I say yes, you say no, OR People are Strange

Good night everyone - thanks for a fun evening.
-
The mirror is quiet. Waiting for their cues from Trump, Fox, Rove or Romney?
-
Mirror, mirror on the wall who's the fairest of them all??? OBAMA!!!!!
-
Trump says this proves we are not a democracy. The idiot is right - we're a republic. The type of system we employ is a representative form of democracy (meaning the people vote for people to represent their views instead of directly participating in every bit of legislation). This was done to weigh the needs of the people (the house of representatives) in balance with the needs of the states (the senate).
-
I think the mirror just went BOOM!
-
Isn't that bad luck?
-
LOLGOP
Give Mitt Romney some time. He's having a hard time admitting that there's something that he can't buy.
11/6/12 9:25 PM -
Nobody around but crickets anyway, Riley ;-D
-
Watching the camera sweeps of the two campaign halls tells the story. The Presidents hall represents the whole country and you can see, young, old, all races, men and women. Romney's hall.......conformity central.
-
There is nothing less attractive than a sore loser.
Good night ladies.
-
@dailykos: With 57% in, Michelle Bachmann is clinging to a 350-vote lead. t.co/zsGDRTqc
-
Rosemary, you are so right.
You too Chickadee.
-
Markos:
Patrick Murphy takes 1K-vote lead over Alan West, which would be quite the "cherry on top" tonight.
-
And Patrick Murphy is now ahead of West. I sure hope that holds.
Edited to add: Kam beat me but I'm leaving it anyway because it makes me happy.
-
That's ok....some things are worth saying more than once

So, if Obama get NV officially, will Romney finally concede? He is so ingracious.
-
@KagroX: If Romney won't concede, Obama can bring an empty chair out on stage with him tonight.
-
Kam, we must be travelling in the same circles.
-
On twitter?
5 minutes from Mr. Romney's remarks. MSNBC speculates possible meltdown. Update - Romney has called Obama to congratulate him...guess he is conceding.
-
On Twitter and the DK Elections page - I tend to read there a lot. Smartest, wonkiest guys around on the Elections page.
Edited to add: I don't have a Twitter account I'm just following the feed.
-
I love Twitter. Except for rumors that can run wild, it's the closest thing we have to realtime democracy. Has so many values that I'm just discovering.
-
CONGRATULATIONS PRESIDENT OBAMA! And congratulations to the U.S.A! And for the REpublcans, Welcome to the 21st Century!
-
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Happy dance!!!!
Some real heroes IMO are all those people who insisted on their right to vote even when they were forced to stand in line and wait for hours and hours.
-
Congrats, all you smart folk south of the border! You've made the rest of us very happy!
And yes, WR -- those steadfast folk who stood in line for hour upon hour to exercise their franchise have our utmost respect.
-
Holy Cow - you girls have been busy - I'm glad you got your wish - Romney was scary even though I don't agree with leftist politics.
-
I think that the Romney campaign truly believed they were going to win and so had not spent any time on a concession speech. I think the delay in make the concession was because appropriate comments had to be drafted. I think Romney's speech was fine.
The election is over and the Supreme Court is safe for another 4 years, so now we all have serious problems to resolve.
Good Night, all.
-
I think many people here sighed with relief as Obama won. Even though we have a conservative government we are anti nuclear, support social welfare and health care and so on, and Romney frightened many with some of the things he was saying. We were worried about the impact on the world.
-
Wise words Alyson

-
Good morning everyone, welcome to the Obama next four years. I went to bed, Romney still hadn't conceded. Woke up and O has 50 percent and won the popular vote. A good morning indeed.
-
Sweet! Fell asleep last night to the voice of Wolf Blitzer calling the election for Obama. Woke up this morning and discovered it wasn't a dream! YAY!!!
