Gerson Therapy

Hi joelelee! Uh, no, I wasn't trying to vandalize your thread, or discussion.....
And I think it's great that you are wanting to try alternative methods for your cancer! Just sometimes the risks really do outweigh the benefits.......... Some diets, pills, beliefs HAVE helped a lot of women. And some have not. But before you try something off "the beaten path" just run it past your "team"....I mean your Oncologist.
It's GOOD that you are researching every option! I am into more integrative, or complimentary methods myself.... I would advise anyone to drink Aloe Vera, or take lots of Vit.C, or even DimPlus after their conventional treatments, but that's just MY opinion. But I would invite anyone else with a different take on this, to tell me their thoughts!
So keep on researching and asking lots of questions.... We are all here to help you.....
-
Thanks for the support, chevy.
I do believe that every treatment, including conventional, has it's pros and cons and I would never run my alternative protocol by my 'team!' I would never ask them for advice on a topic for which they nothing about, common sense here. I really see no benefit in chemo, sorry if this upsets some people. There have been many studies showing that the benefit is definitely temporary. I would neevr wish to kill my immune system and destroy my organs. I am sorry if this sounds harsh, just my opinion...and, we all have the right to follow our gut and our heart! I do plan on starting Gerson. My Norwalk juicer just arrived and I am in love with it. I will be doing the coffee enemas, the supplements, making my own lipo Vitamin C which is more effective than IV vitamin C. I also take DIM and am looking into DMSO and chinese herbs. I am convinced this is the way to go for ME.
-
Forgot to mention...I have been in touch with sooo many women who have cured their own breast cancers using alternative treatments...many of them used Gerson. I also have some breast cancer survivors in my family and friends circle who also have a good survival track record...bottom line is everyone is so different and everyone reacts so differently to each healing protocol...we all just have to believe in what we are doing in healing ourselvers or our choice of protocol, whether it be chemo or alternative will not work.

-
yep! VERY familiar with Jessica Ainscough, Wellness Warrior! I follow her blog as well. She has cured her cancer using Gerson and her mother is currently on Gerson for her breast cancer.
-
I DO support you Joellelee! I don't always agree with everyone, but it IS their choice! And whether I think it is right or wrong, really doesn't matter........ I support ANYone with breast-cancer...and will always wish them the best.
I choose not to do the Gerson, or the cupping procedures, but that is just me. And yes, I have researched both ideas, but it isn't for me. I like to think the conventional methods....(surgery, MammoSite device for radiation, and 14 months of Tamoxifen) have stopped the cancer in it's tracks!
Whatever you do, best of luck!
-
Hi Chevyboy, I did say 'thanks for the support" in my post
...I know you were well meaning Best of luck to you! -
Jessica Ainscough will be interviewed next week as part of the second annual Healing Cancer Worldwide Summit. The format is the same as last year -- everyone can listen for free during designated time slots. I listened last year and I'm very much looking forward to this year's lineup too. For dates, times, list of participants and free registration, go to https://s3.amazonaws.com/cancerworldsummit.com/index-launch-day.html

I've watched 3 Gerson movies and read the biography about Max Gerson - forget which one explained why the treatment had such success with melanoma, but they explained that most melanomas are not treated with chemo\radiation, and they feel that this is why it's more effective.
I loved the interview with a retired chief of staff (from one of the big cancer institutes) who claimed that a week at Gerson was horribly expensive. Last I checked, Gerson charges 5500.00 a week (includes your caretaker) - I had one chemo that was $34,000.00 for three hours...ha! I believe that this was from the movie Dying to Have Known.
-
On another note, I have been a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for 33 years and have learned that Big Pharma rules the Roust; they buy so much advertising in the medical journals, they can pretty much control the articles that are published - this is why alternative studies are not published in the mainstream medical journals. And then the main-streamers say "There's no published documentation to support their claims"....argggg
-
I believe Wink is right. I just read an article on Dr. Mercola's website about the American Cancer Society and Astra Zeneca and it was an eye opener. I know not everyone will agree with him but some of what he says, I believe to be true.
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2000/10/29/breast-cancer-awareness.aspx
-
Thanks Rosy! The American Cancer Society is always under investigation for corruption. Same with Sloan Kettering (tho not a nonprofit).
-
Agree, Natty, that darn Sloan Kettering is, as you say, "always under investigation for corruption." If I were you, Natty, I would definitely stay away from any of those darn nationally recognized cancer institutions because they're all just part of one grand conspiracy!
Blessings!
-
Honestly, I don't think the ACS is corrupt, I just think they suck and are ineffective. I used to work in the medical research field (non-profit side) and the way non-profits like ACS and Komen fund research is completely ineffective. Not cure-driven at all. And it's not a matter of researchers being lazy or corrupt. The whole system is set up to discourage progress. If you want to see an organization doing it right, check out the Myelin Repair Foundation - I hope that everyone moves to their model of research. It's amazing!
-
Imagine a study from Duke University Medical Center in 1999 published in a science journal regarding the dangers of tamoxifen, thats 13 years ago, totally scary.
Sweetbean, how did you find out about Komen and ACS being ineffective. A friend of my family also told me about Komen being as they put it. "no good". I'm checking out the foundation you mentioned. Thanks.
-
Agree with sweetbean. Part of the reason why they are ineffective is because, IMO, a cancer cure is NOT their top priority. Their political power is. Both have frequently formed associations with corporate polluters. Cancer patients have suffered because organizations claiming to seek a cure are too embedded in the status quo to really want one. I don't even trust the medical information they provide that much because it is geared towards maintaining the status quo.
-
Apologies if if this is already posted, but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2xY2cxto1M Pink Ribbons documentary trailer.
sigh, I had such a hard time with my diagnosis because I understand the corruption throughout. I am always researching new ways to kill this crap and stop the chemo from killing me. 7 years now, I have been ONLY organic/NON GMO, no substitute. But I had 35 years of eating crap. My pregnancy made me go organic.
Before diagnosis, I saw Dr. Fuhrman on PBS. His diet is GOMBS (Greens, Onions, MUSHROOMS, Beans and Berries, Seeds) At around the same time, I met someone who actually shrank his gmothers tumors with MUSHROOMS. So it all came together. Already knew about Gerson and Mercola yearS ago.
After diagnosis, I looked at vids by suzanne somers. Then I found Dr. Simoncini. I've actually spoken to one of his patients and have been in contact with him - sending my films and reports to Italy. His book is CANCER IS A FUNGUS and I am thinking to continue on my chemo schedule (against everything that I believe) until he can administer his injections and either have the tumor extracted there or here. His point is to kill the colonies before surgery.
Great thread btw

-
Thank you for posting the pink ribbons documentary trailer. Certainly is an eye opener. And who do I see, Dr. Susan Love, who seemed to be as disgusted with this as everyone else. This is so shameful.
Best if luck to you SeattleMama. Hope all goes well for you.
-
you're welcome for the trailer - I want to see the documentary in its entirety!!
best of luck to you too, rosy

My wife has been on Gerson for 53 weeks...I'm doing the juicing & all the other things. She did not have Chemo or Radiation.
She is on Hormone therapy also. We followed the book "healing the Gerson way" to one coffee enema, but with stage 4 breast cancer
have now increased to 3 a day.
The first few month's were really hard for both of us.
But now it has become our life style.
We use a norwalk juicer...there are less expensive juicer + press
We go thru about 120 lbs of produce every week, that includes
our meals.
We are looking at 24 months then...we will see where we go
from there. As I said it seems like a daily chore now.
Hope this helps. Escape
-
Escape, thanks for posting. Was your wife diagnosed stage IV from the start or did she progress from a lower stage? If so, when was initial DX and when was progression?
-
She was stage 4 when an oncologist wanted her to do chemo
right away. After doing a research on chemo/radiation/surgery
we passed on that. She was doing well until I believe when we
reduced to one enema a day following the chart "healing with
Gerson"...I contacted Gerson and they said with stage 4 she needs 3 enemas per day. I was willing to start over...very difficult
at first. Plus she has anxiety attacks so she is taking meds for
that along with hormone drugs. I believe the meds/drugs are setting
us back. But we started this journey and it will take time.
She is still stage 4 I believe, our Goal is to restore the liver.
The liver is the only Organ that will reproduce it'self
Max Gerson said it takes about 18 months, but Charlotte
his daughter says: today with more toxins we need at least
24 months.
I believe after that the immune system can take over.
From what I understand the immune system is the only
thing that can search out cancer cells and destroy them.
We live with cancer cells and the immune system is catching
and destroying them every single day.
Chemo may, but it damages our immune system.
DX! I guess you mean when she was first tested.
Well a doctor told her the lump in her breast was nothing to worry about...then about 2 yrs later.....Aug of 2011, we found
out she had stage 4 breast cancer. Needless to say I have no
trust in doctors...some anyway.
Thanks for replying. "Escape": is our 3 yr Greyhound.
I forgot to say our Norwalk is called a juicer, but it grinds
then you place in a tray...I think 2000 lbs of pressure for
juicing. So the less expensive way has to be a grinder +
a press.
-
Escape, thanks for answering the questions and I hope your wife regains her liver.
-
I have been doing the coffe enemas, wheat grass and flax implants starting 10 months ago. I've blended Gerson, Hippocrates, Optimum Health Institute, The Budwig Diet, Phoenix Tears, etc....
I am doing really well getting the tumors to reduce or disappear.
-
Hi everyone,
I'm starting Gerson officially very soon but unofficially have been doing it at home for a few weeks. I'm off to the Gerson Clinic in Hungary and have found a certified practitioner close to home who is going to work with me. Just need to find out from my normal doctor if they'll do monthly blood tests on the NHS. Somehow I doubt it. So thankful for the support of my wonderful husband who is juicing apples and carrots as we speak. Waiting for the results of my oncotype DX report from Santa Monica but will not be going with chemo whatever the result says. Charlotte Gerson is more forgiving about radiotherapy as it doesn't poison the liver. Blubelle, at home I have also blended therapies a bit as I've been eating the FOCC instead of porridge for breakfast and having another one in the afternoon. I mix it with organic bee pollen to improve the taste. Wishing you all well on your healing journey.
-
I would seriously like to know how everyone is doing, and can you please update us ? I feel sure that others reading this thread, want to know also. It has been several months since, and I sincerely hope all are well. Thankyou.

Hi All,
These posts are almost a year old so I don't know if anyone will read this but I'm inquiring about my best friend who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was given a full hysterctomy, removal of her appendix as it spread there, too. She is now undergoing chemo (16 weeks, once a week). I've been vegetarian for 4 years, but recently learned about The Gerson Miracle. I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge of how Gerson Therapy works post chemo. She also has a colostomy, but there was no cancer in her colon and it will be reversed, however, she can't really follow Gerson at this time, due to the colostomy. The diet for the colostomy is so toxic and is everything one shouldn't eat when healthy, let alone with cancer and at such a deficit due to chemo. Any information would be helpful.
Many thanks.
-
I can't offer any answers to your specific questions as I am just beginning to read the book, The Gerson Therapy. But I wanted to alert you that there are resources listed in the book for local practitioners and phone consultations with the Gerson Institute. You should start there, I think.
Bless you for helping your friend.
-
Hi Karmagal, there is a modified Gerson Therapy for people to follow if they've had chemotherapy. Essentially it involves 10 juices per day (standard therapy is 13 - you don't drink the 3 carrot juices) and 3-4 coffee enemas per day. The standard therapy includes castor oil orally and via enema and this is not recommended to patients who have undergone chemotherapy. Best regards.
-
I know someone who did Gerson therapy for breast cancer and the cancer got worse.
