Undecided women not liking Romney blah blah blahing
-
Romney smiling like a schoolboy who has properly memorized his lines - even though they are bogus.
-
"you would not provide govt assit to auto industry [in a managed bankruptcy] .......obama right....romeny having romnesia on this fact.
-
He doesn't know the meaning of what he has memorized.
-
Bill Maher:
"First debate, all agreed, Obama lost; second one, i say he won, but Romney not trounced. But this one? Only bubbledwellers can say Mitt won"
"Mitt keeps taking issue with being criticized tonight - did they tell him this is a debate?"
-
Romney on a litany about domestic policy - no ideas of his own - AND off topic.
GOP= the party of no
-
Romney Rambling again
-
Based on closing statements, Undecideds loved Obama....flatlining on Romney
-
Speaking of foreign relations, remember this (Mitt's visit before the Oympics).....

-
"I'm optimistic about the future - I'm excited about the prospects of our nation."
Those are words you might expect to hear from the CEO of a small start-up. They are Romney's words about America. EITHER he is acknowledging that Obama gave America a bright future, in which case he is contradicting himself, OR he is talking platitudes. I will take the latter.
Romney will be one of the more forgettable also-rans in American history. That we can now say for sure.
-
Is Tagg apologizing for wanting to slug Obama while they hug each other?
-
Lol! ^
-
Chris Matthews is right - they did not talk about the European Union. A HUGE omission - and one that has persisted throughout the campaign. Arguably the situation in Europe is the biggest foreign policy challenge the US faces. Iran is a Bibi Netanyahu-manufactured non-crisis. The Iranians don't even have a weapon to nuclearize.
I feel that Romney was parlaying Netanyahu's talking points (which are not those of Israel - only those of its radical nutso PM) - not those that truly are in the interests of the United States. As usual, he is on the side of his friends, and not his country.

Great debate! Nighty night!
-
Kam, Belinda, Athena et al - thanks for saving me watching the debate - my bp just couldn't take it - no doubt I'll be seeing the highlights for the next week on every channel.
-
I had class tonight, so thank you all for the play by play on the debate!
-
Check out Albert Brooks tweet - he's won the award for Best Tweet of the Night...
https://twitter.com/AlbertBrooks/status/260565923788890112
Expect all remember Brooks in Broadcast News...hysterical!!!! Good thing Willard wasn' wearing his John Boehner makeup...
I am SO PROUD of the President of the United States.
-
I think Romney is looking for some antacids right now.
(Burp!) -
MSNBC talking about Romney not getting caught up on the wrong side of an issue, therefore agreeing with Obama rather than not stating what he believes, or atleast what he believed last week. Romney was replicating popular opinion.
-
Think I'd like to drink whatever our counterparts on the other thread are drinking - they're even upset with George Will for pity's sake - ABC is now LIBERAL and they are ONLY trusting Faux News - yikes!
-
Romney was blinking so much I thought his eyelids would fly off. It certainly answered my question on whether he believed the "stuff" coming out of his mouth. Evidently, he doesn't.
-
John Kerry, who practiced with Obama, as Romney, is dumbfounded by Romney's change on position on withdrawal from Afghanistan. "Mitt Romney really scared me tonite. He's going to take us back to Bush policies...we're in serious trouble. Half of the things he said were off the wall."
-
One final thing..any candidate stupid enough....STUPID ENOUGH...to talk about the number of ships the US Navy had in 1917 compared to today, does not deserve to be Commander in Chief, period.
-
We have fewer battleships because we have these. Unless you have seen one up close, you have no idea how big they are, but this documentary certainly give you the idea.
-
I'm proud to be an American with a great American President.
This was a great debate....Romney started out not answering the first question --- might just have well, many of the rest of his answers were dry, boring, totally flip-flopped or bearing little resemblance to facts. To the loser's corner.

Rob Portman, in the spin room, was having a difficult time defending Robme's lie on government money being available for the autobailout during a managed bankruptcy.
Robme needs to win Ohio, so he probably calculated he could lie on this one and it would be worth it.
-
Fact check will have fun on this debate. I, too, am proud of our President. He showed Governor Romney that he was totally out of his league. Totally unimportant, but, what did MR have in his hair? It was glistening. Yuck! I chose the debate over Monday Night Football and I am totally a football nut! So thankful that our president woke up from the nap he was taking during the first debate!

The biggest blooper of the night ...
ROMNEY: "Syria is Iran's only ally in the Arab world. It's their route to the sea."

Mr. Romney has been watching too much Faux Noise or slept through geography class. Not an impressive performance to say the least.
Edited to change to easier to read map.

The GOP strategy is to turn Romney into a moderate, while during the primaries he was "severely conservative". Well, whatever it takes to get elected, I guess.
The problem is: if he is elected, which Romney will emerge? Will he go against the teabaggers? Will he, or won't he, adopt all the social conservative measures the reichwing wants him to? Will he get rid of Obamacare? Will he start a war against Iran and send more Americans to die? Will he really order 15 new warships and 3 new submarines? How will he pay for them? Who honestly agrees that he can balance the budget with all these new expenditures by getting rid of stuff HE thinks is unimportant to the American people?
The well-lubricated weathervane who leaves all thinking and informed people with huge question marks about what he will do? Who believes he can lie (to the public, if not just to himself) with impunity?
And people would actually vote for this weathervane? This liar? This person who believes that all people become gods when they die and inhabit their own planets? That Joseph Smith, the convicted felon, was actually a prophet who uncovered golden tablets and then conveniently got rid of them before anyone could ask for proof?
UN-BEE-LEE-VABLE! Unbelievable that so many people could be so gullible......

Thanks for the live-blogging, ladies! I've read your comments here and comments of friends on FB ... now I can go look at the news articles! I can safely gather that the President blew Mittens back to wherever it is that he crawled out from ... *WHEW!* WR, Robme said that line about Syria being Iran's only route to the sea several months ago, when the uprising started. He's said it several times -- and now in a debate in prime time?! Apparently his staff believes that, too, since nobody has corrected him. Maybe on the planet where he comes from, but not on this one!
OK, off for breakfast and then work ... TTYL!
