how about drinking?

NM, good deal on taking the bus and saving that money. I have done that here, but took a plane to Phoenix. If I get my ticket early enough, the flights are like $80. So what I would pay for gas and to park my car for 10 days, same cost. Plus I’m there in 45 minutes as opposed to a 4 hour drive. Glad you enjoyed the class.
Sue, glad that your DD is getting a little bit better. She will be going to Mayo end of this month?
Cami, sorry for the horrible names in the drinks, but they are REAL. The drinks and the names, I did not make them up! Glad you are feeling better. I’m sure you take those pain pills cuz you NEED them, not cuz you’re addicted.
Cool pictures Lara!
Bernie LOL, you mean you weren’t MAD before? I thought that was why we loved you so much! Belgium soon, remind us again when you leave. I think a lot of us are traveling or having procedures done on the same day, Wed and Thurs. My dad was a biker, and they too always had fund raisers for things for kids. Just not something you would think that bikers would do, but a very common thing.
Sue, I hope they keep up with the DOTD whilst you gone to bisit DorK n Alli. But if not, hey it was fun.
Cyn, sorry bout da hot flashes, I have em bad too. No experience with the cold pillow tho. See if you can’t find online reviews. I have a little fan by my bed, one next to my chair, one on my desk and one in the kitchen. Keep a folded fan in my purse. Look into taking something for them. There are anti d’s that help, I opted out of those and I take Clonodine, which is actually a high blood pressure med. I SOOOO can’t wait to be done, 1 more year.
NM, have you noticed any changes since being off Arimidex? Oh wow, what a cool maize, is that for real? The sink should be filled wif wodka, not coffee……lol! Enjoy the kids, but I know you will and they will too. Any chance we can see pics?
Dork, glad to see you stepping up in style. But I have always thought you were a first class, classy goil. I did not get any of my Hallow Weenie stuff out dis year.
Hi TAB and welcome. Any friend of NM’s is a friend of ours!!!! Did she fill you in?
Katrinka, where you be? Hmmmm, I don’t see Mr. Big around either.
For NM----------------THE TROUBLEMAKER
¼ glass of beer
½ shot Tequila
½ shot Jagermeister
¾ glass Red Bull
Mix 1/2 Shot Jagermeister, 1/2 Shot Tequila in a 12oz Glass. Fill glass 3/4 with Red Bull. Fill glass with your beer of choice
Gonna do some cleaning and start packing. Going to be gone longer than I thought for this trip. Arriving in Nashville on Thursday and won't be coming home until Nov. 5th. I hate packing!

Goldie they certainly didn't offend me LOL just sounded icky (the name) but the ingrediants sound super good to me. LOL
-
-
LOL Cami, I know that you REALLY weren't offended!
-
Lori, Mese is here but barely. Look jest like dat pick Cami jest posted. Can't get moving today. Slept till 10 ayem!!! But wasn't sleeping real good before that. MIght be the new meds I am on....may take awhile to get used to them.
Hi to the newest loungette! AND you posted a drink right off the bat...you go girl! Glad you joined us dwunks.
NM, great post as usual, and I ditto what was said about great info for Sue's DD! And that maze, awesome!!!
Dorkie, so glad you has a new fone!!! Yippee. I also ditto what Lori said about you being a classy lady. Hope your parents are doing ok.
Hi to everyone else! Sorry you have to work today, Cyn! Beautiful day here, we are taking my parents for a ride this afternoon to a mountain that should have beautiful fall colors, and has a lake, trails, covered bridge to walk over the water, etc.
OH, when you talked about liking to grocery shop, Cyn, it reminded me that I used to LOVE to grocery shop.....my late DH was a WD store manager, and had to work such long hours, that mostly it was fun getting to see him! My heart fluttered whenever I was around him. After he passed, I hated to even go in a grocery store...too many memories. So my DH now loves to grocery shop, so I just let him, although he goes hog-wild and gets so much stuff that if I want to buy something for ME, there is not any room. LOL. We will never go hungry here!
Have a good day girls, I still need more coffee to wake up. OH, and yeah MR. Big has been sleeping too.....*wink,wink*...
Hugssssssssssssssssssssssssss,
Kathy

Halfway thru the day...!! I actually felt more fatigued today than I did on 2 hours sleep yesterday..could have something to do with the Nattys...nahhhhh....
Welcome to the HTL Tab!!!
NM....really cool Maze...how do they do that...pretty amazing. Have fun carving pumpkins...I had hoped to help carve on my trip but it never did happen..they sell all kinds of pumpkin varieties at Walmart there...big goards but they dont have them here...I was bummed.
Dorothy....it will be great to have Mema there ...Im sure she will keep you in line..but who will keep her in line??? Uh oh...I see trouble ....trouble is fun!!!
Lori, My mom is taking Clonodine for her hot flashes..I may ask my Dr about it...Donese and I were looking at those pillows online...there are different kinds..the one she saw was gel...not sure that would be very cumfy...and really ..I would love to be able to see it and feel it first before dropping 50 bills for it. Good luck packing..I dont like the unpacking..means vaca is over...luckily I did all my laundry before leaving so I only had to put most of it away...which is good because I left my hamper full to the brim when I left so I have a chit load of laundry to contend with tonight. Have a safe trip.
Camy..I've noticed there are so many ways we spell your name ...I may just go with Cam...that much is consistant..I get funcused after the M..wondering if I should add another M and a Y or just leave the one M and a Y....
Katwinka...sweet story about your first DH....what store did he manage?
ok lata..work calls....ha..and now Im two hours closer to the end..love how that works.
-
Cyn, I am exhausted today too, and I slept tons. You are prolly still catching up with that late traveling and not much sleep. Yeah, and *maybe* the natty's have sumtin to do wid it! LOL. My late DH worked at WinnDixie for about 24-25 yrs(started at 15 or 16), and managed several of them. Most of his big family worked there at one time or another (he had 8 brothers and 2 sisters)..he was the 3rd bro to die of heart attack, and another bro that managed the meat dept at WD died the following yr of heart attack. And my DH was only 41. Was the youngest in his family (he always said his parents finally got it right when he was born, so they stopped). He also had 20 yrs as a Green Beret in the NG, and had a tour in VietNam. Two of this other brothers were also Green Berets, but he was the only Jumpmaster. His funeral was very moving...a BIL who was currently a Green Beret read the "Green Beret" song, and they had the 21 gun salute. And there werer over 300 people at the service. Thanks for asking, I love talking about him! Now to get my parents and go to the mountain!
ChEARS!

Good evening, Loungettes! I am sitting here very tired and very happy. Spend the day getting lost in a corn maize, bouncing on a jumping pillow, carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, and yakking with a good friend. Ah, live is good!
DorKable--I got an iPhone for work, it is fun once you get it worked out! And FlyLady is great, isn't she??
Hey, Gang, meet TAB55--she was posting on another thread about drinking wine and, ah, tiquilla? I forget what the other stuff was, but she sounded so muchly like us that I invited her over to the lounge for a visit!
Cammy--we got not only merely, but completely and sincerely lost in the maize today! It was great fun, though. There are numbered poles in the maize, and you pick up a passport going it. The passport has a question for each pole, based on your answer to the question you turn left, right, or go straight. Get all the questions right and you go right through. We saw poles number 1,2, 5, 7 and 10, to give you an idea how well we did, or didn't do!
Goldie--Taking the bus was more for my nerves than the money, I get paid mileage and reimbursed for meals during training. I just don't like driving in Boston, or driving long stretches like that in general. Besides, it was nice to be able to gab away with my friend during the ride! And, yes, I have noticed changes since coming off the arimidex and gabapentin. Many few and much milder hot flashes. Less brain fog. I actually feel like I have some energy. Less creakiness in the hips and back. AND, I've begun losing weight! Slowly, but steadily over the last couple of weeks. I didn't get pics at the maize, I forgot to take my camera! I was so disappointed when I realized I forgot my camera.
Wahine--I thought Tabby would fit in here, looks like I was right!
CynCyn--I did have a lot of un, thanks!
ORLA--you always find the greatest pics!
-
NM I knew u'd get lost, but that's what makes it even more funner.

-
Thanks for the welcome! I just had one of those poquito picantes. It was very nice. We planted pansies today. My MIL, her brother and his wife are coming to town. My DH and I have been cleaning and freshening up for the past week. We don't want them to see how we really live! My drinking might increase as the arrival date approaches (a good way to attain inner peace) ....
-
And it was margaritas I like. In honor of the Mexican side of my family. Although I'm a fan of tequila shots too.
-
TAB that's reall inner and outer peace. Cheers
-
hiya goils! whatcha all dwinking? I habing de usual. Did I miss pau hana? oops.
hello to Tab-tab fi five, welcome. and yes, a fwend of NM's is a fwend of r's. whatcha dwinking? I send you 14 margaritas and 19 chots of tekilla, five chots for me. and dwinking does bring out de inner peace, amen to that! I lift my glasses upon glasses atch goils....cheers!

Early morning cheerfulness can be extremely obnoxious.

-

i'm working hard as you can see. sue, i wish jen had nephros like the ones we deal with they are very anal especially about their transplant patients. . but i will say that er only focuses on what you went there with ,they don't always take prior history into account, -

Good morning, Loungettes!
Cammy--are you implying that I am directionally challenged? I thought everyone already knew that!!!!
Tabby--any way you can find inner peace is good. If it involves alcohol, even better! Margaritas-right! That's the other one you like. Got that almost right. . .
DorKable--you're slowing down on the dwinkin, deah, need to get back in the groove!
BBBBernie-- yes, early morning cheerful can be painful.
Juliet--too true, ER doc particularly can be tunnel visioned.
Cammy--not sure if I want to be zen or Meow today!
-
NM I wasn't implying that, it was a statement. LOL
