Hi DahhhlinKs! Yep…dat greeting usually means I’m in da sauce…dat means booze…K? And I am sooo far behind too…so forgive my responses that are old now…heehee…like me!
Alli - I’m thinking of you…all day I been thinking of you….I hope today was not too stressful and that you hab time to visit da lounge. Mese gots a big big big dwink fer ya and saving the hammock wif 2 Tenders to handle your every need. BIG HUGZ!!
Dork - Have been thinking of you too…hope and prayed all day!! Hope you can check in later.
My Jengirl…I misspelled it…MRSA is correct…mese tinks. They did not admit her…took culture of this goiter thing on her leg, did blood work…got mad dat previous ER gave her Batrim (not supposed to give to kidney pts EVER) but let her go home with oral anti-biotics. Called her last night…sed she has to go in today to repeat bloodwork as her WBC was elevated and her Creatinine also. She has not had a good run of things, being so immune-suppresent…she jes seems to get sick too much. She said it’s why she is ‘such a cranky bitch’…LOL. Hope to hear good news, that its not mrsa and her wbc and creatinine are down, before bedtime. Otherwise I will call her.
Thanks for all the prayers girls. You are all soooo darn speshall…jes can’t tail ya how much ya mean to me…MUAH!!
Bernie - glad da meatloaf turned out…lol on WaWa talking meat loafing, loafing, etc. O mese! And yes….jes add the can (5oz) well not the can, jes whats inside the can. You can use any kinda tuna not jes albacore and it can be packed in oil, jes not my fav. Just drain it well whatever you use.
Cami - u not boring…u funniest hail…swear. Holding on for balance…LOL…its true tho…most times that’s why I’m arm n arm wif my DH, jes to keep me from falling. Yeah…divorced women and college goils do da waitressing and bartending. I did it too, off n on for bout 8 years. Talk about embarrassing…I was leaving the 21 pit at a BIG place in LV with loaded tray in 1 hand, empty glasses in the other, squeezing thru a 21 table n da Big Wheel, well one a dem spokes on da wheel reached out n grabbed me uniform and jes plopped mese tit out fer the whole casino to see. Everyone clapped! Tanks fer the warm thots on my DD. MRSA is very common for immune-suppresent peeps who go to the hosp. We all could get it, but worse for others. And about the pbj’s…yeah…I went to catholic school too…that’s all we ate, even at home…hmmm!
Bernie - good point about the fillers used nowadays. I took penicillin(sp) all my young life, well not a lot, but when needed…then into my 20’s had allergic reaction…n yeah, no warning…scary shit. Allergies can come and go in a persons life. I always, always, carry benedryl tabs with me too. OOOO tooo ferciting….next Thursday…to Belgium…ooo mese wud b jealous…but I’ll be in NJ wif Dork and then in KY wif Alli….can’t stop grinning…bet you will have a blast jes like mese!!
Lori - I don’t have to keep loggin in but I can’t use another computer to post, even when I DO log out on this one. (ya kno like at my dd’s, never have gotten it to work). Tank ewe fer da prays and congrats for DD and for posting the info on MRSA. She thinks it is bug bite, but it is 2nd one she’s had in last few months. Still waiting for the culture. And of course, if it gets into her bloodstream…well…not going there. WOW…no like da Velvetta…ooohhhh….toooo bad…more for me…I don’t indulge often, but when I do…oink oink!
We’re having fun with the DOTD’S tho. This one we did not have to improvise and it was delish. I had 3..4...oh don’t member…but the beer on top…really made the diff.
My…dat DOTD Dizzy Dame sounds right up my alley too as well as the ROO one. We have plenty to choose from at work now and besides…it’s only turning out to be about 4 days a week since Karaoke is 3 a week. But it’s been good.
Orla - am hoping the travel chit ends by Dec too…one day home not good at all…but u still manage to cwack me da hail up wif ur chit…er I mean flowery chit…LOL! Seriously tho…pull the card…get your boss to listen…will be praying that you get it worked out! Oopps…gosh I am behind…well then CONGRATS for being praised and singled out and getting things squared away…YaHoo!!
Wawa - You don’t like pasta…ooo give me Olive Garden…I make pasta at home all the time too….prolly why Iz sooo fat. hee hee. I don’t really have it all that often, but I do like it. N cheddar cheese, yum…I’m good with it melted on a tortilla for lunch sometimes.
Hi ChrissyB - you sound biddy…jes kiddin. We used to use dat woid to describe an old hag woman. Old Biddy! LOL…but mese unner stands wha u means. How exciting for your DD and then having fwend from NZ…glad u finding time to dwink!!
Juliet - I take da Caltrate…didn’t kno u could get prescribed for it. ConGrats on your gyno appt too. Dat wonderful. HMMM probiotics while on antibiotics? Will have to look into that.
Cyn - you r prolly on your airplane leaving TX now…all I can say ((((Cyn))))
Lubs lubs lubs lubs lubs ya'll!!
-
Allison-very sorry about your FIL. Lori-I'm glad you liked my friends. I intend to bring more. Mema-haven't seen the boys yet but I will when I go to Vegas in Nov. Camille-we haven't met but you seem like a great addition to the HTL. Everyone else have a great weekend. Cheers.

Good news for you Lara, congrats and here’s a dwink foy ewe.
Julie, I call it a PABST! Good luck with the results. Caltrate, just some sort of calcium?
Welcome home Cyn, smile, have a beer, rest up, have a beer, be grateful for the woman and relationship you have found, have a beer, know how much we love you, have a beer………and did I mention……..HAVE A BEER! For some reason, I find it funny that you are taking Bernie some Tuna. I wonder why it’s so expensive there. I like to mix mine, white and regular, but it has to be in water, not the oil. Beside, the stuff in oil is all soy bean oil, bad chit.
Cami, be half full, not half empty. We luv your crazy arse.
Sue, OMG LMAO about your tit falling out. But meese nose you took it like a trooper. Your poor sweet daughter, she sure needs to catch a break, DAYEM! Praying that all goes well for her Sue. I’m getting fercited foy you, DorK and Alli! Meetings are SO MUCH FUN and I am blessed and so thankful for getting to meet you and Kathy. And glad you saw the Dizzy Dame and Rood winks. I thought of you when I found the Dizzy Dame, but it was actually foy Cami. Tropical Heart should have had an AKA Tropical Fart…………….LMAO!
Bernie, hope you had fun at the party. Do you have pictures to share? WE LUV PICTURES YA KNOW, and you are always good at sharing.
Haha Shannon, I’ll bet that lost stud was claimed by EVERYONE!
Cami, sorry for the headache and runs and to have both at the same time, did you find a cork? 5 years is a long time to have to deal with chit, hugs for you (((((CAMI)))))
Alli, I too was thinking of you yesterday. I hope everything went smoothly. Now for your fun girl’s weekend, cuz YOU STILL 39!
Ok, the movie was good, a little too much “gore” for me tho. Lots of shooting/violence/car chasing. I liked the first one better, seemed like it had more suspense to it. But it was still a good movie.
Happy Sat-TURD-day ladies, hope you all have a fantabulous weekend. I need to clean, and start packing. Heading out of here Wednesday morning, see the pellet doc and then off to TN on Thursday. Dorty’s surgery day. I will be cloning meese self so I can be there Dort.

Good morning. Loungettes! We had a great class in Boston yesterday, a not so much fun drive home in the rain, but overall a great trip. Took the bus from Portland to Boston, much less wear and tear on the nerves and just about the cost of gas if I drove all the way. And much nicer to go with someone.
Goldie--I'm not having any problems getting on the boards, I've had to sign in every time since the last format change. The only things I've noticed is the direct posting of copied text, and they brought back the options for posting photos (left, right, center, that sort of thing). I was in Bawston overnight. Had a great class, too!

Cammy--There's lots of theories about why there is such an increase in peanut allergies in kids nowadays. Bottom line is no one knows. One of my cousins has a little boy who is so severely allergic to peanuts that they can't even buy food made in places that process nuts. They have to know where everything comes from to protect him. It' kinda scary, considering he started school this year.

MRSA has become a very common germ now-a-days. It's estimated that half the public would test positive for MRSA at any given time. It really has escaped the hospital setting now. It's one of the reasons that many hospitals are going to all private rooms, 'cause you can't tell who has it and who doesn't and by the time you get the testing done you've already lost a day or two. The best protection is to make sure everyone washes or sanitizes their hands before touching you, and that all equipment is cleaned before touching you. That means telling doc's to wash hands and clean the stethoscope before they use it on you. Ideally, no equipment (blood pressure cuffs, oxygen monitors, stethoscopes, everything) should touch you without being cleaned with alcohol.

BBBBernie-- I didn't realize tuna was expensive where you are. Not that it's exactly cheap here, but it's still a poor woman's standby! Belgium sounds like a fun place to visit, wish I was going with you! And the Black Velvet sounds yummy, too!

ORLA--ooh, trouble at work is never fun. Glad you got home for the day, and glad the traveling will end soon! Love the mug!

Wahine--How can anyone NOT like mac and cheese? This baffles me! It's the ultimate comfort food! No accounting for taste, I suppose.
Chrissy--congrats on DD's engagement! How exciting for you!

Good morning, Juliet!
Congrats, Lara! WTG, girl!

CynCyn--safe travels! I remember the movie Sybil. And one called the 3 faces of Eve. I also read or heard somewhere that the patient Sybil is based on and the psychiatrist that wrote the book actually made it all up to get fame and money. Some people in the psych world say that multiple personalities doesn't exist, has never truly been documented. Not sure if I believe that or not, but it makes one think. . .
Mema--Oh, my, what a wardrobe malfunction! At least you got applause and not boos!!!

Undy--good to see you!
Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Pink Margarita

Undy - HI!! Nov for da boyz down under huh? Cool...keep me posted on da dates K? I tink mese lost dat hunkahunk...Julie move outta da way...I'm claiming him...lol.
Julie - her creatinine is now 1.7 from 2 so it is going down. wbc normal. Her neph is blaming the rise in the batrim the ER doc gave her. She not supposed to take batrim. Anyway...she reamed her neph a new one, because SHE calls him when she is going in. He leaves it up to ER staff, then yells at her. But sadly, that team and that hosp are the ONLY game in LV for transplant pts. So glad she is going to Mayo end of the month. She has been drinking lots of water, not much of a drinker anymore, but I still wanna kno why a probio with antibio?
Bernie - me too...I wanna see pics of ur witches costume. That shud be fun...what a neat thing to do!
Orla - LMAO...especially love the Ipad...lol
Cami - sorry your not feeling well...hope it passes later today. I can relate to the weight gain...ugh.
Lori, NM, D, Alli, Cyn, Chrissy....ya'll have a gr8 day!

Babes, I really believe that I have finally gone completely MAD
-
Bernie it's kinda fun going mad. LOL
Orange what pics. Love em.
-
orla love the pics, sue, antibiotics kill the bacteria in your bowel ,good and and some of the bad.so your more prone to diarheea and the dreaded c-diff. so probiotics keep replacing the good bacteria so hopefully you don't get the runs! plus its kills bacteria in your hoo ha so thats why you can get yeast infections
glad jen's creatinine is trending down, nephro is an idiot,if he wont involve himself in her er care, he can't shout about it. bernie glad you had a good time, enjoy belgium. lori, back in work tonight so dotd very appropriate -
-
NM - I don’t have to log in each time, but I too noticed ya only have to say ‘allow’ once now to paste…and even that is a new menu. Sounds like you had a pretty good time in Boston. Love the Pink Margarita. Shudda thot of dat…thank you. N so glad I’m not alone with the Mac n Cheese..definitely comfort food for me. Thank goodness I only feel the need every 3 or 4 months. J
Lori - Turd-Dey Dotd’s…very good…wud love to try one of em. Will take these in to work tamary. I reminded my DH, after I talked to you today…to please change the DOTD and get pics of the board and dwink. We’ll see if he did it.
Cami - what tx are you doing now? It sounds like whatever it is has got some nasty se’s. ((( Cami))) hope you get to feeling better soonliest. LMAO on the dog chasing his tail…don’t take much to entertain me either. I rather like this journey toward ‘madness’!
Orla - Fab pics as usual…thank you!!
Bernie - I still say sooo cool dat u biker babes do dis kinda stuff for da kids…I commend you…course…I gonna laugh til I pee when I see da pics!
Julie - now that makes perfect sense….LOL on your choice of woids for vajayjay…hooha…but seriously…jes reading on another thread about the c-diff…scares the shit (literally and figuratively) out of me and my DD ripe for that chit for sure. I will call her and tail her all this. Yeah, her transplant team sucks eggs! Thank you…muah!!
OK…where is everybody?? I’m in 2, 3, floor killas and guess what Cyn…a Natty. I think…DH bought Natural Light…is dat a Natty? Don matter mese junk…done…jes don’t stick a fork in me…cuz mese don’t like to git stuck. Well…not stuck like dat…leave it at dat.

nm will appreciate this, the nurse that got stabbed ,tonight was her first night back in work.she did get a cna dedicated to working with her so she didn't have to go into any room alone but anyway she has to go to the improving patient experience class, soon, so the suggestion was made when they ask for actual work place situations, she asks whats the proper response to the person whoose just stabbed you
, anybody else thinks this is kind of bad or is it just me, the night shift sent her flowers and she had flowers off a former co worker but management have sent her nothing. -
Good Morning Girls
Happy Sundey Fundey to you all....anyone with fun plans for today? You know my story...work...its ok tho..pays the bills ..right??
SuziQ...you are so funny with your Killa and Nattys....
Julie, you would think that management would acknowledge her in some way. Did she get any kind of compensation while she was out?
These hot flashes are getting to me...seriously...Looking into getting one of those cold pillows..anyone familiar with them?
-
Good morning, Loungettes! Sun is shining, going to spend the afternoon with a couple of youngsters running a corn maze, then carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns. We've been doing this every year since they were 4 and 5, now they are 11 and 12. Gonna be fun! Here's this year's Maize (as they put it):
Mema--antibiotics kill bacteria that are not harmful as well as harmful ones, leaving an inbalance. That's why we ladies get yeast infections when we take antibiotics--the med kills the harmless bacteria keeping the yeast in check so the yeast takes over. The same thing happens in the intestine, causing diarrhea. Probiotics (also found in yogurt) replenish the harmless bacteria and help maintain a balance while the antibiotics are working and help to prevent yeast infections and diarrhea. A tip for your DD--have her list Bactrim as an allergy. When someone asks what reaction she has to Bactrim she can say it tries to kill her kidneys. ER docs with a drop of sense will get the message. Also--she should tell the ER staff to call her nephro before starting any treatment. She can also have her chart at the hospital flagged with the fact that she is a transplant patient and what steps should be taken when she arrives for any reason. Better yet she should type up her medication list, allergies, medical history, surgical history, pertinent info and carry 3 copies with her at all times. One to give the ER, one to give the floor staff, one to show every doc that comes in the room. Do not ever let go of the 3rd one. That's what I do and it saves a lot of time and aggravation. Don't ever assume that info is passed from one unit to another or from one staff person to another. Don't trust the communication systems in a hospital, ever. But then, I've been told that I have trust issues with health care providers.
Cammy--trying not to sound like an addict when you need pain medicine sure is a hard job, isn't it? Change docs can be so hard, in so many ways!

ORLA--where is that pool??? I wanna go!!!!

BBBBernie--going mad is FUN!

Juliet--I think that nurse SHOULD ask how she should have responded in that patient situation. I would go so far as to ask what response would be appropriate from management, too. Of course, I'm a known trouble-maker, so if it were me I'd be asking exactly where on the hospital property my right to a safe work environment becomes secondary to the patient's right to hurt staff. This is a detail all staff should know, to my mind. But like I say, I'm a known trouble-maker. Having been a patient, too, I understand the need for improving patient experience programs, but there are limits. Yeesh!

Good morning loungettes, i hope it a good morning for all mese friends. Sorry to have been absent, I just read through many pages here and am still not caught up.
I got a new toy yesterday, wooo yoooo, go me. I got me an i-phone 4s. So get this, I have had a prepaid plan for oh, maybe 20 years. And I had a flip phone, the dorkiest of all phones. when I step up, I step up in style baby. The phone is overwhelming but I will figure it out.
what is ebbery buddy doing today? I had planned on getting some painting done but it does not look like that will happen until my december vacation week. I do not want to push myself too hard as I see no reason to put added pressure on myself when the paint can wait. I so furcited as I will be meeting Sue on Wednesday. I can't believe the week is here, I am beyond excited. I do wish that I did not have my surgery set for the same day, for Sue's sake, but am grateful that I will have a breastie helping me through those first few hours after surgery and keeping me from misbehaving.
I ended up getting my halloween stuff down from the attic and have my front yard and front porch decorated for fall. It felt good getting that done as I have not done it since pre BC/ pre bmx. I still have to move all of my packed boxes somewhere else inside the house as they are blocking off my living room. I had moved everything in a haste to prepare for having my parents over last week. well I am going to get to work, I have a ton of clothes to sort through and must get a few bags out of here so that I have room to put my winter clothes in my drawers. I am not quite sure where to start but will start with doing laundry then just work from right to left, bottom to top as suggested by flylady. Love that girl.
Cheers all!
-
