Congrats Deborah and good morning to all. I hope you have a wonderful day. Fall is so beautiful.

Thanks to all of you who will be walking in the walk on Saturday. Have a good time! I came up and did the Grant Park walk for a couple of years and have since walked and golfed in those nearer to home. It is such a good way to earn money for our cause and to meet others who have or are struggling through the treatments.
Jackie, I did not get that one message that you sent me or I would have responded. I'll send you an email.
Our cancer center is having their annual free survivor dinner and program tomorrow night. It is always an enjoyable evening, filled with good food, friends, and entertainment. It always amazes me the number of survivors that we have just in our county............and I'm sure that those that attend are only a portion of the total survivors in McLean county.
Susan, I hope the hip is doing better. OUCH! That sounds painful. Hang in there, gal!
Well, it's raining and ugly outside. The rain is bringing down more of our leaves, which means more work! I guess I should get something done around the house.
-
Our team might get interviewed!!! I'll have more details in a few hours. Any team members that didn't get my email please email me.
-
Hi Rita!
My hip will be fine....I have bursitis and if I had done the exercises that I swore to my physical therapist a few years back that I would do daily, I would be in even better shape. I just need to ice.
I truly am excited about the walk. I am especially excited because yesterday I had my annual mammogram and mri (thanks Rene for telling me why I need both ------mammograms gets calcification issues...and got reports today that both are fine. I am six plus years out, so ladies keep moving and doing what you need to do to stay on top of the cancer, as here I am to tell you so many of us can beat this thing. Sadly some cannot due to no failure of their own. The latter explains why I want to walk.....to see that many more women/men remain breast cancer-free.

Went to shirt pick-up and when the woman looked up Illinois Ladies she said-"wow". Yes, that's us-wow!
-
If you're home tomorrow (Thursday) tune into Windy City Live: ABC 7 at 9AM. They are doing a spot with ACS and talking about the walk on part of the show. I'll be in the audience somewhere but I'm not so sure you'll see me.
-
OK Lago--u r such a fighter for cancer it's wonderful
-
Congrats to all the IL ladies that raised funds and awareness for BC! Wish I could join you Saturday. But I'll be there in spirit! Lago, I got it taped and will watch after my treatment this afternoon. Just wear that top in the last picture you posted and we will find you (so will the camera!) have a great time.

When you say "yes" to the "isness" of life, when you accept this moment as it
is, you can feel a sense of spaciousness within you that is deeply peaceful. ~~~ Eckhart Tollethis is one of my favorite authors.
-
Lago, you look beautiful on tv! Wonder why they chose a gyn instead of an oncologist to do the piece.
Good luck to you, Adey, and all the others who are running. I think you're supposed to have wonderful weather. Can't wait to see pictures!
Congrats on the good testing, Susan. I just had mine too, and I'm almost seven years out now. So nice to hear good news.
Cami, I need to check in more often just to have a good laugh at your postings. Always makes me smile!

Hello IL Ladies!!! Long time, no "see"....

You can see today's Windy City Live tomorrow on windycitylive.com. Today's episode had a touching piece about a survivor and the Bright Pink organization.

Okay, for you Lauren, I will do 5:30AM. Yikes!
I know you'll look as good at that ungodly hour as you did at 10:30 this morning. Break a leg, girl!

Great job, Lago! I did not know that Roz Varon was Stage IV BC.

Radiation begins October 29... Can I really see a light ahead? YES!
A great day to all! Especially to those walking tomorrow for us all. -
Hey Lago! Great job on ABC news this morning. You looked beautiful. I'm looking forward to the walk tomorrow. Thanks for all your hard work!
-
Yay Grace!!! happy dance for you.
Thanks everyone… notice I plugged our team. Didn't day our name but let Chicagoland know we rock! We're still #1 but Chi-town is less that $800 away. They raise funds year round so don't feel bad about that. Last year I hear they raised $42K! If you missed it here's the linky.
Roz & I chatted a little. She's doing really well. Found out we have the same onc.
Looks like we got smerf to speak… haven't seen you posting in a while!
-
Grace - CONGRATS! You are on your way!!!!
Lago - I didn't check in and see that you were on this morning....missed it! BOO! I am sure you did a fab job. Can't wait to see you all tomorrow at the walk!!!! Is it still calling for sun? I hope so.....
