Robme is a bully! He's trying to hijack the debate just like he did in the first one. But tonight Obama is on his game and money man can't get away with his tactics.

Obama got a Benghazi question - explaining it well. And accusing Romney of anti-commander-in-chief behavior. Well done.

Romoney not saying anything worth responding to on Libya

If I were a non partisan viewer tonight, one thing I would ask myself is: what are the policies the challenger offers? It's unfair, because in a way the onus is on Romney to prove more than it is on Obama. But if I will vote for a leader, I want to know WHAT I am voting for. And I'm not getting that answer tonight. I am not getting WHAT Romney represents. He is not showing me another way. He is not selling me the "vote for a new leader." He is only picking on Obama. That doesn't suffice.

That's why I think Romney will lose this election.

Obama started slow, but good to see he's got fire in his belly now.

Exporting jobs to China.....hmmmm......what's "trickle down government" (his new trick phrase) got to do with Bain sending jobs to China?  He can only talk in platitudes....let's get down to how many jobs you have personally sent to China Mr. Romney.

I have to admit that, temperamentally, Romney is more relaxed than Obama. But Obama is being successful in putting Romney on the defensive. However, he remains on the defensive.

I see this debate as a litmus test on the Obama administration. Superficially, that looks good for Mitt, but in the long run it hurts him because no one really is learning what Romney stands for. Obama will win because of this. His tenure is being deconstructed, but not subverted.

No one is getting a sense of what Romney will do.

Off to sleep - if I can.

Benghazi moment - Obama called it an "Act of Terror" the day after.  Romney said 2 weeks later.  Candy corrected Romney. Can we be done with this one now?

Some of my favorite Bill Maher tweets:

"Halleluhia! Nurses and drywallers won't have to pay tax on their dividends!"

"Mitt has gone a subway stop past confident to Arrogant -"of course my numbers add up, i was in business" -businessmen don't ever lie!"

"Do i love women? Golly, my great grandfather married eight!"

Even Steve Schmidt says Romney stuck his chin out on Libya and got wacked.  Same with the 47%....

Fox calling it a draw - I guess that means they know Obama won. Surprised

Yep, some conservative commentator on Fox just said Obama won.

Just read this elsewhere (someone was talking about reading the below exchange on Facebook):

"[Republican, albeit moderate friend]: Hmmm...these questions sure seem to favor Obama.
[Comment from another friend]: So do the facts."

Oh shucks, I had to get my information the old fashioned way....by leaving my computer and going into the living room where three dogs jumped in my lap and two cats.

Once again today I purposely did not think about tonight's debate and just busied myself until it came on.  I take utmost pleasure in thinking I witnessed  ( just a few and they didn't last too long ) a few moments of panic in Mitty's eyes.  Pres. Obama did not take anything on the chin.....and I thought many times his slower presentation came across as someone who was not trying to shove it in your mouth and down your throat before you had a chance to taste it.

Now.....going back to my t.v. because I just feel better about everything.

Romney sounded breathy and naggy on all his comments.  He sounded like a small child trying to convince a grown up that he should stay up past his bed time.

'Binders Full Of Women' Connected To Romney Tax Plan

After Romney's "binders full of women" remark, the website bindersfullofwomen.org was created. Visiting that website will take you to www.romneytaxplan.com, a website launched today by the Democratic National Committee as an attack on Romney's lack of details on his tax plan.

Why can't journalists always do real time fact checking, like tonite?  Seems like such an obvious thing to do.

Andrew Sullivan sums it up on his blog:

To my mind, Obama dominated Romney tonight in every single way: in substance, manner, style, and personal appeal. He came back like a lethal, but restrained predator. He was able to defend his own record, think swiftly on his feet, and his Benghazi answer was superb. He behaved luke a president. He owned the presidency. And Romney? Well, he has no answers on the math question and was exposed. He was vulnerable on every social issue, especially immigration. And he had no real answer to the question of how he'd be different than George W Bush.

I'm excitable - but sometimes politics is about emotion as well as reason. And my view is that Obama halted Romney's momentum in its tracks and his performance will bring women voters in particular flooding back. He's just more persuasive. On watching with the sound off - apart from weird gaps in the CSPAN coverage - Obama did not grin like Biden; he smiled confidently, leaning forward. Within twenty minutes, Romney looked flush and a little schvitzy.

Game, set and match to Obama. He got it; he fought back; he gave us all more than ample reason to carry on the fight.
