Dancing with the Stars

Well I'm so tired I fell asleep half way through the show thank goodness for the "back" button I was able to pick up where I fell asleep, WOW for Derek & Shawn and loved Kelly & Val.
-
Shawn & Derek were my faves this week WOW and Bristol is my least fave (poor Mark).
LOL'd when Kelly put a shirt ON Val, usually they are ripping off the clothes.
Thanks but no thanks to Tony's pink shirt in honor of breast cancer.
Kirstie & Maks may not go much further but he's having fun, he was actually smiling, a lot.
-
The judges are so biased! Giving Kirstie all kinds of praise when anyone else who did that crazy stuff shaking their hair all around would have been blasted by Len.
I thought Brooke Burke looked great at first, but then noticed her silver belt hung too low and gave her an odd look. Loved her hair and the blue and silver, but that belt should have been higher on the waist and cinched in a bit.
How about Peta's racy Moulan Rouge outfit? That goofy Chelsea Hightower screws up even when given one of the best dancing celebrities. And what's the deal with Bristol? Mark Ballas always seems crazy about her. But maybe the Democratic party is paying him off to throw the competition. lol.
-
So double elimination tonight! Should be interesting!
-
I had a feeling that Drew would go next. And he did. My next guess is that Helio will be voted off this week too. Even tho I would have preferred Kirstie and Bristol gone.
-
I am MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I was disappointed to see Helio go.
-
My guess is the Republican party is gonna see to it that Bristol is there until at least election week. That way Sarah Palin will continue to sit in the audience. What a gig. It won't surprise me if Giles, Emmett and Sabrina exit before Bristol does.
I think the judges are paid handsomely to fix their votes.
-
.....but it's the voting audience keeping Bristol in, not the judges, she has always been in last place with them
-
If I were the Rep party, I would want to get them out of the audience. IMO it's the single biggest reason they lost the last election! Anyway, Bristol just doesn't have the talent to continue...and she's a spoiled little diva if you ask me. Too bad we are losing the good dancers in favor of some of the ones who have less talent.
-
I missed the first couple of seasons but it seemes to me that every one I've watched there has been at least one no talent star that stays on longer than they should and forces off better dancers. At least many of them have been amusing.
-
Another fun night! I totally and completely loved Shawn and Derek! What I especially love is that Shawn has really matured since she first won the mirror ball trophy. She's cute, sexy, athletic and feminine. It's not easy to pull ALL of those off together. Sometimes the women athletes have a hard time showing the sexy. Shawn brought it tonight. I'm very impressed.
I did love Giles' Bollywood dance too. He certainly has that 'Alladin' bod. Peta's hair looked like she had fish scales in it.
Cheryl Burke's dress/costume was beautiful.
The white flimsy shirt that Kelly Monaco wore was rather distracting. Not a fan of Apollo Ono's dance, but damn, he's good looking.
Sabrina's dance was fun. As much as I love Tony and Melissa, I thought their dance was predictable. Kirstie or Bristol are welcome to go home!
I like to wait until the morning to vote on Facebook.
-
Agree with all of the above. There is zero way either Bristol or Kirstie should outscore any of the remaining contestants (of course there was zero way they should be here now....)
-
I really do like Apollo---plus he is our "local star" ever since the Olympics. I've never been really impressed by Karina but I think part of the problem for Apollo this year is a lack of connection between them.
-
I am so MAD at myself I was voting online and I accidently hit a vote for Maks and Kirstie grrrrrr now I'm gonna phone vote now to make up for my horrid mistake. Loved Derek & Shawn and Giles & Peta and as an aside I would give anything to have Petas stomach wow she really is in shape
-
Did anyone actually SEE Karina slip and fall? It's not like we're looking at her anyway, so why the huge meltdown at the end? Love me some Apolo, but there were better dancers tonight.
Bristol - meh! Yeah, she did a good job; yeah, she stayed mostly in step, but she's just not in the same league as the other contestants. Mark sure had to do a lot of extra footwork to take the focus off her, I thought. She can go home any time.
I thought Cheryl looked gorgeous (except for when her long hair got stuck in her face), and Emmet was sexy, but not quite as smooooooothe and awesome as all the judges were gushing over him.
Gilles and Peta did an outstanding Bollywood number! I love that style of dance anyway, and I applaud Gilles for telling the choreographer to make the moves difficult so they could give it all they had. Peta's kind of a whiny little snit, isn't she!
For some reason I wasn't buying that "staying in character" act that Kelly and Valentin were putting on all night, moody face and all.... I told DH she was probably zoned on Vicodin for the broken toe!
Call the waaaaaambulance!!!
Kirstie and Maks were entertaining. But I thought she'd lost all her weight the last time on DWTS - guess not.
Melissa and Tony's number was fun and energetic, and I give her props for taking on Shawn with all the lifts.
I've never been a fan of Louis' for some reason - maybe it was because he seemed arrogant at first....but in the past few seasons he's grown on me. I thought his and Sabrina's disco moves were spot on! Ahhhh....brings back memories!!!
Shawn and Derek were incredible, as usual.... she has matured so much, and tonight's dance was very sexy! I think I'm pulling for her to win at this point...but there are MANY good dancers this season!
p.s. I saw Mick Jagger strutting across the stage on TV a few nights ago, performing with the Rolling Stones. All I could imagine, though, was Carson Kressly's imitation of him on DWTS!!!!
-
My fave couple this week was Gilles & Peta - fantastic Bollywood routine!
Also loved Shawn & Derek doing the mambo, and Emmitt & Cheryl doing the bolero.
LOL that Sabrina & Louis' disco took Len *and me* back to 'the day'.
Kelly & Val's contemporary dance was beautiful, great choreography.
Melissa & Tony's jitterbug was OK, didn't care for Apollo & Karina's hip hop.
Maks is still having fun and Kirstie looked very pretty. Bristol needs to go!!
-
Yeah, Kelly Monaco comes off as a bit...different.
What gets me is the judges will praise Kirstie for a mediocre dance. They'll praise Bristol even tho she plays it safe. Then when Sabrina pulls out all the stops with high entertainment and energy--(how in the world do those women dance up and down stairs in those high high heels without falling on their face?)--the judges chastize her and say she was out of sync with the music for two beats and will score her more harshly. Kirstie or Bristol could never ever give us a performance like Sabrina! Even if Sabrina doesn't go all the way in the competition, I would rather see her perform for many more weeks because we'll be so much more entertained and amazed watching her rather than Kirstie and Bristol.
I voted!
-
WOW to Derek and Shawn!! They will be hard to beat!
-
I loved Derek and Shawn!
-
wow someone was off key and I think it was Susan Boyle!
-
Yea, I didn't care for that duet one bit.
-
Glad with how it ended though!
-
Three Cheers!
-
Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!!
-
Kirsty and Max's dance was entertaining but I felt there wasn't enough dance content in the dance. Bristol seemed to be dancing flat footed compared to Mark's bounce. All of the rest of the dances were great and it is hard to guess who will actually win.
I was at an investment meeting last night and missed the results show but I just looked and saw that Bristol was voted off. I agree with all she didn't dance at the same calibur of the others. Her dance this week seemed flat to me and last week was uninspiring. I actually hi-jacked my husband's facebook account to vote for everyone but Bristol after I voted on facebook.
-
This photo shows how Bristol was flat footed, see how Mark has his toe pointed ready to step down and Bristol is going down flat footed.

Glad to see Bristol gone, although I do feel bad for Mark. He tried hard but his strengths couldn't make up for her deficits. Someone mentioned how he seemed to be so crazy about her. Think maybe it was an act to keep his job? Can't dis the 'star' (unless you're broody Maks).
-
Yay! They got it right this week. And hopefully next week Kirstie will go. Then we've really got a competition! One thing's for sure, they all have to bring their A+++ game, because one bad performance could mean curtains. Apollo was in the bottom 3 after Karina hijacked their dance with the fall to the floor and then big tears.
-
Good that Bristol is gone....from the way she was behaving during the rehearsals and such, it seemed that she had lost enthusiasm, and was hoping to be voted off. She got her wish. Onward and upward! I didn't see the actual elimination as I was watching the debates and kept wondering which show was rooted more in reality...I think it was DWTS!
