I'm catching up on pages and the thoughts are going so --I'll type as I read

Crog----so sorry for the loss of the leg--I don't want to make your life more stressful. But if you remember from the first day that we met here I asked if you had a lawyer. Your original complications should not have occurred. They lead to this unless there is stuff I don't know. Your present situation could be tied to those original errors. there is a statute of limitations and their is Point of notice. When did you become aware that your injuries /complications were due to care. You may not be the suing type----I'm not---so I understand , but the impact this will have on the rest of your life is untold. Get a good litagant. Oh Crog--shit----love you, wish you weren't going through this. Sucks.

Rider---all so what you are going through sucks.

Veggy also it all sucks. It may be the beginning of the backlash against Pink---Komen's group so seriously screwed up with the planned parenthood fiasco.

Wren -sorry for your niece's loss, I didn't do grief group therapy when DH died, I did individual counseling with the fella that had gone through CA with us. Retrospectively, I think I would have done better with both. Group would have got me together with people. The first 3 months I spent in bed staring at the walls. Then went back to individual counseling. But lack of people interaction will lead to depression . Not good. Give her a month no more and then get her into something.

Essa--why not a pic of Danny Boy----loved talking with you. Loved the pic anyway---your beautiful!-great joy in your face with that dog. The skunk may be sensing something wrong with Danny Boys rear end. Anal glands. Animals noses and ways of fixing things are different than ours.

Fuzzy--what they should have put you on std>ltd. Then encourage you to seek ssdi>>Apparently my company was superlative, all was shit, but they guided me through the whole disablity process. Even recommended a lawyer in Missouri who got me approved first time(I'm in fl.).-----It's hard to not be working . I started at 11. Now not working is shit. No focus , even if I could focus.

To all Nancy's focusing on family and work right now.

Anyone pissed about pink, lots of discussion and links on pinktober revoultion

WOW while on the puter I hear this song on the blues station tonite, that was playing in my head for 2 hours after  brain sx that reset my tinnitus-----Louis jordan, Caldonia 1946-----have no idea where I may have heard it. Checked internet for old films it may have been in, but came up with nothing. Youtube has it with Jordan singing and other hits that I didn't listen too. When it played for me, it was strictly music no singing. Tinnitus particularly irritable last few days. Don't know what it was right before hearing the song on cable. But everything is quiet --now. with tinnitus you learn to tune it out to a degree, otherwise you'd go insane. In fact people have committed suicide or murdered b/c they couldn't tune it out b/c it was so loud.-----But now I know where to go when it's bad---ahhhhhhhh

GG - Holy crap girl.  You took my breath away.  You have words like no other.  Thank you so much for that.  I know it wasn't easy for you.  And, you know this!  I will create and do things that matter - to people who want those things!  I love to be creative.  So much so that I have no ability to focus LOL.  Once I get through this "inner head trauma" ... I'll turn it out.  Hugs and Loves :)

Nancy - Thank you for posting.  It sounds like a tightly wound place for you right now.  I know the office and the road all too well.  70+ hours every week.  It's hard and I sure wish I could help you.  SKK and me...we talk.  Oh yes.  Well, i didn't tell him to fling his poo but I asked him to take care of you.  LOL  Or...maybe I did!  Sorry about that!  LOL  That must have been very moving to see your papa's place.  I can't find the words...what I want to say can only be expressed in a hug...

SAS - did I ever tell you how hard I was (and am) laughing at the Bumping Uglies??  HAHAHAHAAAA  I'm hoping this time I will get approved for short term dis.  Not holding my breath.  They asked for a 45 day extension to write my report.  45 days??  Shit - I could have the first draft of a novel done in that time.  45 days...WTH.  But, I will wait - only because I have no choice.  Good to have the SASSY back.  You are unique my dear.  Very missed when you are away.

Obama was in Madison yesterday...I had an appointment in Madison yesterday (went well...all good with rad onc).  The traffic was a nightmare.  Every 50 feet, there was an officer.  Now, the hospital is "close" to the capitol and the university but to have that many officers seemed a little excessive to me.  But, I guess if I was the president I might feel a little different.  LOL

I went to see my mama.  I'm very concerned for her right now.  She went down for a nap, her oxygen cord became disconnected from the unit...she woke up for no real reason and her feet were terribly cold (the rest of her was too - but her feet were the worst) and struggled for breath. She figured out to look at her cord and apparently got hooked up just in time - dizzy and almost unconcious.  OMG.  With everything that she has gone through...that would just be wrong.  I'm certain she will need to move back in with me at some point.  I'm scared for her.

Fuzzy- DUh Huge company if you had signed up for STD you have a right to be on it if you have gone beyond personal leave aquired. When I hired in with the new company I didn't sign up for STD, but for the first time signed up for LTD-----what a blessing.  So, there was lapse of 3 months for STD and then LTD kicked in.  I&DH screwed up on continuing his life insurance. Didn't follow directions, but our heads weren't screwed on to tight. Fiscally a really big screw up, but oh well. Fuzzy thanks that was a nice thought, better than being consider a pain in the ass.

Always listened to soundscapes while on puter. As I said last night listened to blues-----does it rock---swinging at the puter , typing in time with the beat------sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. After reading about Jordan last night , learned that the words--"rock and roll' were first applied in 1946 and his music was some of it.--coooolllll. HMM, swing,da,whoo hoo.

Gail--your words are good---for a short time there you wrote like me without glasses LOL

    Nancy hugs----it's all such shit

    Veggy----in your pocket

OMG they found a Cure for Stupid has really picked up --------dododo wah s swing

Gawd I have to find some place to dance

Freud would have a field day with my mind! I was once determined to be a firefighter and hung out with them a lot. At a party one night, there was a card game going on and I asked if they had "two dicks" to play with. After a loooong episode of laughing, they repeated what I said...over and over....what I meant to say was "two decks". That's my favorite slip of all time.

    Veggy, lol.

I am about three pages behind and was getting dizzy trying to read to catch up. I cheated and skipped ahead to today.

Fuzzy, you were thrown out of a breast cancer retreat? WTH, that sounds crazy, crazy wrong to me.

IK am checking in over here because I couldnt figure out where else to go. I haven't been aroundmuch because I started getting migraines every other day. I have had them since 14 and am 67 now. They usually would be every couple or few moionths apart. A move to every other day is huge for me. My original medication, which worked perfectly for more has stopped being manufactured and felt like a tragedy to me because if my migraine isn't stopped at the aura stage it progresses with many neurological symptoms. Large blind spot on left field of vision, speech deficit that progresses to me not knowing what words are! Seriously.

My Onc gave me a RX for sumatriptan 25 mg., like Imitrex. The pharmacy says I can only get 4 at a time. I can take two, two hours apart and no more than 200 mg.   So this would mean getting a refill every four days!  My husband called his companys insurance person and they came back with the Ins Co is following safety guidlines.     Now I tell you if I was going to hurt mysekf with medication by taking too much I have ever so many meds in the house that I could do that with. Also my previous migraine med. was a bitter, under the tongue pill that closed down your blood flow. I could have offed my self very easily with that, but did I? NO NO No. Now for my safety I need to go back to the pharmacy every four days. Its enough to give me a migrane.

Sorry, I needed those padded walls.

To make it worse this nee medicine works quite perfectly, with no after effects. It works more smoothly than my old fashioned med did and doesn't leave me with a stuffed woth cotton headache. I like it a lot. I don't like the crazy insurance company, how could I go on a trip. The Company Ins rep says this is not a drug they can do an override on either.

I love you all, feel better, laugh and hug those dogs and kitties.

    Ginger

Veggy - LOL!!! Super cute!!!  I'll call them wedgies from here on out!

Ginger - hey there!  Gosh...those migraines sound HORRIBLE!!  So, the drug rep says no...but have you called the billing center?  They have codes for EVERYTHING.  That seemed incredibly rediculous that you can't get a MONTH long script.  The pharmacy should have a customer service number that you could call - or maybe your nurse or pharmacy staff would do it for you.  It just so happens, my 20 year career was in this industry.  Keep on pushin'.  My youngest DD gets those too - she basically has to be isolated when they come on.  It's horrible to watch and be helpless to do anything.

So, today with the oldest DD home...we made breakfast, chocolate chip cookies with coconut oil, banana bread and now my DH is making is Tacos (OMG his tacos are amazing).  If that child stays home, I'm going to explode.  I made DH hot sauce by juicing the hot peppers that are in the garden.  HUGE MISTAKE!!  The air becomes filled with hot pepper fumes and you can't breath!  Me, DD and the puppy were gagging and choking.  Then my fingers started buring from the pepper juice.  DH likes the hot stuff you know.  Finally, I got it into a jar, added brown sugar and apple cider vinegar and it's done.  I hope he hates it because that ain't happening again!  LOL

sumatriptan 25 mg...here's the scoop...which I'm guessing is probably in your patient leaflet...but thought I'd throw it out there since I don't read those...

Overuse of acute migraine drugs (e.g., ergotamine, triptans, opioids, or a combination of drugs for 10 or more days per month) may lead to exacerbation of headache (medication overuse headache). Medication overuse headache may present as migraine-like daily headaches, or as a marked increase in frequency of migraine attacks. Detoxification of patients, including withdrawal of the overused drugs, and treatment of withdrawal symptoms (which often includes a transient worsening of headache) may be necessary. Migraine patients should be informed about the risks of medication overuse, and encouraged to record headache frequency and drug use. - Drugs.com

BTW...do you get cardivascular check ups regularly?

I dont know what a cardio vascular check up is?

I have never oversued my meds and this increasein frequency is not related to the new drug since I didnt have it yet. I also only had a couple of my old drug left. So no overuse ever.

I feel absolute pity for the people who are going to be told they cant get their meds for this reason.

I will be checking in with my Dr on Monday.    What we are currently doing is taking me off of Aromasin for a while to see if it is implicated in the increase.  It was the only drug change in the last year. Searching for a cause.

    Thanks so much. Hugs Ginger

Ginger - Oh dear...I hope it didn't sound like I thought you were overusing!  This is what the doctors/pharmacists are warned about...that it could affect the patient.  So sorry about that!!  I was reading it one way and I am sure it sounded like I'm an asshole.

This is why I asked if they were monitoring your heart function:

Serious cardiovascular events, some resulting in (edit: you kinow what), have been reported in association with the use of Sumatriptan injection or Sumatriptan tablets.

Again, I apologize.  You fully explained how you were not overusing the frist time and I would never accuse anyone of doing that - to each their own!  Oh I feel terrible about that!

So...how long have you been on that AI?  Your severe migraines really should be a great concern to the docs according to the warnings...I'm glad you're going to talk to them Monday.  Just curious...but are you having any other concerns?

Yeah..I was booted from that retreat and I just couldn't believe it.  But..my bad for not understanding the definition for Retreat/Cult.  There's some crazy bitches out there.  My husband was more mad than I was.  He couldn't believe they would boot me out at 7:30 at night with 8 hours to drive home.  Whew...he was about ready to knock out a few of 'em.

Nope Fuzzy I didn't even think you meant that!  I was just trying to be clear so you didn't misunderstand. There is a part of me that suspects the ins co will use such an excuse to limit rx though. I was reacting to that. The thought of not having a working rx for my migraine is horrific. Taking my meds late is a sure fire way to get terrible pain whereas if I take during the first auras I don't get the pain.   One time I had the pain and I laid in bed for 12 hours without moving one muscle, I was freezing and couldnt even pull up the sheet.   Migraine is a beast.

I don't seem to get migraine related sinus pain. Years ago when I smoked I got tons of sinus infections. Now they are rare.

I will talk with the Doc for sure about cario issues. I have been on Arimidex for about 6 mo+ and then aromasin for about a year+. My SE's on those have varied and aromasin has been easier on me except my knees hurt so bad.  I asm off the aromasin to see if the migraines quit.   Thanks for the info so much!   I couldnt read the insert beause I was migrainy and it causes lots of vision problems.

I get a dexa scan next tuesday as well as a sleep study that night becaiuseI have bed night terrors. My poor husband I dont know how he sleeps in the same room as me !

Nancy now I understand. I only went to the ER twice in over 50 years for migraine. The vomiting was so bad with the meds they gave me but the pain was gone. Screwdriver though the eye is my corallary to you axe.

    Hugs all GInger

I have been forced to drink a glass of wine (one that's about twice the size of a standard glass of wine).  One of my other personalities took over just a few minutes ago.  She's friendly...just like a good drink...at least she's not the "Vodka" one.  Eh?  Veggy?  Are your ears perked up?  LOL
