Greetings: My name is Paul, and I am the owner of ThisCrazyJacket. It has been brought to my attention that more information regarding who we are and who is associated with us, would be beneficial.

First, let me reassure you that we take what we do very seriously. And we value each and every person who visits us at http://thiscrazyjacket.com

I am the original buyer of the Armani Jacket. I was the fool who thought he got a good deal on an Armani Jacket and ended up being taken for a ride.

Originally a co-worker and I had some good laughs over The Jacket and we came up with this web site. We then contacted the American Breast Cancer Foundation and asked them to be the beneficiary of The Jacket. That is how it began.

Ringo came to us about a Month ago. He did indeed find us on the web site and sent us a long touching letter. He also offered his assistance to us with some web development skills. He is indeed now part of our team of volunteers. Ringo' girlfriend is why he joined us, donating his time to The Jacket. HE IS NOW affiliated with us. I am certain that you would agree, having known him in person, that he is a generous and good hearted person who is lost in what is happening in his life right now. Also, a bit young and naive.

I understand completely that the way the story came out, on the forum center could have been misleading. Please accept my apologies and know that it is NOT our intentions.

To give you a little background on the site: We make absolutely no profit off of shipping or hosting of the Jacket. We use the advertisements on the site to pay for the sites upkeep. What does that mean? Well, not very much at this point. The advertisements are "pay per click" which means we generate about .02 each time someone actually clicks on any advertising link. At the end of the month - well, it generates about $9.50. Considering the cost of buying space on a web server is $9.99/month - we are just about breaking even. Not to mention all of the time and effort we dump into the site via human resources.

Our site promotes goodness. We will not accept members of our staff putting our reputation at risk. It is for that reason, that I am coming here to make everytying clear and eliminate any confusion on the Forum area of BreastCancer.org. I will also be making sure that each member of our volunteer staff NOT post any further comments in any Forums such as BreastCancer.org, as well as addressing Ringo and his work with us.

We do hope we were able to address your concerns efficiently.

    Sincerely,

    On behalf of ThisCrazyJacket,

    Paul

Paul, thanks for explaining Ringo's association with This Crazy Jacket. (It was a little confusing whether he was or wasn't associated with This Crazy Jacket.) I'm so sorry that his girlfriend is fighting this battle with us, and hope he (and she!) can continue to seek encouragement and support from everyone here.

I really think this whole Crazy Jacket thing is an absolute and total hoot and I hope everyone who can join in does so. I'm personally going to take the jacket down to a niece's baby shower in Kentucky in June and we'll tally up the number of folks who wear the jacket (including my due-in-August grand-nephew!) and make a contribution for all of us over and above what This Crazy Jacket makes.

Thank you so much for doing this, and thank you, Ringo, for bringing this to our attention and for volunteering your time -- and for the care and concern you have for your girlfriend.
