Abigail,
I have been wanting to ask you what brand of juicer Gary Null recommends.
Is there any benefit to just throwing veggies in the blender?
-
Natty why don't you just ask Gary?
-
Yorkiemom,
Well let's just leave Abigail alone, whatever her condition. There is no benefit to anyone to hound someone because they were not diagnosed the way many of us were. Let's not set standards for others and try harder to support one another.
-
he uses blender stuff, I just sent for one on the reccomendation of diane essa perhaps, will be able to make good leek/potoatow soup at last. gary made ajuicer at one time, it's long long out of stock & was anyway very small it's saidd. gary says not to buy the expensive norwalk & the sother expensive one(?) the astrologer richard koepsess used a norwalk I think. it doesn't waste so much. koepsel. I have a jack la lanne here, inherited from bob, it's easy to clean, quiet, at the studio I have a kitchen aid, a bit more expensive, no booklet but a good brush & a container for the juice. it's stainless which gary reccommends, the lalanne got too long under the kitchen light a few years ago & melted a bit before I caught it in time

This may be a good time to remind all that if you aren't comfortable or disagree with a discussion, please refrain from reading and/or posting in that discussion. The ignore feature is also a wonderful way to keep blood from boiling and keep discussions peaceful.
Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation!

yes. again appreciate your input

Abigail, a breast cyst would certainly be a breast problem, but still not cancer.
-
I'll look into a new stainless blender. I also have melted several plastic appliances--or at least put dents in them--by putting them too close to gooseneck lamp. I didn't realize how hot the light bulb gets. I also didn't realize the appliances were plastic!
Stainless washes up easier too. Tho I had a stainless Vitamix but never used it since I couldn't get the nozzle clean. I'd think the designers would have noticed that.

My sister had a persistent problem with breast cysts. The doctor told her to avoid caffeine and they disappeared. Incredible. Neither my other sister nor I ever had any such problems. I sometimes wonder if breasts are a bit like the skin - some people develop problems due to sensitivities that are unique to them but that are not serious and might be tended to through a few sound recommendations from a medical doctor who is familiar with the patient's medical history and has ruled out serious causes.
There are many, many things that can cause disconfort or changes in the breast that are not cancer.
I'd still encourage you to glance through the stage IV forum Abigail, so that you can get a sense of the magnitude of what is being discussed. There's discomfort and then there is cancer, which is an entirely different universe.
Things with the body are not always what they seem - that's why one needs a doctor. External presentations of things can be deceiving.
-
Athena, throughout my life I've had several benign breast cysts that were drained when they showed up on mammos. After that all was fine. If I had left them in they would have grown and possibly caused me discomfort.

i
nflamed cyst. hardened cyst. discomfort: sometimes terrible fructic. .........the kitchen aid s a juicer. with a juicer you get intensified phyto chemicals with the solids taken out. I'm able to compost them at the studio & grow flowers & vegetable in the well composted result. afte the fire I had the tear-down people steal a container of that soil

pruritis. had to go back to garynull.com, articles, scroll down to the end & access older article "here" been calling it wrong, still a terrible word & troubled. also another word for inflamation ethrysis or something like that

It would be ok if the information posted was coherent, but I don't see that random posts about Gary Null are any help to anyone. I certainly have trouble discerning any valuable information here.
-
Isn't the purpose of having a "block" option to block people that you don't want to hear from? I agree with all the above comments, btw. I find Abigail to be quite humurous, though not in a way that she intends, I'm sure. I find some of her remarks to be insensitive and outright rude to those of us that have actually been diagnosed with BC. I'm also saddened that so much time and energy is being spent by someone either obviously so self-absorbed as to prattle on about a likely imagined illness while simoultaneously chastising those us with documented diagnosis' and related issues, or worse yet, someone amoral enough to find humor in yanking our collective chains.
I do know that I will be exercising my usage of the ignore button from this point forward for Abigail. I would suggest that those that have become weary of this battle of wits (or the lack thereof) do the same.
-
I regret that most of the peple who felt helped by my posts have gone elsewhere because of thes which I will from now on ignore: exbrnexgrl, athena1, susequ58, yorkimom, momine, kayfh, blue dalia, it'sjustme,momine,purple32
-
So, I will be ignored by abigail. She never was willing to consider why the idea of self dx bothered some of us. I tried my best to understand and sometimes defend her. But when it came to asking her to understand the position of others, well ,there was no willingness to consider that position. It only saddens me because it turned this thread into a bit of a sham when it comes to alt tx. I had actually been hoping to learn something. Instead it sometimes felt like I had fallen down the rabbit hole. Hope to find some truly some valuable alt info somewhere that will complement my conventional tx. C'est la vie. Caryn

My purpose in making the above comments was not to cause anyone to block all who have disagreed with Abigail, simply to suggest to those that don't want to hear what she has to say to block her. If that caused anyone to be blocked by Abigail (or anyone else), I apologize. That was not my intent.
Please let's get this thread back on point.

I am stage iv, with brain mets and very poor liver function. I have used conventional treatments and tried to include complementary treatments where possible. I am now reaching the stage where I am running out of conventional treatments and my only options will be alternative ones. Whether i was wrong in leaving it until this point is not something i want to discuss, or to be honest, even think about.
I started reading this thread because in the alternative forum it used to be the most comprehensive with lots of suggestions of useful things to try. It is certainly the thread with the most posts, Anyway it seemed like a really good starting point for my research. Over the last few weeks it seems to have become a place where only one person is really using the thread to 'share' her information, and most of that seems to come direct from Gary - which I could easily get from his website. ( can I add here that even though the Gary quotes all seem to come from one person I did notice on another website that we were described as being 'Gary groupies' how sad is that)
I really object to having BC belittled as my 'trouble' but that may just be an age thing - my granny would have said the same. I am amazed that the mods think its ok for her to say that people on this forum are at the 'NED stage or cured and not sick at all,' i think this shows a lack of empathy for women with bc that is beyond astonishing.
I also object to the fact that one person has managed to completely change the focus of the thread so it is all about her, her art, her studio, her psychic astrologer etc. I could put this person on ignore but that means that I lose the thread - oh well I suppose as the mods are unwilling to do anything about it this has already happened.
I may sound mean and grumpy but i really wish this person would go and find a forum for people with heroin addictions/tetanus/ lockjaw/Parkinson's/old age or maybe even breast cysts

Instead of complaining, maybe the posters can offer some good alternative ideas???
-
Too late, Natty. The focus of this thread was hijacked long ago. Maybe start a new thread??
Mary
-
If you ignore that many people you might not be left with much conversation...
-
This thread should be locked, imo. It has been totally hyjacked by ONE attention seeking individual who DOES NOT have breast cancer. How sad is that?
-
Alternative ideas for breast cancer or for something else?
-
Yorkiemom,
Would you like to discuss an aspect of alternative medine? What are you taking or doing that fits into the alternative category?
-
Ang,
What alternative supplements or therapies are you using for breast cancer? Please share and help us all.
Thanks so much.
-
Natty, in addition to my prescribed treatment I take many supplements to help ward off progression. I am open to options that complement my treatment. And I have researched information I've read here.
-
Natty-Please start a new thread. I think your questions will be better answered there by people that are interested in alternative treatments. This can continue to be the Abigail support thread and you can continue to do that if you so choose.
Mary

Yorkiemom,
What are your top five supplements? I'm on the edge of trying Metformin again. There have been about a dozen threads on around BCO it but I don't think it's been mentioned much here.
-
Mary,
Any member can post on any thread he or she wants. Since this is the alternative medicine thread on the alternative medicine forum, perhaps we can post about that subject rather than focusing on one member?
