thank you from deepest part of me.  i saw the onc today.  they are going after this. plan:  1. rads to kill the cancer in the T4 vertebrea.....(like surgery to get rid of the tumor)./..2.  zometa...3. aggressive chemo therapy to clear out any left over cancer cells.  i am very very optimistic.  bring it on.

i had 10 years.  actually 10 and half years.  i am ready to fight...totally in fight mode.  still cycling and doing my stuff. i don't feel sick nor do i have pain in the vertebra where the cancer set  up housekeeping.

sigh. i will be bald again.  oh well. when you live in the desert;;;bald is cooler. lol

my best to christy and annie,. yeah cancer sucks but it doesn't win.

    love love

Well said Pure.  My new onc does TM's and I'm so relieved (even before this happened), for me it's feels like extra security, even though I know it could be a false +or-.  I didn't think I wanted them until I got a dr who does them...if that makes sense.

Diana, Christy & Annie, I wanted to let you all know that I am thinking about you, every day. I always find myself not quite knowing what to say when someone progresses, and not wanting to say the wrong thing, often leaves me saying nothing at all. Based on the 160 posts in response, compared to the over 5,008 views, I am guessing there are 4,848 others from all over the world who just like me who can't find the right words to express their feelings, but who are thinking about you too ............... and sending positive thoughts your way!!!!!!!!

I also noted the number of views. Diane, Chrisy and Annie I am so sorry your breast cancer progressed. Breast cancer is a ferocious enemy that robs us of so much. Everyday, people ask me how I'm doing. I don't like to answer them. All I can say is today I'm doing well. The future is so uncertain.

I hope each of you knows we care about what happens to you and want to support you in the future.

I've been off board lately and am sorry to hear of this new development.  Sistahs be strong and fight the fight.  There is SO much new going on now and with all the fundraising and awareness I am hoping that you all will be here for a long, LONG time!  Pure said it beautifully and I'll be thinking and praying for you all as well.

    Love,

    Sharon

Thank you Pure and all the other responses.

The shock is beginning to fade, and, for the first time I've been sensing a little anger.  I think that's probably a good thing.  I've always used anger to fight and try to make things better.  It's a motivator for me.

My story is similiar to Diane's except we haven't talked chemo yet.  The bone biopsy is today so I'll get a new path report and see if the HER2 has changed.  Next Monday I go and talk to the rad onc and discuss radiating the leision on my pelvic bone.  As for the Femara, seems like my apetite has already decreased since I stopped the Tamox.  That's a good thing since I was gaining a couple of pounds every month or two.

This is my first look at the stage III forum for about a week.  I've been over on the stage IV finding lots of stories of hope and many years NED.  I have been so surprised at how many ladies have been doing quite well.

Plant a tree, ladies!  You'll be there to watch it grow!

Thank you all so very much. I was so touched when I saw Pure's post and all the good wishes.

I've started on Faslodex (an anti-hormonal) and counting on it working. It's an easy regimen with few mild SEs (so far anyway for me). I'll know in a few months if its working or I need to try something else.

Thanks again for your warm thoughts.

    Annie
