Ok who is going to watch Survivor with me?

hmmm. I thought Tarzan would make it to one more tribal. As for Chelsea? I don't like her and I don't trust her. I'm not sure who I'm "rooting for" at this point but I AM glad that for once (?) an all-girl alliance has gotten to the final. Is this the first time? I think it is? Kat looked pissed-off. lol. I gues she'll get over it in a week or two. And, who gave Tarzan the finger, and why? Not understanding that?
-
Mike flipped him off, after Tarzan admitted he was still there because he helped to take out the other guys. Not sure why Kat got teary about Tarzan wearing her panties on his head; maybe she thought she was being made fun of? Or did she think it was a dig at her being so blind-sided that she didn't take all her things to TC? Whatever, it seemed like a small thing to cry about. Those clothes were gone and she wasn't going to see them again, anyway.
It will be interesting to see how Tarzan gets treated at Ponderosa.
Alicia thinks she's in charge? Hahahahaha!
ETA: And yes, this is the first time the final five will all be women.
-
Ya know how sometimes at the re-cap, after the winner is announced, there are some new "best friends" from the season? Usually those either early out or close to the final 5/4/3? The "I love you" exchange on the boat between Chelsea and Kim was kind of weird. I don't see any of these women being/staying friends. And Kat will stay pissed off for a while. She is young and emotional. I see Kim taking it all as she has stayed level-headed and it seems all the women like her despite her playing so many of them. JMO...
Thanks, Riley, I guess I wasn't listening to every word said at tribal.

The "I love you" exchange on the boat between Chelsea and Kim was kind of weird.
Yeah, it kinda took me by surprise, too, as I hadn't gotten that vibe from either of them. Did it seem to be more Chelsea than Kim to you? I wondered if Kim was being calculating by saying it, too. But then I wondered if Chelsea was being the calculating one first, trying to guilt Kim into taking her to F3. Not that I think Chelsea could beat Kim at the end, but maybe she thinks she can.
My family always tells each other "I love you" when we say goodbye, and I have one friend who tells me "Love you." as it is something her family does so that there will be no regrets if it turns out to be the last time they talk to each other. I don't have a problem saying it to her, but I've known her 25 years. Kim and Chelsea have known each other a little more than a month, so it struck me as odd and I wonder if it was genuine or one or both of them just playing the game. -
Yay! A winner I can root for without reservations. Tarzan really surprised me with his comments, while I was hoping Troy had let go of his anger at being voted out. Apparently not. Troy came across as a bitter, whiny jackass. And Kat astonished me tonight with her maturity.
Colton? He mouths the "correct" things to say, but I don't believe a word of it, especially when he's still trying to make excuses instead of acknowledging what a horrible, mean person he was in the game. Alicia had the decency to be horrified by what she did and said, and tearfully, sincerely apologized, whereas Colton offered up that "classic" non-apology - the "I'm sorry if anyone was offended" BS. I hate when people do that; it's just another way of blaming the victim of his meanness for being offended in the first place. I felt sorry for Colton's mom at first when Jeff asked her to stand up in the audience, but that quickly faded as she made excuses for him and then said several times how proud of him she was.
I have a really bad feeling about who one of the returning players next season will be, but am delighted that Jonathan Penner may be back. And Big Russell! Not the troll, the soft-spoken man who got sick and passed out (hitting his head) during the challenge where blindfolded contestants roll a giant wicker ball through an obstacle course where the caller who is directing them is suspended inside the ball. And maybe the guy in Season Two (Australian Outback) who fell into the fire and got airlifted out - Mike? Sounds like it's going to be Survivor: Second Chances.
-
Still digesting all of it.....
I suppose Kim did deserve the vote out of all 3 women but I don't have to like the outcome.
Riley, I agree with your comments/thoughts about Colton.
He may never grow up enough to be a real man.
I think Tarzan is (was?) very underrated.
I am glad that Chelsea didn't get any votes.
As for next season, I think that the burned guy will be back and who ever else they showed (I will check back as I taped it) will, too. It was quite obvious if you think about it. I sure do hope it's more interesting than this last season. As much as Colton was a controversial person it sure did get a little less interesting when he (and when Tryozan) left the game.
I think this season will go down as one of the more boring ones. (JMO)
-
I think it was less boring than last season. And personally, I HATED this season UNTIL Colton was gone. If they bring him back next season, I'm out. I refuse to watch that miserable waste of air.
-
Jeff pointed out that Russell was a Survivor that people loved to hate and Colton was a Survivor that people just hated. When Jeff asked the audience whether Colton should be invited back, the audience was not enthusiastic. I think we may have seen the last of Colton. Pity his poor mom.
-
From your fingers to God's ears!
-
From the lack of posts here I'd say this season was a bust/waste. Onward.....
-
I think the problem with this season was the continuing failure of an attempt to make it fresh. They need to go back to the basics where there was none of this old/young - male/female set ups. Evidently next season the contestants will be losers who are invited back. Maybe that will be interesting.
-
I think the problem started (quite a few seasons back) when they quit showing us interactions with all of the castaways in favor of "pushing" a particular character or storyline. How seldom do they show any of the castaways in the opening credits? How long has it been since they showed all of them, every episode? There were just as many people, but we knew who they all were, at least. Last season's nearly invisible winner (Sophie) was the worst example of this pushing a storyline in favor of showing us what actually happened.
I blame Probst for increasingly inserting himself into the game, from casting to voiceovers. The "previouslies" voiceovers at the start of each episode are blatantly slanted pro or con against certain castaways. The "narration" at challenges are full of "so-and-so misses again!" "they're really slowing their tribe down!" and other things that will influence the tribe's opinion of that person, while ignoring blatant screwups by his favorites, not to mention calling out when a person has figured out a better way to do something, so the others can quickly copy it. He has increasingly stirred the pot at Tribal Councils to steer things the way he wants to go. And he has pushed obnoxious "characters" that HE thinks are entertaining, whether we do or not. Russell (and NaOnka, and Cochrane, and Coulton) aren't characters we love to hate; that's his "spin" to justify why America often disagrees with him over who is entertaining and who makes you want to put your foot through the TV screen.
Whew. Rant over, and it felt good.
-
What a great rant and it's absolutely true.
-
And Probst needs to quit fighting the aging process with his botoxed brow and dyed hair. He looks ridiculous at each year's finale when he shows up with his hair freshly done (an unnatural, matte blue-black with no highlights or low lights - it looks like he shampooed in shoe polish.)
OK, now I'm really done.
-
I just put a rince on my hair and now I look like Jeff. No botox though.
-
When does the next season start, anyone know?
-
I haven't heard.
-
-
Good grief, returning player and snakes!! I hope one of the three returning players is not Colton.
-
I heard it was Russell Swan, Johnathan Penner and Mike Skulpin.
-
Oh, I wouldn't mind those returnees. Could have been a heck of a lot worse.
-
OT but I just watched the new Big Brother and Russell's brother is one of the contestants, he got called out on it right away hmmmm he does look like him but did the Hantz thing and denied denied denied
-
His mannerisms are a dead give away!
-
All of the Hantzes can just go away, as far as I'm concerned.
-
Hi, It does look like it's Russell Swan, Johnathan Penner and Mike Skulpin according to cbs.
-
Good, those guys give me hope that this season might be interesting.
-
Hmm... there was also a stunt cast former child actress, whose name escapes me at the moment. Lisa Whelchel! That's it.
-
TV Guide network has been playing a one hour preview, interviews with the cast and crew, it's interesting.
-
Is it just me or is this show turning into one long bathing suit shot? I'm being polite here.
-
I'm not really sure what to say. Maybe they shouldn't have brought back anyone.
