When my dgtr was little I called her pumpkin---maybe I shouldn't have. -
Goodness Bernie..what happend that your face had a smashing time?
Love the pumpkin Cammy....One thing I miss about New England is the fall and crispness in the air..the smell of dry leaves and the taste of cider. Warm cozy nights in front of a roaring fire..sounds good. Oh and of course that was warmed spiked cider.
-
LOL Cami, thats cute! When I was waiting for my time to skydive, wuz talking to a lady that had jumped before me (she said she wouldn't do it again though, lol)..anyway, gotta share with you the story she told of when she lived in Italy for a couple of yrs (military DH). She had a mixed breed dog, and an Italian man asked her what breed it was. She was trying to explain the mixture her dog was, and the man looked baffled. Finally he said "Ahhh, BASTARDO". And she, naively, thought that was what that breed was called in Italian, so after that she started telling everyone her dog was a bastardo. It was a long time later till she realized he was calling her dog a bastard! LOL.
Cyn, your place looks awesome! Is that your long balcony then, on the right side? Looks huge! And what loverly pics of "your" beach....so peaceful. I am SO glad you found that place, and are all moved in now!!!!
YAY! Alli is finally getting to go home!!! Still prayers needed though, as they are still doing tests.

I' so glad Allison is coming home and I know still tests, but it's good she'll be home.
-
lmao Kathy....that bastardo story is funnneeee..there was a woman from Mexico I worked with at Usairways who said when she first moved here and people would say "thanks a lot" she didnt understand and thought they were saying "thanks slut"...she wondered why she wasnt liked much. That always cracked me up.
Orla, Oh lara, lara,O...I dont remember the rest..have a safe trip to Beantown manana.
Yes, Kathy..thats my long balcony one of the sliding doors is in my livinig room and the other in my dining room and where i put my desk for work. I have a great loft that would be awesome for work but there is no way in hell I could get my equipment up there and desk etc...the stairs are trecherous.....well, at lest they are drunk..I wouldnt recomend them in that condition. hehe I really like the big windows to look out of all day also...today its storming pretty bad so its somewhat entertaining to watch the rain fall and the sky. ..40 minutes left of work..then its...MILLER TIME...or NATTY Time!!
SoooooLine em up Tenders and Wenches!!

Good morning, Loungettes! Chilly 46 degrees here, heard the furnace kick in and it's set for 50 degrees. That time of year again. The leaves are starting to turn, should be a good foliage year, we've got the perfect conditions--warm days, cool nights, dry. Time to start getting the outside stuff brought in, I guess.

CynCyn--that apt looks great, and the view from the beach even greater! Is that a huge picture window I see on the end? Good for you!!!!!

BBBBernie--WHAT did you do to yourself now??????? What's with the nose and cheekbone??????

Cammy--if it makes you feel better, I keep a list on my desk that has bco names, and I try to note down real names, aliases, and notes about other important stuff next to it. It helps, but obviously doesn't keep me out of land of funcusion at times!

Wahine--gotta love when someone picks up a word or phrase and obviously doesn't know what it means! Giggle, giggle!

ORLA--whatcha doin' in Boston?
DorKable--There is something special about being at the beach, isn't there. That's where I head when I need renewal and calming, or just to get away from day to day stuff. Of course God reads these boards. Especially this one. Even God loves a good laugh now and again! And he knows that the dwunkliest stuff is all virtual and for fun. And you gotta love family stories like the one about the beets!
BBBBernie--sounds like a hard introduction! OUCH!

OUCH Bernie, you need a caretaker when you dwink, OR like others said, a helmet and faceguard!! Poor baby. Hope you are much bettah now! Yesterday I had been outside weeding, planting, and moved a large bench (metal sides). SO, when I was showering, I kept trying to scrub off the black that had gotten on my legs (I figured, from the bench)....well darn it, it was hurting! FINALLY I realized I had 3 wide, long bruises on my leg....thats why it wouldn't scrub off! Must have been from the skydive landing. I was on cloud nine and never noticed it then! Coming in for the landing, I couldn't raise my legs higher than straight out in front, and remember laffing as we came in cuz my butt was dragging across the ground!
Two people died in a small airplane at a small airport not far from here, yesterday....next to where we went on the kayak night trip. Sad.
Bernie, That castle is awesome! I *think* we drove past it, as it sounds familiar that our tour guide mentioned that it was on its own island. Or am I imagining that? Thanks for the pics, totally gorgeous!!
Dorkie, GWAD you iz back wid us, but can imagine how much you miss still being at the beach. Really happy you had a wonderful time!! IT is raining here today....glad it didn't rain on your parade (I mean your beach trip).
NM, Ha ha, Elephant Lips dwink! Love all the elephant pics. I like elephants, not only the symbol of the Republican Party (yup i said it!), but ALSO the symbol of ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE football team, which is now NUMBER ONE!!!! Yay, Roll Tide!!! In Thailand, we were on a tour where we had a chance to ride an elephant, on a hard surface. Had to climb up this tower thing to get on, and there was a seat. WELL, the guy on the back of MY elephant convinced me to get out of the seat while the elephant was walking, and get up on its HEAD, with nothing to hold onto. Yup, I did it! We did get pics, but no one else with me would do that! They didn't even get up on the elephant. They truly are awesome animals!!!
Speaking of animals, what a nice "eye candy" pic, Juliet!!! Think he may be an animal in.......(ok, get your minds outta de gutter!)
Special prayers going out for Sue (Mema) and for Alli (Mrs.Vino) today....
Hugs and Love!
Kathy
