And when we went away the whole famile went it was great. OK it's now time for my orange juice plus whatever.:)

Southern Tier Pumking (8.6% ABV)
All hail the king! This beer is what happens when you blend a pumpkin pie with a punk rock song. It's a gonzo blast of pumpkin-pie-in-a-glass, with classic pumpkin spices, a huge gush of sweet vanilla and a bit of booziness on the back end. There's a little hit of veggie funk in the middle as well, which adds a layer of earthiness and complexity that's pretty neat. I love big beers, and this is the first beer I think about when the weather turns cooler and the sweaters come out. It's the adult version of getting new shoes and school supplies.Pumpkin ale and beer so good Had some ok A lot last night.

Good Morning Ladies,
Another day another dollah....Hope everyone is having a good weekend..I know our Dorkie pie is partying it up with her girls at the shoah and Goldie with her fam up noahth...and Katwinka still basking in the after glow of her jump....I am up and running for work..they came nice and early and fixed me up..so now all is good. Moving does suck.
Orla....I've never heard of glow stones. Very pretty . Your shark vid tho...a bit scary..I love to get in the water here and I know there are things swimming in there with me....but hopefully nothing that resembles that..I have to hope that someone is watching for that.
Julie, did you say you were offered wine with your meals at the age of 10? Does that mean there is no drinking age at all in Europe or just the UK?? Is the beer warm over there??
NM..you working this weekend??
Hi Cammy..Chrissy, Shannon, Alli, Bernie and anyone I may have missed...love you guys..enjoy your weekends.

Good morning Loungettes! How is everyone this Saturday morning? I'm happy to have a day off, even if I do have a lot of documentation to do since I admitted a patient yesterday at the end of the day. Looking forward to the fog burning off. Loving the cool nights for sleeping.
Wahine--What is Red Soda? Hmm. Gonna have to google that one! Actually it's just soda colored red. I see it around in the stores here sometimes.

ORLA--Good for you for ditching the crazy PS! Get someone with some compassion AND skill! What a maroon!
Goldie--Great looking Mojito! Enjoy!
BBBBernie-- the Shillelagh looks like a pipe, but I thought it was a cane or walking stick. Shows you how much I know! AHA! I wasn't far from wrong! I can see where that would be quite the weapon.
Cammy--LOL at the cart in the Likker store. Especially since I was going to stop at the state likker store in New Hampshire on the way back from Boston training session. Unfortunately it's been rescheduled to the last week of September. I guess I'll just have to wait to stock up!

BBBBernie--codes get you in trouble every time!

Happy Birthday, Wahine!!!!

Well, back after an hour long power outage. Not sure what brought this one on, but glad my post got save in Word!
Cammy--4 am rambles are the most entertaining, so don't worry!

ORLA!!!! ROTFLMAO at dulcolax!

Well, I need to go get some housework done. The garbage under the sink is smelling pretty rank, needs to get OUT!
Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Happy Birthday!
1 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Raspberry Liqueur
1/4 oz Dark Creme de Cacao
1 oz MilkDirections
Add all ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker, shake, and pour into a martini glass. -
Ohhhh..wow ..I remember stopping in NH at the state store in Portsmouth. I would love a nice cool day...enjoy NM..
-
Ohhhhh what a wunnerful post, NM! So nice to have you back in the lounge!! And thanks for that yummy birthday dwink DOTD....you are sooo sweet!
Cyn, I remember that too...when DH would go on biddness to Bahston, (and I would tag along), we would really stock up on likker over the state line in NH. Soooo much cheaper! Glad our NM can stock up sooooon.
ORLA, yeah that guy pushing on the sharks head....uh uh.....tooooo scary for dis gal. Love the glow stones...really awesome.
Funny, all the dulcolax pics, etc.
ChEARS dears!

This was me, yesterday, up high in the sky. At first, from the ground, they can't even see the plane, as we go up so high. So can't see us after we jump till we get much closer to the ground. Can you tell it is me??? LOL.

-
Oh, and this is IMPORTANT. Some of you girls already know this, but for the others that may not have heard, wanted you to know that our dear Allison is in the hospital. Went in yesterday, and had to stay last night as well as tonight. HOPE they find out what is wrong, and it is nothing major. She is such a trooper and very upbeat, even with all the pain, etc. SO, I just wanted to let you all know, so everyone can be praying for her! She will have another important test tomorrow, and has an excellent doctor (although had a biyotch nurse yesterday!). And her DD is with her grandpa right now, so is being well taken care of! (((((Allison))))), now .......... GET WELL!!!!!!!
Love, Kathy

La,la,la,la,la,la,la (had to write something, cuz I took down the pic of me before my jump)!

U know how some days u feel better than other days--well I wasn't to good today I went so I could take my grandson so I had a hard time walkin so as I leaving of course my family really saw it then well about 7 of them try ro help me one ets knocked down the other gets pushed into the wall, well we all started laughing so hard no one could help me I was better than them, Finally 3 of the many cousins came to my aid and they started laughing I didn't have my shoes on and it was all gravel I started screaming my shoes their lookin all over finally Nicky found them put them on my feet and neigbors were out and they're of course saying I never could hold my liquor and that exactly what it looked like for all of us. And he has lymphoma (the bad stuff) He's on the ground trying to et my swollen feet in my shoes--he's lauhing so hard so I had to share my night with u as my BIL said when we all finally got me in the car u'r family is still crazy and my sister said well of course. So it was good LOL I hope u all had a ood night. And again Allison feel good.

Good Morning.....that doggie resembles Bernies Calva..maybe its he coloring.
Cammy...you had quite a day yesterday...sounds despite the shoe problem like a good day.
Everyone is so busy this weekend...of course I have to work but that is normal and gives me more time in the lounge but the lounge is empty ...sighhhhhh.....
Well, everyone have a happy Sunday Funday -
Morning Cyn....you still here? I neeedz ta ketchup wid ya....whatcha dwinkin? Natty's dis eurly??? How's da beach?? I tink I will have the Tenders make some amazin Irish Coffee..... Slainte!
Cami, OMG what a day/night you had! Funny though when everyone broke down laffing and couldn't even help ya. Hope you don't have a hangover toodey. Cyndie's right...that dog pic does resemble Calva (prolly why I thought of IRISH Coffee!).
Hiya Chrissy! Awwwwww, you cud do it too, but of course, you'd have to want to! I was so surprised that even when dangling out of the open door of the plane, soooooo high up there, above the clouds....I wasn't scared at all. Just very happy. I did have a very personal, spiritual thing happen on our drive to the town that the small airport was in, and then I knew that my late DH was with me, so that made it even more awesome. I was just smiling and laffing the entire time, I was so happy. Esp couldn't stop laffing when we landed. Yup, I would do it again! Only thing missing was some bubbly when we landed (like we had after hot air ballooning). Should have brought some! How are things down under? My cuz said she was soooo happy that spring had arrived, as the summer in Sydney was horridly hot this year. Hope its nice where you are! Do you get to the beach much, in Adelaide (or near Adelaide)?
OK, Hope everyone is doing well this weekend, MOST ESPECIALLY, Allison! Hoping the test goes well, we're all thinking of you, Alli. ((((ALLISON)))))... Can u feel a group hug from us all??
Dorkie, Can't wait to hear about your "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" weekend! And Lori, Hope you're having a wunnerful visit with your mom and brothers! Bet your DH misses you terribly, though.
Sue, Unde, Orla, NM, Juliet, and all de lubberly ladies of de HTL....have a FunDey SunDey!!!!

Good morning, Loungettes! I had a lovely sleep in this morning, much later than I usually sleep in. Such nice sleeping weather we've got here now. I love this time of year!
CynCyn--that's the store! Love an excuse to stop there!

Wahine--It's funny, I grew up on the Atlantic coast, and never saw sharks as particularly dangerous. Not so many big ones around here, and if a fisherman fell overboard he's die of hypothermia long before he became shark food. Now, seeing all those shark shows on TV I have to stop and wonder, which kind of death at sea is better, hypothermia and drowning or shark attack? I think I'll take the hypothermia, myself!FYI--in the Gulf of Maine the water temp rarely gets above 50 degrees F (that's about 10 degrees C). In summer that gives about 3 hours survival time in the water. In the winter the water temp is often as low as 40 F/4 C, and the survival window is only about an hour. Unfortunately, the nearest Coast Guard Search and Rescue assests often need an hour to get to the location of the mayday, then it takes time to search. My high school classs lost more class mates to fishing accidents than car crashes.
ORLA--yes, Immodium is an important resident of our medicine cabinets!

Wahine--If I ever did that I would need imodium before, during and after!!!! My mother did this when she was 70, and has a video of it. She loved it!
Good morning, Lord, it's me again. Can I talk to you for a minute? Yes, I know that's a foolish question, but it seemed polite to ask. I'd like to talk to you about Mrs. Vino. She's in the hospital, and I would like to ask You to be with her, to be with her docs and nurses, and to fix whatever is wrong quickliest. {Yes, I do believe God eavesdrops on our Lounge talk and understands Loungeese!} Please take away any pain, please send her back to us in good shape and ready to enjoy her darling granddaughter. Thanks, Lord!

Cammy--I can just picture your family escapade! Like something out of a Three Stooges movie. Who cares what anyone watching thinks, let them have their fun in their own minds making up stories to go with the action!
Wahine--no bubbly when you got back? What kind of life-threatening fun was that?????
Speaking of bubbly--I took my last arimidex pill yesterday. I'm officially done with treatment. No more Med Onc appointments, time to wean off the gabapentin, definitely got a "what now?" kind of feeling going on. I've got a "God wants You to Know" ap on my fracebook page, today it talks about every ending also being a new beginning. I'm going to focus on that aspect and see where life takes me now. But I still feel just a little bit of "what now?" way down deep inside. . .
Well, on thing that is beginning now is the lovely Sunday Brunch laid out by the tenders and wenches. I'm hungry!
Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Get Well Mrs. Vino
1 splash Champagne
1/2 glass Lager
1 oz Pineapple JuiceDirections
Half-fill a beer pilsner with lager. Add pineapple juice, and gently top with champagne. -
NM, Neat that your mom went sky-diving at 70....awesome! I took my mom para-sailing for her 80th (lame compared to skydiving), and I think she would have gone skydiving with me at 90, but my Dad wanted to go back to OZ. Now, at 92, I don't think she would care about doing that. They are still all covered up with the tons of stuff that the movers delivered. Oops, but did you know our Alli is just 39.....the DD is her 10 yr old daughter...not a grandma YET...lol. I know, hard to keep up with everyone, and I shirley can't do it either! Love your prayer, you always think of the best things to say. Glad you're through with treatment! YAY!!! Time to celebrate!!!
OK, I'm gonna take my pic down that I posted last night. Really don't like my pics on a public forum, so hope anyone that wanted to see it, already did. I'll leave up the one that is waaaaaaaay high in the sky!
Thanks NM for that wunnerful buffet pic you posted....gonna dig in wid ya! And such a nice Get Well DOTD for Allison!
-
Yummy....Im in on that buffet!!!! And another Irish coffee too...
Yep thats the store NM....passed it many many times on my way back and forth. The water up there is fridgid...remembering times at OOB and how we would swim in that water however, I think instead of really getting used to it we were just numb. I really do want to get up there again soon...its been way too long and I miss it a lot. NM.....Congrats on the end of treatment for you ..thats wonderful...and whats next??? Just love living life to the fullest.
Back to work.
Love ya's
-
Good later morning, Loungettes! Getting some stuff done around the house, just taking a break right now to catch my breath.
Wahine--Ooops, with so many ladies here talking about their grandbabies I got funcused. As usual. Hopefully Alli will forgive me! You see, I have no idea how old anyone here is, even when they've said. I guess I've got to start keeping a score care!
CynCyn--even though the sewing room isn't completely cleaned out yet I have bought myself a new, heavy duty sewing machine for myself. When it gets here I will have lots of motivation to finish cleaning it out and setting up so I can start sewing again! I used to sew all the time, and loved it. That went by the boards when I was diagnosed, now it's time to reclaim that part of my life from the beast. Yeah me! I used to swim in the ocean, still will on occasion. I do think it's more getting numb than getting used to it.
-
I did NOT realize your water was so cold up there! Yikes, I would need a wet suit!!! Love that you don't have those snakes in your lakes and rivers though, NM. Really scares me, here. And heck we ALL get funcused, too hard to keep up wid everyone! Don't worry about trying to keep up, we'll let ya know when its a faux pas. I make TONS of them, meeeself. GLAD you will get back to sewing! I have a hard time finding time for that too, but do enjoy it. I think I will go outside and weed the front flower bed...looks awful. Might plant some knock-out roses and yellow mums I bought, too. Supposed to start raining this afternoon, then heavy rain tomorrow.
Take care!!! -
Boring boring boring.....guess I should watch out what I ask for....I just hate days that are non eventfull at work..makes for a long day...I got to playing and thought I would put up a pic or two..this is my new house at the beach...my apt is on the right side upstairs.
I walked to the beach last night ...
