Ginger...good idea!
LoveEssa - Holy crap!! I can't even imagine!! Gosh, everytime she calls I think my heart could stop!! Geez!! But, I'm guessing she's learned how to tuck and roll! LOL I'd like to rub her hand folr a little good luck.
Veggy - NICE!!! I knew you wouldn't let me down! Thanks darlin'. You are the bomb. If you need me, I am here for you...not sure if it will help but I'm not ok either... and like Simply said...that's ok! I loved that. Yup...we friggin get it.
Simply - OMG I LOVE THAT PIC!
Dunes...fingers crossed for you sweetie. Financial shit sucks ass.
Granny -
this smiley looks like he has tape over his mouth or something...LOL
GG - giving you my love sister! I wish I could upload a picture of my baby puppy right now for you. He's in the chair across from me and he has his little head on the pillow - he's sleeping. His little paws are all tucked in under him and his fluffy tail is curled around the front of him and under his chin. Just the sweetest thing. And, oh I can't imagine how beautiful you would describe this...
So I bought some "calming" tea today. Yeah. Unless it's laced with sedatives, I seriously don't think it will do anything. Luckily I like tea anyway.
Did I miss Nancy somewhere? Where you at lady? Lauren - are you busy busy at work? Sas...what ya doin'? Teresa...ring ring?
I'm actually on the PC so I can read and go back and hit any damn button I want without screwing up everything I write....LOL and I can post pictures...hee hee...it's a guilty pleasure. I saw the youngest today - she's not feeling too good but I got her some yummy soup, vitamins and a few other healthy items. She's at her dorm resting now.
So...every single time I try to lay down to sleep I feel like shit. I get weirdly warm (not a hot flash, more like mild fever) and just an all over crappy feeling. Does this happen to anyone else? It just sucks. I think maybe it's attached to anxiety...not sure.

To all:
-
I bought a new bra today. I've been telling myself for months that I could have a new bra when this was all over. Well, it is as all over as it is going to get, so I used part of a Walmart gift certificate (from Christmas) to buy one. It's a Danskin, and I think I like it. If not, it can just go back. I did try the Genie bra but did not care for it.
I didn't take any pain medicine today, and I made myself stay up this late. Last night I went to bed really early and stayed there until this morning. I do believe I am bored.
I hung up on RNC people twice today. Yippeee!
I put in an online application to work at Walmart. The money thing is making me nervous.
I sure hope we all sleep well tonight.
-
Good for you Dunes!!
Its so strange because I was just feeling really crappy about my TE and how this has just gone on forever...but you just reminded me that I will get to reconstruction at some point...thank you...and I'm hoping to never wear a damn bra again. (Wishful and delirious thinking...I know...) LOL -
The antibiotics must be out of my system by now. The left breast is turning a wild shade of purple and oozing. I called the PS's office yesterday and he's on vacation. I don't want to lose what I have tried so hard to acheive. I have treid everything to save it and gone through so much pain. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Its the radiated, cancerous side. I'm so upset. I just want to be left alone. I want to crawl into a hole and stay put.

Veggy i'm so sorry hon sounds like you are going thru hell with this whole thing. Have nothing more to offer you but (((((hugs)))) and hopes it works out
-
Stopped in to read quick, going to breakie w Hubby. DD is still good, bruised on front of thighs where she came out from under steering wheel. Car rolled 3 x, she told me all yesterday. Thanks for caring - and Veggy, hugs for you too.... to come say I am not okay is one of the greatest gifts we receive from our friends.

((((Veggy))))
Cindy -
veggy, call the ps service. they have to have someone backing him up. sounds like it needs to be seen asap. luck and hugs.
-
veggy - oh man, hugs to you!
essa - wow, so glad your DD is OK! Mine had a highway-speed wreck in '08, glad I saw her before I saw the car, I would never have believed she was not seriously hurt! The other person in the accident sued her and served her with the court summons the night I came home from BMX - he was such a jerk. It was like a movie - she went to the door and the guy said "you've been served..." Fortunately the lawsuit was dropped and he accepted the insurance payment. I was all set to go to court in a wheelchair with my bald chemo head, looking like death warmed over, and see who the jury felt worse for, lol!
Had a scary moment this week. I flew back from Washington D.C. from my vaccine trial on Wed. night. Woke up Thurs. morning and my eyeball was bloody from the colored part of my eye all the way back toward my temple and I had a bad headache. You can imagine where my mind went... I had a port flush appt. that afternoon and they took a look - said it is a sub-conjunctival hemorrhage caused by the cabin pressure in the plane. Hope that is the case, right?
-
Veggy...damn it. It ain't over yet! Is it oozing colors? What's the next step? Get your butt to the hospital!
Special...my DD's were in a wreck that totalled both vehicles...my youngest called me first and I was there in 10 minutes. Her story included damage to her face and the crazy bitch in the other car verbally attacking my babies...big mistake as the accident was clearly her fault. So, I checked out the kids and proceeded to put her in check. Her husband...lucky for her...decided I would probably kick her ass and give her something to think about for decades put her away and thought it would be best for him to discuss this with me. Good move because I was pissed!! They never once asked the kids if they were ok, I'm certain They were drunk and or stoned, and she tried to accuse my girls of the fault. Oh honey, it was game on. LOL. Its such a great feeling to be the one my girls look at for comfort, a fix, answers and help. They knew I would give it what I've got. Since the oldest was only 18, you have to MAKE SURE the po-po state that she was not at fault in the report...had to fight for that too...which was very irritating but the cops don't care how long her insurance would be whacked...but mama does! I'd still like to smack that woman....several times. -
Special check in with vaccine people. Any change of condition during the trial should be reported.
Dx is right---origin needs verification not a guess. Who gave you the dx? Google Dx and changes in cabin preesure airplanes. Did they do any labs? sassy Subconjunctival hemmorrahagecan occur spontaneousley, from trauma, not heard of air pressure changes--but that doesn't mean anything ---ask the all knowing puter
-
Special....hows your INR? Any bruising in other places?
-
It oozed some yellowish pus at first and lightly bleeds but not all the time. It looks like I have a white sore. I know I have to call the PS. Thanks everyone.
Edit - I just called his answering service and they are going to page him right away.
Second edit - The service called back and I am back on an antibiotic again and do the warm compresses and keep it dry. I have to call the office on Monday. My PS is on vacation. I can't stop crying.
-
My Dearest VEGGY, I am so sad that you are having such horrifying troubles with your cancer situation. Why do these scary things happen? Well, SOME doctor will know what to do when you visit him this week, it doesn't have to be your regular doc.
And so I included the picture because every time we are faced with stuff that is so hard, we can just put our minds at ease by thinking how life always gives us a new road to travel, over a bridge to some special place, where all our dreams really do come true. Let peace, hope, and love be our everlasting companions, helping us along as we go to the greener pastures of a perfect future we might design. May all our sisters find solace and joy in the simple beauty around us, even in the face of danger. GG
-
Veggy...I had a surgical "sore" once that turned white....OMG it was weird looking. But, turns out my skin was "creating" skin....it was a little bloody and clearish goo. Very strange stuff. So glad you called...so sad when you're so sad. Youre on my mind today....wanna go get into trouble with me?
-
veggy, thanks for calling your ps. we shouldn't have to worry just because it the weekend.
-
and he is on vacation....... *_*
soft hugs, Veggy, soon all will be beautiful.
GG love the picture.
Special K, the eye thing must have been gruesome, did it go down? settle at all?
Fuzzy, I admire your fierce protective spirit. Once when my two daughters were on way home from Chicago, where they were not supposed to be, and it was very icy, so they should have stayed there at uncle's, they did a number. They come in and oldest, 18 was laughing, Mama, I got on the ramp and the car spun around two times. Seriously. I said, I am 40 and never in my life have I spun a car. She stopped laughing. I didn't tell her what I had done with a car. Like when 23 ramming down the highway at 95 mph in my Rally Sport Camaro, omg, who has the nine lives here, me I think.
Cannot not tell this one. I was having repeated dreams of a white semi tractor trailer coming at our vehicle. Always woke up. One day Hubby was driving. We were rounding a curve when there it was. Passing another semi. The other semi was almost off road to make room, the one paassing was in middle. I am going OMG, OMG OMG, dear GOD. Hubby simply slows down and takes the side of the road. I actually called DD bcz we are that tight in the brain, she would have felt my distress, she had, I told her we were all right, she was just going to call me.
Now the punch line. Hubby is the worst driver, I am always on him, making me the biggest beech in the county........ wake up, don't gawk, get in our lane, slow down, turtle, chipmunk, squirrel, child, jogger, use your signal, stop at the stop sign and not across the street, turn on the wipers, I swear he is there to push my buttons. If stress will kill me, riding with him is it.
Sooooooooo I often said to him that he does not react, danger comes at us and he just does nothing when I would have done what was needed, he is oblivious.
What does he say after he saved our lives with the semi?
He says, I reacted.
I laughed.
Now he says that a lot.

sas - will report the eye thing to the vaccine peeps - had planned on it. I don't think it is related, but you are correct they do have to know.
essa - yes, the eye looks better today. The doc said it will go through stages like a bruise does, changing color before it resolves.
fuzzy - DD's accident was contributory fault. The guy stopped in a moving lane of traffic on the interstate at rush hour to respond to an already existing accident. He is an insurance adjustor and was coming to look at a semi-truck that was involved in an earlier accident. He didn't pull off the road, he just stopped next to the truck and she braked but struck him from behind. She was the only one cited because the FL highway patrol was behind the semi and didn't see the accident. I was present on the scene when he told the other driver he would have been cited if he had witnessed it. Other drivers had told the cop what happened, and you could see the debris trail. I made sure we took lots of pictures. I am pretty sure that is why the guy didn't really want to go to court. Poor DD though - bad week for her - her mother has a BMX, she breaks up with longtime boyfriend for good, and gets sued! Good thing she is tough!
-
Fuzzy - I would love to get into trouble. DH took me shopping and I picked up my antibiotics. Then we went to McDonald's for a cholocate dipped ice cream cone. My guys are getting things ready for tacos. I put them to work. My eyes are heavy from crying. Thanks eveyone for the gentle hugs.

Love and Hugs veggy!

Love YOU Nancy!! You can talk sweetie. Its ok....you can call too. Don't be sad alone. That's sucks. Seriously, I'll keep my phone right next to me if you'd like to chat.
Essa Love, oh you made me laugh laugh laugh!!! Did you hear it?? I bet my neighbors did!!!
Special...that cop story did not shock me. That whole system is a disaster (much of it anyway). Your DD must have nerves of steel. That's a lot to happen in such a short time.
Veggy...can we start out at my house? I've got a beef with the people across the street so I'm thinking we could sneak out tonight all ninja like...and tear up their landscaping...childish, yes...but I can feel guilty about that some other time. Then we can go out for a few cocktails and harass the locals... -
(((((Nancy)))))
