Move over, all of you......here I am!  Mission accomplised.    Sorry about the report delay...had a very busy day yesterday  & then could not sleep last night so slept late this morning.

Had my last treatment, met with oncologist (long wait) then on to Ladies Club for bid Euchre and everyone toasted me with wine or coffee.  Home to be met by my 89 & 86 yr old neighbours with a huge bouquet of flowers.....Then friends over & we made our own pizzas, drank more wine....  I have had such good support from friends, neighbours and all of you on here....

I will always check in...the journey isn't over...just a part of it.  Smile

I met with my MO this afternoon, and he agreed to my request of 2 years Tamoxifen followed by 3 years of Aromasin.  According to him, that's the standard in europe, and I'm young enough to get the Tamoxifen.  (At 56, it's been awhile since anyone thought of me as young!)  He told me that the Tamoxifen will help me with bone density and that will carry over to my time on the AI.  I'm hoping for minimal SEs.  I wish all of us minimal SEs.  Here's to the next (and final) phase of our treatment.

TAB:  Interesting..... I am on a 5 year Arimidex routine.  We are the same age (at least for a few days--I will be 57 on Sunday).

Off to Chicago tomorrow for my son's wedding.  I am so excited!

Isabelle:  Congrats!  So glad you came on!

Karen:  We are the same age.  I'll be 57 in November.  It was my idea to go on Tamoxifen first, because of this information.  My MO was going to put me on Arimidex like you, but when I told him what I wanted to do, he was definitely OK with it.  Only time will tell if it's the right decision for me.  And, if it isn't, I can always change.

Safe travels to you.  I was just packing for a few days in Savannah.  It's for an STEM education award that my volunteer group is up for, but it will also be a fun girls getaway weekend.  I'm an engineer, so it's always a treat for me to spend time with other women.

Yesterday was my birthday so I decided to wait until today to start taking my first Arimidex.  At least I will be able to easily keep track of when my five years are over.

I turned 58 so I am a year older than Karen and TAB55.  Birthdays have a new meaning for me from now on.  I plan to have many more of them.

Karen - Have an absolutely great time at your son's wedding.  My son is a groomsman in a wedding this weekend.  We are invited as we are friends with the groom's parents.  I'll have a drink (or two) and do a happy dance for all of my breast cancer sisters from BCO.

Just checking in to say Hi!

    Happy Birthday Babette!

Kj....I'm glad you had a wonderful time.  The pics are great.

Isabelle....Yeah your done & your pretty as your picture!

Yeah is in order as it looks like we are all done!

Everyone good luck with the anti-hormonals...I hope you all have no or minimal SE's.   They won't give them to me too much heart/clot risk.  I'm on my own now.  Just told to take 2,000 IU of vitamin D a day & have my mammo's every 6 months.

Hello Julz, so nice to hear from you,  the first person to ever mail me on here....As you know I have finished rads...so much pain right now...supposed to peak in 7 to 10 days, sure hope it is the 7.which woud be tomorrow. Took a 400 cc Advil an hour ago ...think I might live on them for awhile...blistering & itching...would never have believe one little boob could cause so much trouble.

Sincerly hope that you and your boys are doing well..Please keep in touch.   We travel through PA on our way to Florida...leaving Ont. Nov. 3.

    Hugs to you,

    Isabelle

Isabelle....such a sweetie! I sure hope the pain goes away sooner!!!  I am about a month out now.  The redness is all gone, just some brown under the breast & occasional itching.  All the dark color peeled off along with a few tiny moles that turned black on the nipple.  I am having more pain/aches that I had from the node surgery.  They were about gone but are starting up again.  I am sure all that has to do with my job.  I have had a lot of 1 on 1 duty with fall risk patients lately & have to push them around in a recliner for 5 to 8 hours of my shift. A lot of pulling them back into the recliner to keep them from flipping themselves out of the recliners.  My left under arm & back of my upper arm gets more numb sore heavy feeling.  Getting my energy back.  Just wish I could sleep better, 4 or 5 hours is all I can get for a few days in a row.  Then I crash.

My boys are ok...everyone is on the mend as we have been in & out of the Dr's the last few weeks with Strep & viral gunk.  As for your Trip!  If you happen to take Route 15 through PA let me know maybe we can meet up!  That would be wonderful!  I have met 6 ladies from these boards over the years!  That would be such fun!  November is so pretty with the leaves although you will see better south of PA as we are just past peak for the best leaf color when you start your trip!  Keep me posted!  A trip is just what the Dr. should order & pay for (wink wink) for us ALL!

Karen: the wedding photos are great, and you look terrific!  Congrats!

Isabelle: So sorry to hear that you're still having pain.  I'm one of the lucky ones.  No pain for me, and the tan is fading away.

I've been on Tamoxifen for 3 days now, and no SE for me so far...  Hope it lasts.

Ok I haven't been on for a little while finished treatment in August and hope everyone is doing well. I have a question for all, I have been looking for breast cancer car magnets EVERYWHERE and am getting really frustrated because I can't find a single one, well I take that back found one at Bed, Bath and Beyond but the magnet didn't work. Does anyone know of stores that carry these items or do you have to order online?

Jag, you can find them online at amazon.  Just type in 'breast cancer magnet' and a bunch of magnets and decals will come up.
