Okay, what is everyone doing the last weekend in January? would that work to get together????
Sweaty, new job sounds like you're surviving.
Cookie- how's things in your newer neck of the woods?
-
28th is not bad for me. February gets tougher.
-
I am relieved to report that my pathology report says .... (drumroll)....benign!
Tamoxifen has NOT given me endometrial cancer, at least not yet!
Can't do last wknd January...sorry.
-
Anyone interested in going to see the Manhattan Theatre Club's new production of Wit on Broadway? It's directed by Lynne Meadow (MTCs artistic director) and stars Cynthia Nixon (from Sex in the City, among other things) - both of whom are bc survivors.
It's about a college professor dealing with the final stages of ovarian cancer. I saw the movie years ago and found it very powerful, I'm sure I'll have a different reaction now. Anyway, it's just started previews and I'm interested in seeing it at some point - just not sure I want to go alone.
It's also 'Broadway week' now, so 2 for 1 tix may be available.
Anyone interested?

I would...I saw the original actually....I noticed it was up twice at TKTS.
My schedule is pretty limited though, this weekend is out.
-
I want to go too! Unfortunately I can't get there in time! Miss you all and hope everyone has a healthy and happy New Year!
I will be back in September maybe we can get together then.

Weekend after next (I guess that would be first weekend in Feb)?
-
that weekend works for me...it's the last weekend I will be around for a little while...
-

-
Haven't done PT, so no idea - sorry.
Cookie - since it seems no one else is interested, I'll send you a txt - hopefully your cell is the same. If you don't receive anything, send me a PM.
Updated to add - I sent you something yesterday.
-
I did PT with Finish Line Therapy on 23rd and 6th Ave. Great team! Was very happy there. Ask for Michael.

Hi VVH: Welcome to our group! Have you been to You Can Thrive? They have really great nutritionists and other complimentary services.
Just call them and talk to Luana. She is the founder and also a survivor.

Hi dear NYC sistahs
have a friend visiting NYC for 3 nights in Nov. Can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced hotel ? It doesn't have to be in Manhattan itself, but close enough to be able to get there by bus or train.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
-
Choca you might want to consider a homestay/b and b company.
If it is just a weekend you can find good rates in the financial district. I have found some good bargains through priceline as well.
There might be a few places in Brooklyn, but the surrounding areas are not that strong on hotels in my experience.
-
Hello Ladies -- long time no talk! How is everybody? Shouldn't we get together one of these days?
-
Hey everyone. Getting together this coming weekend at Sangria. See the post about it.
regards,
flash

Are we going to meet? Anyone would like to join us? Any ideas? -
A Thursday is ideal for me. I really liked cafe sabra sky....we could do that and a museum? Or cloisters and the leaf cafe in the park? -
or Holiday House.... -

Hi Cookiegal: it is so nice to hear from you, too.
Flash, Chriskaput: what day is good for you, Ladies? Let's meet! Even next week would be great!
