How wonderful Mini1 - where did you go to swim with the dolphins?
-
Mini: WOWOWOW! Good for you!
-
I went to Miami Seaquarium (sp?). My sis lives there. Why I never did it when I lived there I dont' know. Too busy working I guess. You never go to the tourist spots when you live someplace. :-) It was fun. If I ever hit the lotto, I'm buying out all the tickets they have for an entire day and taking my extended family there to spend the day. :-) If I had to do it all over, I'd have stayed and gotten a job there. :-)

Had a major meltdown on the rad table this morning....had to wait treatment for a few minutes while I cried like a baby...don't know why, guess just a buildup..
but make room for me everyone...I will be up there with you tomorrow...day 25.
-
DONE DONE DONE. ...and I did cry. I guess we just get on with business while it's happening. It was a mix of relief, joy and stress relief.
Boost area is doing the yucky, moist yellow peeling. Doctor prescribed silvadene and I have to debrid with a mix of perioxide and water. A little bit of an owie with my open incision but I will deal with with it.
Cross posting this so forgive me if you read this more than once. Who's next to finish?
-
Me.....................tomorrow, will be there with you.
so happy for you.
I am sore & itching today.,...had nothing else so I opened a couple of vitamen e capsules, squirted the oil on & was almost instant relief....
-
CONGRATULATIONS Belinda! Isabelle, we're waiting for you on the podium!
-
Woohoo Belinda! I moved over so you could do a proper happy dance!
-
Come on up Belinda! Congratulations!
Isabelle sorry you had a meltdown! Maybe you got the tears out and won't cry tomorrow! We will be waiting for you to make your way up on the podium. -
Belinda: Make some room for me on that podium! I am done too. Yippee! Here's some confetti for us:
Isabelle: We're waiting for you. See you tomorrow :-)
-
Tab...I am so happy for you...sitting here in tears knowing that another sister has made it through...do not know if I will ever get over what has happened to my life....yes, I do know.... will survive.
BTW the vitamen E capsules helped a lot with the itching & burning.
-
Isabelle: I'm so glad the vitamin D helped you. I'm using it with aloe. And yes you will survive. We've become stronger and more compassionate. As they say, "What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!"
-
So happy for you all - way to go. I will start mine on the 19th of this month, sure wish it was behind me also.
Hugs to you all!!!!
-
Belinda and TAB55 - So happy that you are joining us. It's a great feeling, isn't it?
Isabelle - Tomorrow. You can do it. We are all waiting for you.
Is there anyone else out there from our original group still getting rads? Please give your name and tell how many treatments you have left to do.
-
woohoo Tabb!
-
I forgot Tab. Shame on me. I'm scooting over on the podium right now! C'mon Isabelle, we're waiting for you. :-)
-
LOVED the confetti
-
Yea Tab and Belinda: Congrats!!!!!
-
Tab congratulations! I loved the confetti!! What a group of strong women!
-
Hmmm, I think Isabelle and I are the last two. Obviously, we saved the best for last
. C'mon, Isabelle, bring it home.
Ellendou: Welcome, and I think you'll find that the radiation goes quickly. And aloe is your friend.
-
TAB55 thank you I will get some.
-
Congratulations Tab, Belinda, Kim & Isabelle!! Too bad we aren't all geographically close, we could all celebrate together! Cheers to all!
-
I toasted all my rad sisters with a glass (or two) of wine at dinner. Cin Cin!
-
Dolphins, where?
-
Moonflower, I am so sorry to hear about the infection. I hope everything clears up quickly. I can't imagine how frustrated that must make you feel. Hope you have a good birthday none the less.
Isabelle, congrats on your last day of rads! Mine was in Nov., on 11/11/11 at 11 am in fact. I wasn't expecting it to be very emotional as I was still getting Herceptin txs, but I cried like a baby. It is very freeing to know you're done with that.
Debbie, I some how missed everything with your dad. I am so sorry, I know what you're going through. Hugs and good thoughts to you.
I still want to try making bread apple. You make it sound so easy. Last weekend was a community yard sale, the entire boro has it every year the weekend after Labor Day. My DH saw a bread machine, but didn't get. I went looking on Sunday, but it was gone.
Getting a real Phila. treat for dinner tonight, Primos hoagies to take to the Phillies game. My DS is home for the week from school in Minneapolis, and both my sons and DH are going. DD has dance class, and can't come unfortunately. It's also dollar dog night at the game, I might indulge in a beer, a dog, and some ice cream too. We shall see. If the Phillies play well, I think I will probably eat more. LOL
Have a great day everyone.
-
Where's Isabelle? I want her to join us on the podium!
-
Yes, Isabelle..Where are you? Congrats!!!!!
-
Isabelle must be out celebrating!
-
Isabelle is lost? Come join us, Isabelle. Congratuations.
-
Maybe she's still doing the happy dance and hasn't had the time or the want to to check in. I'm hoping!
