Hi the Doc mentioned I might have a cortisol issue. I get fainty of I am in a hot shower. Even a very warm shower. I start to faint and grab my robe and throw myself on my bed until I recover. I take the coolest showers I can stand to avoid this symptom.  So the Doc mentioned we should do a test once I was done with treatment.   What is the test?  Does anyone know?

    Thanks Ginger

Hey every body!  I've been absent for a few days...after my awesome visit with my youngest, my DH had his birthday on Saturday and today was just a waste of a day....but I'm in nocturnal mode so here I am!!

LeahLee...oh the waiting sucks monkey balls...LOL  I love that expression of suckiness.  But, it really does.  I hope for the best for you sweetie.  Tomorrow we should know, right?  HUgs, prayers, happy healing thoughts for you!  My DH did some things that I was like WTF but then everything else that he has done has just buried all that in a pile of sunshine.  He's my personal angel.

Any stress reliever is allllllllright in my book...pictures of awesome people included!!

Lauren...I feel for you.  I really do.  Had some significant work related shit myself.  Can't really elaborate on that but I can tell you that cancer has a very dark side for some and it has nothing to do with treatments, side effects, etc...it's all about ignorance.  I don't even have anything supportive to say like, "hang in there...it'll get better..."  Instead, I'd say something like, "what's the next step?"

MAMA - Always glad to see ya!!

Nancy...hellllloooooooo!!  Sorry I was gone for a while.  How are you doing my dear?

Granny...please keep us posted on those tests.

GG - oh so glad they up'd your meds!!!  You've been suffering for so long.  Are you doing better?  Are they working?  Fall is coming and I would like to schedule some coffee and tea dates on your deck.  It must be so beautiful where you live...

CHH:  Helpful - genuine people.  It's that simple.  People who don't ASK what I need them to do...they just do it.  People who helped my family, including my puppy.  People who are actually interested in the good, the bad and the ugly. THIS COMMUNITY!  So very helpful... NOT HELPFUL:  the assholes who like to tell dead people stories.  the assholes who think they KNOW EXACTLY what you're going through.  the assholes who KNOW what caused the disease.  the assholes who only visit/talk/call/text selfishly.  the assholes who judge us and treat us like crap because it messes up their schedule or you got a boob or two removed...the assholes who "ask how you are" so they can tell their own story of how awesome they were to a (usually) deceased patient...Pretty much any asshole is on this list.  Pisses me off just thinking about it.  Yell  I am glad that you asked though...that is super sweet of you to look into this for her.  I think I may have a blood pressure problem...lol

I have two shrink appt's on Tuesday.  I think I might ask for some meds...maybe...I think they want me to be sedated...I'd much rather be energized.  So sick of being down...so we'll see what happens.  Wish me luck...

I need some stress relief...I'll find some pictures to post...muhaha....

Ginger....is your blood pressure elevated?  Does it change dramatically when you change positions like sitting, laying down, standing?

FUZZOLA, enjoyed those paper note things.  As for the meds, will be picking them up Wednes, don't want to go nowheres until then.  But since I'll be a week ahead of when I would have gotten my old ones, I have some extras, so have tried to replicate most of what I'll be getting, and my focus is better, I feel better, very relaxed.  And actually, the thing I needed the most, is I've been able to do a few extra things here and there that I wouldn't have dreamed of doing before.  So, won't be long before I'll hopefully start exercising more, to get some of my weight off.  Hey, tea in the Sahara sounds good to me, we shall take it in the gazebo, where you can see the looming ridge across the street and the pasture next door I want to buy, across from the creek.  But you must let me finish cleaning my house first, otherwise you'll get the plague coming here.  GG

lol. At allll the great pics and quotes. Yep, fuzzy, should hear from the BS today about the path. Must be why I woke up in this anxious, awful b*tchy mood.

When I saw my GP, he said I didn't need antidepressant, that this was situational depression. But he just doesn't get it, my history .....anyway, will likely see the psych folks at the breast center, hopefully they will get it. Meantime, I better get my lazy butt in gear and do something, besides wait for the frappin phone to ring.

Hello to you Nancy! I'm feeling physically ok, wishing I didn't have to wear this bra 24/7,but otherwise ok. How are you?

Happy Monday Romper Roomers! (anybody else watch that show, get your magic mirror)

Ooh yeah, Fuzzy, I have a fuzzy orange in my trash right now. Not very attractive for sure. Not at all like you.

I need to get up and go get my head shrunk. I don't know what to talk about. Oh well.

After that I will walk the neighborhood looking for jerks who have their trash out without cans/lids and otherwise are making life sweet for rats. Then I hope to get to the gym. I don't think that walk will count as exercise, especially when it is only in the 70's here today.

Hi Ginger. I recognize your name from Marybe's tv thread. Is Breaking Bad awesome or what? Once you've seen that, everything else is second rate. It's spoiled me for any other television. Glad you're enjoying it. I can't remember without going back, but I believe you were on episode 10 or so? So much more great stuff to come. I can't imagine not having it to look forward to after the last six episodes. Cry

I didn't, but my kids did..............ROMPER, BOMPER, STOMPER, BOO........TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME DO...........MARGIC MIRROR TELL ME TODAY.........DID ALL MY FRIENDS HAVE FUN AT PLAY...................then she said everyone's name, but my kids..........................needless to say..................that went over like a "fart" in church.................guess I should have named them Mary, John,  or another common name.................however, but the time I got a "Michael" the show was no longer on.....................I had a Vincent, Genevieve, Michele, while the show was on TV................then a Eugene, Michael, and a Nicasia.................ok, even thinking she would say the "last" one is a stretch, but it was gone by then anyway......................but oh yes I do remember the show.

How about Pinky Lee.....anyone remember that one..........or ....Soupy Sales........Howdy Doody..........I could go on forever.....................what the hell...................6 kids, meant a lot of years with "kid shows"..............but the best was Sesame Street................loved those little muppets.........even I enjoyed that show...............ok, I'm back to the present.................hugs.

OMG, speaking of children's tv shows....remember Teletubbies? What an inane show that was, but the kids couldn't take their eyeballs off the screen. I remember having to cook them "tubbie custard" for every viewing.

Ducky, you are so right.....kids learn sooooo much from Sesame Street. That show did more to prepare them for kindergarten than I ever could have.

Ducky, On names--someone made a killing at the market here by making pins with names while you waited. Everyone who had kids/grans with unusual names bought one for them. She just bent wire to make the name in cursive. Maybe I could learn to do that in retirement for extra income!

    Hey Wren...........works for me..........................

Gracie.......I took care of my grandson for my daughter while she worked, from 3 months old, and his sister when she was born 2 years later......................he watched Telletubbies, and I would think.......what a goofy show, but he enjoyed it........also he enjoyed Dora the Explorer.........I think he could talk Spanish after watching that show, better then the kids in High School................he loved Sesame St................I think he learned so much from that show, but this is my feeling.......................don't sit them there, and walk away.........stay with them, comment on the show to them,...........and once its over, talk about the show, and turn it off.......................That is why Telletubbies was a turn off for me .............there was no learning anything from the show............thank heavens he did not like it enough to watch everyday.............it was only on occassion..........

Another good show, and was very educational was "Between the Lions".....................some say TV is bad for kids...............not if you  let them watch the proper programs..................I actually miss that "together" time we shared...................he is 14 now.........................his sister 12, but she was not into any of the programs he was.........................not much of a TV fan her..........................miss those days..............now I am just there to see that they get off the bus, and in the house safely, until my daughter, or her husband get home................whoever is first...................

Me Today - Waiting for my BS to call with my pathology report.....

"A most useless place, The Waiting Place...
    ...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
Or a bus to come, or a plane to go
Or the mail to come, or the rain to go
Or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
Or waiting around for a Yes or a No
Or waiting for their hair to grow.
    Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite
Or waiting for wind to fly a kite
Or waiting around for Friday night
Or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
Or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
Or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants
Or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
    Everyone is just waiting.
    NO!
That's not for you!" - Dr. Seuss

Fuuzy some times it is low, especially if I am not in the Doctors office. The more scared I am the higher it seems to be.   I don't know about it being different in different positions. I will need to find that out.   The other day when I wnet to the sleep clinic it was somethign pover 94. I never had a 94 on the bottom in my life. Of course the cuff went awry because my hand was shaking and it made it reinflate. I actually had to say "Get it off NOW!"  The bottom 94* was taken then on the front part of my arn near my wrist.   Usually my BP is something like 120 over 75 or sometimes much lower.

We have an automatic machine here at ho,e I will have my DH help me try it in different positions.   Thanks
