I just talked to Melissa J. & from that conversation & her FB post, she called Marybe just a while ago & she is still very groggy and weak. She cannot talk long without going into coughing fits. She says the doctors think they can reverse this. Like 3jays said, they have her up and walking around alot. Mel could not talk to a family member to get the whole story. I have Meli's phone number, PM me if anyone would like to talk to her.
Keeping Marybe in my prayers. Please, dear Lord, give the doctors strength to heal her. Please surround her with our love & prayers. Please, Lord, hear our prayer.

Thanks for keeping us posted. Marybe IS a fighter and with our army of thoughts and prayers... She will succeed in this battle. Rest comfortably Marybe!!
-
Thanks for the update, Valjean. Up and walking is a good thing.
-
The walking is to help her heart. She is walking with help and has been since admission due to her heart failure problems. It isn't the same as being up and about. Marybe posted a week ago I think that when she was given a new medicine that she mistakenly thought she was to discontinue another that was for her heart. Poor communication through a PA was a problem. That caused a problem and thus the renal failure along with heart failure all getting worse. Now she has a team of Drs and that will hopefully help her.

Believe me, Gingerbrew, I understand what "up and walking" means for a CHF patient - and if they're allowing her to be up and walking, it means her oxygen sats aren't plunging when she does it, and it is a good thing, and a positive sign... because otherwise, they would not allow her to be walking at all, as a matter of fact, they would forbid it... so yes, "up and walking" is a good thing - it's all relative, but it's a good thing.
-
I guess her BP isn't crashing either as she is "up and walking"....?
-
Thanks for the address.
-
Thanks for the update!

Valjean thanks for the update. Glad she's finally got all the specialists in one place and working together and glad that she's in the hospital where they can stop her from playing the "energizer bunny" - lesson there for all of us - no PA's just MDs when in crisis.
-
Yeah for up and walking! I had no idea that was as big Of a deal as it is...WHOOT WHOOT!
-
Hi! Marybe! Keep on walking sweet lady!! You are my hero!!!! Lots of Love and prayers!!!!
-
Thinking of you, Marybe. Love & hugs, dear sister/friend.

First time on this thread...saw the link from 3jays (thanks darling) directing us here. Have to say, my initial impression, other than horror that one of our best is suffering, is the overwhelming coming together that we do for each other. Not that there are favorites, but man...such love for Marybe, because she's sooooo damned special. Thought it was just to me! Always had a soft spot in my heart for that woman. Anyway, adding my prayers to all those here for a resolution to this latest bump in her road. Following the practice we started on another thread, I'm in for the pocket party - we'll all fit into her pockets - they expand as needed for every single 'threader' who wants to join. But we need to bring food, and lots of outside help, so here's my offering for the pockets Marybe ... hope they help. Love you girl.
-
Sending warm wishes and prayers for our beloved Marybe, I'm in for the pocket party!!!

From UK, beloved Marybe, turn the corner soon and come back to us! Anne

didn't get to talk to her today: but got the report that she's just exhausted.. the walking is to get her heart pumping, but her bp is really low, so they have to be careful.. talked her friend there, who didn't know me well. said she'd be out in a few days: but i know from talking to marybe yesterday, thats' just not true, and her friend was covering, not knowing me..
i still can't get Tim to call me back, so leaving her messages is the spot im stuck in, now.. her friend she's only talking to the few she hadnt been able to reach.. i now she talked a little to mel today, but had a coughing fit, and had to hang up... just praying, waiting to hear.. will try again, tommorrow...
i love you guys so much for rallying around. i even got a message from the mods on her behalf.. this is a great place.. hope she'll be on soon enough to tell it all herself....3jays

Some of us know Marybe's last name. We could copy the pages and mail them to Marybe along with cards. Is this a good idea? Is there a better way to do it. I understand her friends instinct to protect Marybe from exertion. Perhaps someome could get permission from TIm to share their last name in private messages? I am just trying to think up something to let Marybe know how loved she is. Ginger

Always thinking of you Marybe.... Knowing that we all love you, will maybe help you get over this last set-back! You were there for me in the very beginning...always encouraging me. Thanks for being my inspiration. ((((marybe))))

I spoke with Marybe last night. Her creatine level has dropped, which means she is not in renal failure anymore. She is very tired. well who wouldn't be? The tiredness is related to the CHF I am thinking. I also spoke to her husband and made him poromise to call me if she takes a trun for the worse. I told her I was coming there and she said no, no so I am holding off for now. She is very anal-retentive about the cleanliness of her house and would not want me to 'see' it. I would stay in a hotel anyway! I will call her again later this morning and will update you all after that. She is feeling better.
-
Barb thank you so much for new information!!!!!! If you want to go and will stay in a hotel it seems like a good idea. She just doesn't want to put any out, it is just her way.
I am so happy to hear the renal failure is under control, so happy to hear that.
Thanks again Barb

Barbara... Thanks for the update! A relief that she is doing better! Now let's hope those cardiologists can get her stabilized so she's up and out and feeling better soon!
Marybe! Rest comfortably now because once you're better... We all look forward to your adventures...whether at home or about! -
Thanks for the update Barbara. It is good to know that Marybe is doing a bit better. I hope that she continues to get the rest and care she needs to continue to heal.
Marybe - keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you will soon be able to gain your strength back and be well once more. Love and hugs to you.
-
You're doing GREAT sweetie!! We're still hoping we can join you for Canadian Thanksgiving!!!
