lets find the humor in this
i am sitting here drinking a broccoli shake. It is yuck! Made it with my vitamixer. Has to be the oddest thing i have made so far.
I scored a bonus at dentist today. I owed them over hundred from last time. The last visit was 70 for him to fix a cavity or two. Thought this was a little low. Went in for cleaning today and they told me about the extra i owed. I go but i had BC. The manager overhears and she said no charge.
Anyone else get any bc perks?

I never head of putting broccoli in a shake/ smoothie? This is my favorite, and I swear it's delicious!
Large handful of fresh baby spinach
One container of vanilla Greek yogurt
One banana
One cup Boathouse Green Godess juice
One peeled kiwi
4-5 ice cubes
Blend really well.... -
I played the "C" card, and got out of a speeding ticket. This cop was convinced that I was drinking, which I wasn't, so I told him I was in chemo and couldn't drink.
Also, the day I got diagnosed, two of my sisters went with me, and when we got home, we all had to pee really bad, and started racing into the house to get to the bathroom first. (don't all 50ish women do this?) I yelled, "I go first. I have cancer!" I got to go first.

Had chocolate shake from sonic today. Much better

You know what's really good? The McFlurry's with m&m's! My fav.....
Love Sonic too. My boys get a kick out of going there and eating in the car -
All right I guess I just am not so lucky. On my way to radiation with my hospital parking card in the windshield proclaiming why I got preferred parking and one big ticket later...

I have just found this thread... I love it.
When I was dx'd my friend at work who had bc 2 years ago said "I now hand to you the BC Card" "what's that I asked" and she told me that when she had bc and didn't want to do anything at home, she would say to her DH and DD's... "but I can't do that I have cancer" to which they replied "dont pull the bc card on us"
And yes, I have pulled it many times at home especially with DH. We laugh often about it.
I also go out of a speeding ticket.... told him I was late for a chemo treatment. Told me to take care in future.

I pull the 'BC Card' out at home all the time - for anything from getting a cuppa made, to housework, to getting to watch what show I want to watch on TV.
My ever-suffering partner and child are getting really really good at rolling their eyes !!

I did not get out of a speeding ticket but maybe I would have had I pulled the cancer card. I was on my way to a Gilda's Club support meeting for my two children who where in the car with me. It was a real speed trap (25 miles per hour, I never speed, I drive like an old lady, I was probably going 35 miles per hour). I told the officer I was on my way to Gilda's club for a support meeting for kids, I was bald but I had a hat on...I didn't actually SAY I had cancer. I thought he would just know what Gilda's Club was. I still got the ticket. Then I tried to dispute it to have it reduced. I had my chemo, I am bald hat on there as well. The judge looked at me funny, but I never mentioned cancer. I didn't get out of the ticket!!! HA HA HA!!!! When I was being treated for cancer, suddenly I was the most beautiful, funny person in the world. Anywhere I sat, I would get a large group of people sitting around me laughing at every joke I uttered. It could be embarrassing at times, it really was soo pronounced. I remember once being in Target, and a woman was rude to me! I was soo happy to be treated normal!!! Two year later, I barely get noticed when I go to the park where I see these same women every day. I am soooo very happy!!! I find I pull the "lymphedema card" now. I get out of carrying a lot of heavy stuff this way. I just don't let them see me lugging rocks around the yard....I have an army of family members waiting by the van every time I get back from the store, to help with groceries!! I think their just happy I'm still here to cook all those incredible meals for them...otherwise it would likely be Velveeta cheese shells and hot dogs every night!
