Marlegal - so glad you dropped in. Do give 3jays a call, I know she would love to hear from any of her friends. I wish I could make it down to see BarbA and go see her then. I have not met her yet but I feel like I know her through Marybe and BarbA. Take care and come back and post often.
-
All of you who live close to one another, not 2000 miles away, I do hope you get together more often. I write and listen from afar but even I feel like I sort of know you.
Hugs Ginger

3jays - it is so good to see you posting here again. I have missed you.
Ginger - getting to know each other is what this is all about. The support, encouragement, and love we get from and give to each other. Wish you lived closer, maybe I can make a trip your direction on my way to Japan to see my DD#1 and her family.

Ginger, do you ever check the thread for get togethers to see if there are meet-ups in your area? I've been to many over the years in the Phila area and have made some friends for life in the process.
-
Ginger, why not start a lunch bunch in your area, we did and we have been getting together for many years now..everyone is welcome.

Wow, thanks for the ideas. I will look for those threads. I did contact one group that is meeting in Seattle but they meet south. I am not actually in Seattle but in Redmond, actually East of Redmond in the direction of Carnation (yes, that Carnation, the dairy's original site). I can give it a try to collect some women on the "east side." That is what where we live is called. Thanks.
I have also been a hermit since I moved out here. I do now go to get my hair cut at a salon so I look presentable. Last haircut my hairdresser blew my hair out rather big and I looked like a lady who lunches, haha. Maybe I will meet someone new this year.
Where is our friend from England who farms, I can not believe I cannot recall her name!!!! Drives me crazy!!!! We haven't heard from her in days and days, or so it seems.
Hope all of you in the path of Isaac have an easy go of it.
Hugs GInger

ginger, that's Isabelle and I've been missing her too.
-
Isabelle is being missed by a lot of people. Just love her stories of her life. I can only hope that her absence means that she if finally getting her back surgery done. Does anyone know how to contact her other than on BCO?
-
No, I don't know how to contact Isabella. Is there a general listing of all of us somewhere on here? I miss Isabella and her puppies and stories. I always look for Isabella when she posts.
I hope someone will know where she is!

Hello ladies,
Looks like its the season to get back in touch with each other. So.. Im back too! Hope the absent ones reappear soon.
The storm of the year caused flash flooding and crazy winds . Power outages.. here for 3 days. I'll bet barbara a. Is working, helping, leading the recovery wherever she is. and Isabella has new helpers, shaving matts off her dogs and getting thimgs done. (praying for both to be fine.)
Lots to catch up on, im going tuesday for eval for lymphedema and it only took a year. Wondering how the first visit will go. suggestions? Not looking forward to it, dont want them to hurt me.
Babysitting today, two beautiful GDs. Sunshine. K is 3, B is 7months and sitting up!
I'll be back later on.

Sending up prayers for Marybe along with so many others here. Ginger
-
Connie, the therapist won't hurt you, she'll help you feel better. I loved my treatments!! Heading off to Marybe's thread....with a heavy heart.
-
Connie, ditto what Barbe said...your LE therapist should never hurt - only help. If it hurts, they're not doing it right, so don't settle for that! I'm not clear from your post whether you already know you have LE, or just an eval to stay on top of things in case it develops, which is a good thing. I've been dealing, mainly successfully, with LE for more than 5 yrs now so please feel free to PM me with any questions about that at all, I'd be happy to lend an ear and maybe advice.
-
Prayers for Marybe...........................God help us all................hugs
-
Connie, I had an evaluation for LE and it didn't hurt at all. My arms were measured up and down about every inch or so. I was given some advice and that was all. I was sort of looking forward to the LE massage because I was told it was light like feathers. I am fortunate that I don't need the treatment at this time. I think you will find your appointment pleasant compared to all we have been through. Ginger

Hi all, sorry I have been AWOL. I spoke with 3jays and Marybe yesterday. Marybe is feeling a lot better but very tired. I am thinking the tiredness is due to the CHF. Her creatine levels have dropped so she is not in renal failure. Thinks it was the combo of meds that got her that way in the first place. I told her I was going to go up there but she said no, no. Anyway I made her husband promise to let me know if she takes a turn for the worse. She is on th emend. I plan to call her later this AM and will update you all after. I promise not to be a stranger. Have been very depressed. Better now.
-
Thanks for the update Barbara, and HUGS to you, sweetie!!
-
Hugs back, Barbe!!
-
Barbara, so very glad to see you back. Missed you.
-
Barbara, thanks so much for filling us in. Please let Marybe know when you talk with her how many of us are holding her in our prayers, anxious to read her own words as soon as she's able. And we're doing the same for you too by the way. You've had a rough year and I want it to get better for you NOW!!
-
sent her a card yesterday..
-
Just seen the news on Marybe's thread and on FB that things are not good at all for Marybe.
Love and big hugs.
