Oh, I forgot....my DD and family are here, plus her DH's family, for his triathlon in the morning. I got to see my DD, SIL, and g'kids, but so far my DH has not gotten to see them, since at least one of us has to be here with the workers. AND get this....my other DD broke her toe(s) yesterday in the Tae Kwan Do class.....she had her DH were sparring but their feet hit together, which wasn't supposed to happen. Geez, my family has so much trouble with our feet!!!! I am glad I will get to see a dr about my ankle on Mon, hoping he says it is NOT broken. DO NOT want it to be broken and have to have it re-broken to set it right, esp with a cruise coming up.
HOPE Juliet, that you and also you Cyn, will be okay and not get affected by Isaac!!!! Keep us posted so we know you are ok!
Ok, thats it....CHEERS, BOTTOMS UP, PAU HANA. SLAINTE!

Orla - sooo sad to hear bout you MIL's mom...Prayers and big HUGZ. Jes so you kno, my aunt (moms side) had bc dx at 80. Had mastectomy, takes AL's, etc. She'll be 83 this Nov and still going strong...It IS possible to survive longer than we think!! Praying for same results for her!
DorKa - ewe go u beautiful 'single' lady. Reminds me of da Beyonce song...'all da single ladies'...sumpin like dat...jes let your new hair down, show off dem purdy toes and 'git er done' heehee. I'm rootin...well not rootin like a sow...but I'm in ur corner...hope u hab some REAL fun tanite!!
Cyn - Jes board up da place n pretend u not home...heehee! Am sure u won't need no rescuing. Isaac bedamned! I mean. Be damned......heehee...see ya SundeyFundey girl!!
Julie - nice tribute...I didn't kno this...I'm sad :-( Stay safe from Mr. Isaac..K?
Bernie - as always....LMAO!!!
Kathy - jeezzz...does da family have 'boats' like me n DD do? I'm size 11, DD a 12. I'm suprised we ain't broken more often. DD did do a number on her 'biggin toe' when she was a teen, and blew her knee out in dance class at 16 cuz dem 'boats' wudn't pivot as fast as her leg did. But hail goil...u ankle, dd toe, sil toe...WTF? I'll b praying da dey don't hab to re-break ur ankle...OUCH...jes thinking bout it...and so close to cruise time...not goot. (((Kathy, DD, SIL too)))
-

Good point too, that she may do real well getting tx, and go on for many more years. Glad your aunt is doing well Mema, and hoping for the same for your MIL's mom, Orla.
Sue, No, jest DD broke her toe(s)....she thinks its just one, but all swollen. Our largest feet are 9's..think DD is 8.5. We jest move too fast without thinking. You wouldn't belive how often I almost kill my toes running into stuff.
Yeah I like the song you were singing for Dorkie....we could ALL portend ta be single....

re-isaac,the cone is off shore for me now,so hope it stays that way, will have at least tropical storm conditions, hey cyn,did you get your pudding in yet? me i'm winging it,no pudding but got choccy, gin, cider and chips.so have my essential supplies. kathy get everybody fixed up now ,because it looks like your getting wet in a few days, hope they get your windows done and your house locked up before isaac arries. love going to kennedy space centre, their moon landing recreation is really good. its funny, you mentioned von braun ,a few weeks ago in work talking about how some lauded programmes have dodgy beginings and the space programme was mentioned and the young ones ie 19 years old were saying huh! trying to explain to them that the space programme came from a ww2 weapon .
hope everybody is having a good sat night, going to have a cider just to check its not gone off before isaac arrives -
-
-
Yeah Juliet, guess the young ones just don't understand those early beginnings...soooo much history there. My DD1's first home was owned by a member of Von Braun's rocket team that he brought over from Germany...they bought ithe house new and were the only owners till they passed...so DD was just the 2nd owner. LOL about checking the cider! Hope all your hatches are battened down in case it veers off course. Gotta be safe!

Juliet, Like the dangling bottles warning sign! Hope you don't get too much rain and wind....looks like the worst places anticipated now are New Orleans/Biloxi/Gulf Shores?Mobile/Pensacola. Thought of all of you in FL and the coast while the guys were covering up the OSB on our house, luckily just had to cover with Tyvex...but OMG all of those having to cover windows, ect with plywood, what a mess.
Cyn, Hope the weather won't be bad where you are too. Make sure you have enough Natties on hand! And also hoping your company can get home safely....wonder if flights are already being cancelled?
Suppposed to sleep late today, but nooooooooooo, woke up at 5 ayem...shoot! Sounds like Dotty woke up tooooo eurly too. Whut's wrong wid us????
Sure could use a nice BIG buffet and nice BIG dwinks today. Gonna check out the mimosa fountain....they used my fave asti moscato in it today.....yummmmmm. Just that and peach schnapps....poifect. Haven't seen my parents for 2 days since the workers were here, seems like longer....so will def see them today and make sure all is well. Also hope to see DD and fam, esp g'kids again...SIL has his big triathlon today, doing it right now actually....but DD got sick, so may hope to see her again, but will have to keep a distance....can't get sick. She was going to try to rescue my pics, etc. from my dead puter, and now when I was going to get pics off another desktop, I think it died too, so hoping she can do that one eventually too. I DO have the extra hard drive, why didn't I back them up????? Jest stoooooopid, or too bizzy.
OK, you all have a WUNNERFUL FUNNERFUL SUNNERLY-DEY....OKEY?????

ood morning, Loungettes! I caught a cold (surprise, surprise after 2 weeks of being in and out of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, smoke filled homes). Now feeling much better, does not seem to be progressing to serious asthma symptoms (although I am still watching for that very carefully). Feeling much better after doing absolutely nothing but dwink ginger ale and nap yesteday. I'm really looking forward to next week and getting more into the swing of things at work. I've even bought an african violet for my cubicle! Now to do some serious ketchuping. . . .

ORLA--what is it about starting a new job or going through some big change in life that ensures you catch a cold or something????
Goldie--great fried egg! How'd you do that???? And that cocktail is enough to get me to try beer!

ORLA--oh, my dear, I am praying for your step grandmom. It is an epidemic, and if it were happening to men there would be a cure already, I bet.

CynCyn--hope you're enjoying your company!
BBBBernie! LOL!!!
ORLA--WHERE do you find that stuff????????
DorKable--don't be too busy to take some time for yourself here in the HTL!!!! Life's too short to not have some fun every day.
Wahine--I remember my mom and dad getting us kids up to see the moon landing. We watched it on a little black and white TV, too. I'm praying for a good report on the ankle!
Juliet--keep and eye on the storm track, these things can change and man's predictions often don't match up to Mother Nature's plans. Reminds me that it's time to look at my hurricane/blizzard prep for this season, too.

DorKable--we all go thorugh times when we need to focus on ourselves, and we're all here to support and help however we can. So no worries!

Wahine--I know you have an external hard drive to back up your stuff, but there are on-line places too. I use Carbonite. It costs about $50 a year, and it automatically backs up everything every time I connect to the internet. It's saved me soooo many times that I figure it's well worth the cost. I can get any file on my desk top computer from any other computer or tablet or whatever just by logging in to the Carbonite site. There are other similar sites, you might want to shop around and cost compare.
It's a georgous Sunday, I need to check on the service times of a couple of churches I want to visit and see if I can still catch one this am. Need some laundry done, too. So time for meese to get moving.

Hi Goils
To the single ladies
Juliet love the pics. I have been to the space center in FL it was fun.The gorcery stores must be nuts there everyone packing up on booze and food. It hit hati I think.Hopefully it will be ok. I was in FL once and they had these high winds and the tides were huge I loved it. I know I am weird I like storms.
Thank you for prayers.
I do not think ill b single for long I met someone IDK online but he doesnt know I have no boobs. He sounds per fect. we will see. I move quick
Love u all

Well finally, nice to see some familiar faces, was beginning to look like a ghost town around here!
Great funnies girls!
Lara, I too am sorry to hear of the RB hitting in your family. MIL or Step Mom's mom? Anyways, one of my best friends mother got the RB, she is in her 80's. Just had MX, no treatments due to age, and she is doing great. Prayers and hugs for you and your family.
Miss Single to Mingle, hope you had fun at your party girl.
Kathy, that would be too funny if those guys would let you take a picture of them. I dare you!!!!! I just cringed, reading that they would have to re-break the ankle to fix it if it was indeed broke. I would be VERY upset at the doctor that said it was NOT broke. Sorry about your DD's toe, now that one can not be fixed. I had foygotten about your pictures, I hope your DD can get them.
Julie/Cyn stay safe. I have not seen any weather reports, so don't know what Isaac is doing. But I know what Cyn is doing........heheheheh!!!!!!
Wow Dork, that was some post! It would take me foyever to post like dat. You good girl!
Love the shoes for Kathy, BBBB. I'll see if I can post them. And the "I fart on the first date" for Dork.

NM, mese has a heart shaped cookie cutter, so I can cook with love...............awwwww! Good to see you and I hope you make it to a service on this beautiful day.
I'll me SEVERAL "Man on the Moons" thank you, and I am off to make salsa. Did up maters yesterday.

Oh my, I stop in for a quick lunch dwinky and end up laughing so hard I had a cough attack! I've made a double batch of blueberry muffins for the long meeting tomorrow, and am playing kitchen chemist trying to come up with a liquid version of the dry laundry soap I make. I like liquids better, I know everything is dissolved in a liquid. Things are cooling now, so I'm taking a break. Maybe I'll take a nap while the soap is cooling/gelling/turning into a mess. As long as the clothes get clean. . .

Nm food looks good
My real mom had BC twice
Me, my brother and mom are BRACA 2
This is my step grandma my step moms mom almost 80 years old just got diagnosed
-
ooops I mean Goldie Love your sauce
-
Juliet watching the news they are having hurricane parties run..... get out quick
-
LOL Juliet that is a RIOT and good lines for Lara and Dorothy to use if needed! Stay safe!
Thanks for posting the shoe pic Lori, that Bernie did for me! Yuppers, that SHOULD keep me safe....LOL.
Now I forget, was it you Sue that thought my SIL broke his toe, also? Well, the other SIL broke his toe today, the one doing the triathlon, and it was right when he got on his bike to start that long leg.....ouch! He did finish well, and beat his time from last year.
Lori, those cut up maters look sooooo good and fresh, just wanna eat a bowlful of them! So purty.
NM, good idea about the online backup, but IDK, for some reason I feel like my info could get compromised. Prolly would never happen, but thats jest me. But yeah, after the fact, it looks like a better and better way to go! Neat DOTD's you provided for us! Hope you are totally well soonliest! And good luck with the liquid soap making....you are so ambitious!
Still watching that weather, looks like the Gulf Coast is gonna get hit with a Cat 2.....that would be awful. Hope everyone takes the right precautions and we don't lose any lives, like they did in Haiti. Can you imagine living in a tent for, I think they said 2+ yrs (or was it 1+?), and then having even that get destroyed? Some of them have absolutely nothing, very sad, then they lost 4 people too from the storm.
OK, that calls for one, two, three, heck a pitcher-full each of NM's "Man on the Moon" dwinks! Safer to watch the hurricane from there, right? But *kachink* here's to Neil Armstrong, what a hero, and such a humble hero, he was! Sad that he is gone.
Huggsssssssssss,
Katheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
Cyn and Juliet, Hope you BOTH are okay. Looks like you may get (or already getting) quite a bit of rain. Hoping for NO tornadoes or really bad weather for you. AND do not want you to lose power either. Keep us updated on how you are doing, ok? Should we have a Hurricane Partay at the HTL?????
-
Hi there chicas,
Julie, sounds like you are set...I also forgoe'd the pudding idea...I did get a lot of water and a couple flashlights at Wallyworld...doesnt look like we are going to get much but some stormy weather...Its been dreary here all day and just a little windy so far.
Orla, I absoultly love storms...I get a rush out of them..however tornadoes would scare me and they did when we were under warning durring Debbi. Nothing more exciting to me (well I cant say nothing) than a good tunder and lightning storm! Good luck with your potential bf...it can work..the more you correspond and swap info on eachother you learn soooo much. Love the Rottie and the kitty vid....thats awesome.
HOLY CRAPOLI LORI.....thats a lot of maters!!!!!!! The canned salsa looks sooo yummo also.. ...btw....those boots.....look dangerous as hell....may be good however, if your profession is domenetrix (sp).
Kathy..please be careful with this storm..looks like its heading right for ya girl friend...lub ya and dont wanna see anything happen to ya. My company is on her way home now..she just said they were boarding her flight so she made it out in time....I think your idea about getting sick when there is a major change in your life is right on..I've been trying to keep something at bay all weekend. Sorry about the broken digits...was it your DD?? Enjoy your family hun.
Dorty..hope you had fun at the partay...I have to tell you ...you crack my ass up!!! seriously ....You have to be of the funniest ladies I know..I cant wait to throw some back with you some day baby cakes.
Bernie, I missed that big pic also..it didnt load for me...

Love you all...I'll stop in later taters
