Sure wish I could be there with y'all! Take good notes, please, all of you, and report back with as much information as you can! Great list of speakers--enjoy and learn lots.

Oh, one other reason I'd love to be there is to find out how to pronounce "vlnrph"!
(Help! Throw me a few vowels!!Laughing)

Hugs all around, and don't forget to get a video of the flashmob!

Sorry Binney, thought I was clever by dropping the vowels from "violin" and then using my professional designation (registered pharmacist). Perhaps that makes me more identifiable when many would suggest staying anonymous but this is the first website I ever really connected to beyond lurking!

Looks like good attendance is anticipated from the number of email addresses given - I noticed the Solaris president as well as Juzo & Impedimed reps on the list.

Ok Vlnrph - now I'm really jealous. I wonder if they will have vendor - type booths. The chance to see & touch all the garments types in one place would be AWESOME! Everybody seems to have their favorites and only carries samples of jobst, or Juno, Solaris or whatever. I would love to the able to look at all the choices and talk to reps who know the product rather than play "wonder what I ordered and if it will fit" ?? If they do this again, maybe we will need to have a WI carpool!! By the way, now the screen name makes sense...

I was in downtown Columbus today and visited a cool shop, and they had a variety of old maps and vintage anatomy drawings. I look up, and I see two framed vintage drawings of the lymphatic system!!! I go upstairs and see another. When I go to the counter with a necklace I want to purchase, I tell them the vintage drawings of the lymphatic system are really cool. They say, "yeah, we like old stuff like that". I ask if they put these out because of the OSU conference on lymphedema. They said no ???? what conference? I tell them about the summit and that I bet some folks might be interested in these and would they mind if I took a few pics. They told me to go ahead, so I did! If you are interested in any of these, they are at Tigertree, 771 N. High St. The first two are framed, but the third has a removable plastic covering.

Off to Columbus today. First I need to drop my niece's van at the auto repair shop - then get my blood drawn - then get my LE drainage massage then get on the road.

Went to Toledo Sat-Sun to meet a friend and shop. I know I am over doing it this week and I'm loving it. I can always crash and rest - but I gotta push it to get back to pre-BC stamina.

The prelude to the summit was great: five of us at dinner, doing show-and-tell, as we have quite the diversity of garments and we were comparing fabrics, textures, softness, thickness, etc.  We even skyped Nitocris in, so that made six for the conversation! And it was in the wee hours for her in Finland.  It is simply grand to talk about LE with others who 'get it.'  What a great group!  Tomorrow will be fascinating, and I am looking forward to the special joy of learning, especially on a topic that's so much a part of my daily life.

I would love you summit girls to video the 5 of you trying to cut your steak with your gear on and then send it to the women that gave that faulty presentation (the one Kira went to) the one that says we are NON -COMPLIANT with our garments.  Hum, I wonder if she would think "Where in the world are these non-compliant girls coming from, the woodwork!"

Seriously, I am so ....overjoyed....... that you can come together and share info, have laughs etc.   I want to be there!

I want to hear all about it as soon as possible. LEARN LOTS FOR US GIRLS PLEASE!

The Summit information was wonderful. Meeting Carole, Becky, Tina and vlnrph was fabulous.

Had a wonderful two days, I'm back home, tired, and already in bed. Too tired for MLD but arm is good. Lots of rest tonight and start back to work tomorrow after 3.5 weeks off.

    Life is good.

Diane, it was great to meet you and vlnph and see Carol and Becky again. I agree the summit was terrific!

I also got to meet Bob Weiss and thank him for his help with my appeal. He was kind enough to pose for a pic when I nabbed him on the way to the parking lot. I usually prefer to remain anonymous on BCO but will break my rule for this one. My hero!

Aw, Tina, that's just a delight. Thanks, Bob, for all you do!

And thanks, Tina, for your bubbly spirit and everything you share with us. So glad you all were together, and even Skyping with Nitocris last night. (What? No flash mob?!) Actually you all must be exhausted--that was a lot to take in!

    Hugs all around!

It's too late for me to write much of substance, but tomorrow I'm in airports again so will have some time to make some notes to post here about what was discussed and explained.  The OSU folks will be putting the recording link on their website--same link Kira posted at the top of the thread, I think.  I'll watch for whenever they put the presentation links and the PowerPoint links up and return here to add those links.

I learned a good bit today, but most importantly, I learned that there are some pretty amazing women in the LE research community.  Electra Paskett, Janice Cormier, and Jane Armer are very compelling speakers with rock-solid credentials, so the information was well presented and impeccably credible.  More soon!

Ah Tina--you did post your picture.  You did NOT give me credit as the photographer!Tongue outBob was so sweet and shy about being asked for his photograph.  He is so unassuming.

Meeting Ohio and vinrph was really fun.  This was actually my first time meeting Carol in person but we have talked so much that I felt like I had already met her.  Remeeting Tina was great. Skyping with Nitrocris was almost like her being there with us.  If all of the rest of you out there are as awesome and as committed to being advocates for LE as these women are we are a powerful force to be reckoned with!

Hearing all of these people present the latest research in LE and in what direction we are going makes you feel less alone in this journey.  You see they really get it! I am so looking forward to NLN in a few weeks with Carol and my therapist.

I am exhausted from drive home today so am off to bed!

Forgot to add:  I stopped at the Kentucky Artisan Crafts Center on my way up to Carol's Monday.  I decided our LE group had to have some chocolate.  I bought a box of Chocolate Bourbon Truffles--not only were we in chocolate heaven we were loving the bourbon in them.  Better than virtual chocolate!

I can attest that those chocolates were indeed mighty fine! That Becky was so thoughtful to bring them!
