Where is the thread named "somewhere I don't have to be strong" where I met Carrie and Cowgirl for the first time??? I don't think it's just been archived, 'cause you wouldn't see it in your post history. Our July thread is also missing. Looks like both have been eliminated for good. Disgusting.

I think they are still working on glitches. I was unable to get back into the boards after the maintenance and received the message, "Login not found" even though I've used the same one for nearly three years. So I re-registered as CatherineF and now show up as a "newbie", even though I had 5078 posts prior to the work last Friday. Very discouraging!

    Fumi,
Hi Lady ! I miss you.
I could'nt find it either nor the July thread. There are lots of glitches still on the boards like if your typing a post it poof goes away, and if you try to change settings in your home profile it won't let you.

Some ladies like 3 strikes are trying to log on and can't get in.

    Hugs,
    Carrie

I looked and looked for it before the take down it is gone! I highly doubt it will be back, which is sad because Bolder and the other guys posted there to encourage us!

Yeah I think so too. Other glitches like the difficulties to log on the board could be solved but those threads that are missing would never be back unless they have backuped all the data. I feel so sad because those two threads were the only place here on the forum where I felt home... *sigh*

Oh Fumi that makes me sad
Then you know what , this is the What The Heck thread started by Fumi and every time I see you post here I will be sure to come and say hello or give you a hug!! So where are you in treatment? Are you doing okay? I have lost track
I know that you were doing some more chemo to shrink the bugger more (thats too nice of a word for it) and then you had surgery and they got clean margins WOO-HOO but
what is going on now ?

    hugs,
    Carrie

Well... if I had known that this thread would become the place where we would give/receive hugs or say hello, I would have given it a much better subject line. But it just sounds like me isn't it? image

What's going on with me after surgery? Yeah I'm AGAIN doing the 12 weeks of weekly Taxol (followed by 35 sessions of radiation treatment) along with Tamoxifen and a monthly Lupron shot. I'll have to take Tamoxifen for five years and Lupron for two years. My onc said he might switch Tamoxifen to other AI's like Femara if necessary but so far, I've got no nasty side effects from it other than some mild hot flashes so I don't think it's a must. Oh did I tell you that they removed 14 nodes but they're all negative and the tumor was 1cm despite the fact at least there was one positive node and the tumor was 3.5cm before I started neoadjuvant chemo? Woo hoo!

    Fumi,
I would call that a remarkable response!!!
I am so happy for you I know you went through all this alone and had to work through it all as you had no one to fall back on. I remember back when you caught a terrible cold during treatment and you were pretty tired and I wished I could have helped you I really do!
I am so glad going through all that gave you such good results! And I think if others read what a good response
you had with treatment, while they are going through it it will be very encouraging to them!!

You know Densie had a 3.7 and a spot on her liver and vascular invasion when she started treatment, when she had all her scans, and mammo done recently the spot on her liver is gone and she is dancing with NED!!
She is on the AI Armidex now for 5 yrs and doing pretty good she has what she calls itchy hot flashes and it makes her a little achey but she said it is not too bad.

I will be staring on tamoxifen soon too for the ALH / ADH
I am a little hesitant but not so much as I was at first
I hope to head the Beast off at the pass.

Fumi I think what the heck fits well don't you

Okay so we are starting over I see. So here I am finished with everything but the frozen shoulder hitch! Which in terms of BC it ain't that bad, I will take my FS over a reoccurance any day!

I go to PT twice a week now, I like her but she is tough. Homeschooling is going pretty good, he is doing better. I have decided to do a special reading program during the summer for him. TD(oldest) is in the process of preparing for dual classes in English and History. He will earn 6 hrs every semester. To me it is astounding to graduate HS with 24 hrs, but hopefully he will. Middle is just himself, not more I can say. He is too smart, and yet too lazy at the same time!

DH is finally back at work--PARTY!!! I love him but we are so independent he drives me nuts when he is home too much. I am glad to be back to our routine of goats, school, goats, dinner, bed and chores. I have missed it!

    Hi girls!

I'm so sad, too. I miss our July thread as well as others.
I often referred back to them for advice, etc. I did send a pm to Melissa last week, but never heard back. I'll give her some time -- i'm sure she's swamped. I think I also already posted somewhere about this, but am having trouble finding it. I feel like such a "newbie" again. LOL

Fumi, I think your subject line fits just fine!! Perfect, I'd say.

Carrie, I have those itchy, mild hot flashes as well (I'm on tamox). It almost feels like an allergic reaction. Seems like they occur whenever my DS and I argue about something. Basically, I ask him to do something, and he takes his own sweet time. (Cowgirl, sounds somewhat like your middle child).

Anyway, glad to see all of you. I guess I should post weekly on the threads I like so I can't complain if they disappear.

    Have a good Monday!

    Hugs,
    Wendy

    Wendy,
Denise and I were just walking out of Walmarts the other day and one hit her, she said quick get me to the car so I can scratch LOL !! It isn't really funny, but she makes light of it but I do feel bad she has to have those dang things. Wow wonder what summer is going to be like for her?

Jeez I had to think of that did'nt I

    hugs,

Tell Denise I'm worse off than she is. I do have hot flashes and am still wearing my silly wig! I'll be finally done with chemo sometime in July but I don't think my hair will grow back before mid summer. Last summer I got a lot of nasty rashes on my head because it was too hot and sticky and I was wearing a wig. I'm most likely to get them again soon. Grrr!

Fumi, Do the people you work with know you have cancer or are you trying to keep it quiet?? If they know, bald can be a fashion statement just as well as hair can!

    Hi Karilyn,

All my coworkers including my boss and some of my clients whom I stay close with know I had cancer. (YAY now I can say this in the past tense!) I wouldn't wear this silly wig if I only worked in the office but I'm a sales rep/consultant. Visiting them and taking care of their needs are my job so there are too many people whom I see everyday. I don't think they would say something that hurts me but I just don't want to have too many people ask me why I keep my hair that short. Or maybe only if I had a better shape of head? *lol*

My middle son is just himself, oldest doesn't listen! Middle does EXACTLY what has to be done, no more no less! But only if he is in the mood or the Fear of God(ie me and Dad) provoke him to do so!

TD is a teen, and listening is not in his vocab. I miss Theresa on days like yesterday! I would moan and complain and she would tell me "don't worry it will get Worse!" I miss her so much! TD is brilliant, yet his grades are not showing it, now he is into school but he has little time to fix his ranking!

I really think he will do well in college, but HS is tough!

    Carrie,
That happened to me the other day. I spent all this time posting to a thread, and then when I submitted it, POOF it was gone. So frustrating! I left bc.org and didn't come back for a day! Yeah, like that will fix it.

Just like American Idol - I'm so sad to see Chris go, I threatened not to watch next week. Again, yeah, like that will show 'em. LOL

Hang in there. Maybe it will all get fixed...soon?

Carrie, was that avatar you tried to upload different than the one you used to have here (a pic of lil' cute girl)? If so, email it to me so I'll see whether it's your new avatar that has probs or it's the forum.

Besides, all those glitches look to me a lot better and easier to cope with than those nasty meanness or clueless remarks that apparently continue to ruin this entire forum.

Fumi - Hope you don't mind me chiming in here ... I agree with you ... the technical glitches are way better than the the nasty, mean posts that have been posted more and more frequently ... I'm shocked by some of what I've seen - there is no reason or excuse for it in my opinion... I do not understand why people feel the need to treat people so badly sometimes ...

I want to get this project done over the summer ... so have to get going on this !!

    Tonight I'm watching Chicken Little....

Interesting how the weather changes affect our various "conditions". My LE bothers me more when the weather changes ... I think its' the change of pressure - in either direction - also bothers me more with altitude changes....

Glad to hear that your shoulder is better - I hope the pain will go away soon!

    Fumi,
Thank you sweetie it fixed it's self!
and yes it has been weird and strange in more ways than one
on the boards Denise said she does'nt know if she could stand a wig , hot flash and summer!! I saw her fling hers across the room one day it made her so frustrated.

Wendy Denise is having the same problem she said here she had typed out a soulful post and *poof* when she tryed to post it. Wendy lol about American Idol you showed them lol
One time my little sister got mad at the phone co and had her service disconnected it drove her and her family crazy not to have it but she showed them!!

    Doreen Hi!
When we have fronts come in my asthma kicks up so bad, in Ohio our weather forcast includes a pain index report according to the weather.
How exciting to be planing a new Kitchen I would love that!!

Cowgirl this threads still going so far lol lol lol

    Hugs everyone !

Hi Carrie: Interesting how the weather affects Asthma... and how the weather forecast includes a pain index... that's pretty cool! We have pollen indexes and air quality .. but no pain index.

Sure... you can live through mine ... I haven't started researching countertop, flooring or stove/vent yet ... but pretty sure I'm going to use IKEA cabinets ...
check out this thread if you want to see how my kitchen layout is going to look... I'll probably make some minor changes before the design is final.
    my kitchen design in 3D

The close to final design is towards the bottom of the page - before the post with the photos of someone elses' kitchen.

I love IKEA Cabinets! I think they are so fun to look at!

Let me show you a countertop I like I will have to find a link for it! Deep star high Definition

These are so neat they have texture yet they are laminate, I can not say how great they look up close!

I've been looking at the wilsonart website per your recommendation .. there are no dealers in my area - though there is a distributor a couple of hours away... in the same town as IKEA...
lots of decisions to make... I haven't even decided on which doorfront I want for my cabinets ... it will be one of the light ones - Nexus Birch, Adel Birch, Kalsebo beech or Bakebo light beech (I don't like the glass doors on some of them.. esp the Adel ones...) - I have a log house - and need to lighten things up (the kitchen is pretty dark...)

Cowgirl: Thanks for the suggestion and the link...
