It happens all the time in heaven,
And some day
It will begin to happen
Again on earth--
That men and women. . .
Who give each other
Light,
Often will get down on their knees
And. . . .with tears in their eyes,
Will sincerely speak, saying,
"My dear,
How can I be more loving to you;
How can I be more
Kind?"
Hafiz

This is a quote from psychologist and Nobel-winning econimist Daniel Kahnemen:
'When you analyze happiness, it turns out that the way you spend your time is extremely important. Decisions that affect how much time you spend with people you like are going to have a very large effect on how happy you are-not necessarily satisfied with your life but happy."

Not inspirational, but it helps me deal with ignorance and irritation:
I HAVE A DELETE BUTTON, AND I KNOW HOW TO USE IT.
I apply this thought to people who make silly, ignorant or hurtful comments. I just delete them from my existance, the comments I mean.
I apply this to emails I receive that I used to respond "please check Snopes.com" because they are so ridiculous and irritating.
I apply this to anything that irritates me, upsets me, or gets in my way.
