Lovey looks petite, but she weighs 10 pounds! She has a bit of a pot belly. I actually took her to the vet, who X-rayed her and said she had gas, probably from eating too fast. LOL
The new apartment is available Aug. 28th. Yay!
In other news, my doc switched me to Cymbalta and gave me a 2 week sample first. Loved it. Then she wrote the script for it and my insurance had a hissy and demanded I try Effexor first. (And people are worried that the AHA will lead to people being denied treatment prescribed by their doctor - irony, much?) After a week of Effexor, I was having crying jags, getting mad, getting offended, crying some more. The doctor tried telling the pharmacy I really needed the Cymbalta, but they insist I must take it an entire 4 weeks and then have the doctor document my SEs, and THEN they'll OK it. I went back to my doc and said the insurance company was trying to kill me, and we came up with a plan to give me enough samples of Cymbalta to get me through, then redocument my symptoms as though I'd been taking the Effexor the whole time. And they told me if I needed more, they'd call the Eli Lilly rep and they'd bring more (who says all drug companies are evil?). And then the doctor said, "This officially ends our visit, but wait for the nurse to bring in your chart before you check out." When she came in, she casually dropped the bag of samples on the table and handed me my chart without a word. These are the gymnastics doctors have to go through to get their patients the help they need? And people question that the system is in desperate need of change?
Getting off my soapbox now.

TE = Tissue Expander. No MRI's allowed!
Also like this quote (paraphrased) from a London newspaper. "Heads of States from all over the world are arrriving into London today. Mitt Romeny also arrived."
-
Glenna-that's wonderfully not boring! So glad to hear of the regression!
Mary
-
Yeah Glenna, now I know where that promiscuous Reggie went.
-
Riley, the Cymbalta website has a coupon for a 30 day supply (free). Walgreens filled mine with no questions. Hoping the insurance will approve by the time I need refill.
-
YAY Glenna. I have metal in my body because of my DBS surgery, so therefore I can't have any more MRI's. Pet and Cat scans are OK.
-
YEAH GLENNA!!
-
Glenna - Great news!
-
Glenna, great news.
Riley, my PCP gave me a year's supply of my blood pressure meds after insurance rejected paying for that particular drug. Just saw him and he wrote another script and I sent it off. Fingers crossed it will go through this time. Yeah, I love the argument about gov't interference with docs and tx. What rock have these people been living under?
Wishing Lovey will find a forever home soon.

Kam and Blue,
Thanks for answering my questions, I have it figured out now. Sounds like so many have problems getting prescribed meds. We need this fixed. It's just not right. I know my onc is in favor of the health care act but when I talk to the nurses they're afraid for their jobs. Thanks for all the warm wishes, friends! Good night for now! -
Thanks for the tip, scuttlers!
Good luck, Cherryl, and thanks. I really hope Lovey and this lady hit it off.
-

Sunflowers lives in a rural area in MA - I am sure discussion boards are especially important.
Alexandria, I wonder if you could ask Sunflowers if she can give you permission to PM me her e-mail address?

Bren
