Wednesday Weigh In
Comments
-
I was down 1.3 lbs yesterday for a total of 12.4 lbs. I went over my calorie allowance today...it is my parents' 60th wedding anniversary and I overdid on dinner and also had ice cream for dessert so I need to get back on track tomorrow!
I hope everyone has a good week!
-
1 to 2 lbs a week is great. I had been zipping along at a pound or two. Then I stalled out and didn't lose an ounce for two long weeks. Finally seem to be moving down again. 1 lb for a total of 19.
-
Down a pound to 162 - up 2, down 1, up 1.5,down 1... I am in a hover. Haven't really changed my weight much since the beginning of June. So wanting to get into the 150's, but no willpower. Sigh - well, today is another day!
-
I'm with you Pat - no gain, but no loss and stuck in a holding pattern since June. I've gotten off my normal exercise routine since it's been so darn HOT! Hoping for some cooler days . . .
-
162 down 1 lb from 7/11. How slow can you go! (c:
-
found the weight I had lost in Chicago
-
Down 300 grams. Hope this is the trend, even if it's baby steps.
-
I'm gonna start weighing in grams. Lost 300g sounds much better than it's equivilant in lbs. .... but wait a minute! The gram total is probably really scary.
Lost 1 lb. For a total of 20. 80 to go.
-
Still 135.5. At least I didn't gain. And my 4mo follow-up with my onc went fine.
-
No change - 162. Again... Feel like I'll be backsliding here before too long if I don't get my weight loss back on track. Discouraged.
-
Up .7 this week. This summer has been a total bust for diet/exercise for me. I finally got rid of the last of my 20 chemo pounds this spring, and just haven't been able to get motivated this summer to lose the remaining 10-15 pounds I need to lose. Like you, Pat, I'm getting discouraged and worry about weight creeping back up. I'm hoping once the weather cools down in fall I'll get more motivated.
Wren, congrats on the good check up!
-
Lost 2 lbs this week. 5 lbs in July and a total of 23 lbs. At this rate I may see the shady side of 200 by the end of August...
-
Up two. I have been bad all summer also. My excuse this week is that I had company and stress (brought on by the company).
-
It is really hard to keep motivated in the heat. There have been days when I headed out for a walk with the dog... He hits the grass. Pees and turns and heads back in. That's his way of telling me it's too darn hot.
-
Stayed even at 134.5. At least I didn't gain. I need to get more exercise.
-
Grrrr. Up a pound to 135.5. Perhaps Arimidex is beginning to have an effect. Or maybe I just ate more? -
Up .2. I agree Wren - grrrrrrrr!
-
Not up. But not down either. Bummer.
-
Up one. I am blaming Marybe (BCO friend) who sent me cookies!
-
159.5 A five in the middle makes me happy!

Helloooo, Weight Loss Warriors!
Sorry, been MIA.
We finally got to Transition on Optifast, where we've added in regular food to the Optifast products. Currently, I'm on 3 shakes and 1 nutritional bar a day; next week we go to 3 products a day. In addition to that, I get 6 oz of lean protein, half a cup of cooked veggies, one serving of dairy, and one serving of fruit. Next week: more food.
No one believed we could still lose weight after adding food back in. But we all did!
Last week was a milestone for me. Weighed in at 154 - down 50 pounds from my highest of 204. Lost another pound at weigh-in last night.
Will have two more weeks on program, then I have my exchange surgery....not sure how that will factor in, since I won't be able to exercise for a while. But the good news is that I will be getting plenty of protein in order to heal more quickly.
Congrats to all who have lost, and who are trying!!!!
And stay cool out there, ladies!
-
Congratulations Blessings! That is an impressive loss. You should be very proud of yourself for sticking with the program all these months.
-
Thank you, Wren.
Had to stop by my Quilt Class this morning to drop off a payment for next session.
The ladies were having our annual End-Of-Summer potluck (we name each one, LOL) and for the first time, I wasn't even tempted. And those women can COOK!!!!!
It would be a whole lot harder to stick to the Optifast program if I were just doing it out of a sense of vanity. But when my health depends on it, it's another story. Ya just do what ya gotta do.
p.s. I start Arimidex next month.
-
Good luck on the Arimidex, blessings, and congrats on the continuing weight loss. Did they tell you why one continues to lose weight after adding food? I think maybe the body is on energy conservation mode, suddenly sees it has energy to burn and does?!?!
Down 100 grams from before my summer holidays.
-
Down 1.5 pounds - woohoo! I decided last week that I needed to stop with the excuses (It's too hot! I'm tired! Work is too busy!) amd get serious again about working out daily and watching my diet better. It's nice to get some good results so quickly. I'm back to where I was in June, so that makes me feel better.
-
155 woot!
-
Great job Natsfan and adey! I am 161.5, down .5 from 2 weeks ago. I was on vacation for one of those weeks, so I consider being down anything a major victory!
While on vacation we visited with a guy we hadn't seen in 3 years - I didn't even recognize him because he has lost a major amount of weight. He did it following primal blueprint (aka caveman diet). Got my hubby really interested, he's thinking about giving it a try too. Not sure if I will join him or not, other than keeping all the no no's out of the house, but I'm a little worried about those drastic diets.
-
Grrr. No loss again this week. But I did buy a couple of skorts a size smaller than my old "usual" and I had to return them
went a size smaller with one and 2 sizes smaller with the other. Can't complain about that.
Pat01... I agree I worry about the drastic diets too. I don't think they are healthy, and I know I won't stick with them.
-
Down to 134!!! My personal best. I tried the Adkins diet once. By the end of the first week I would have killed for a green bean. Lost a lot of weight because I don't really like meat.
-
Same, but school starts next week and then I will be too busy to eat!
