Babes, I'm on a major high, just back from our Boobs n Balls Charity Bike run. Last year I did the two day event right in the middle if chemo - no hair, no teeth and lines hanging out of my arm. spent three weeks in the bed after. I am one of the co-ordinators this year and believe you me I really played the Cancer Card. All the money we raise goes to the only Cancer Care Centre (Solas) in the south East of Ireland.
Tonight the drinks are on me.

On the farm lived a chicken an a horse, both of whom loved to play together. One day the two were playing when the horse fell into a bog and began to sink. Scared for his life, the horse whinnied for the chicken to go get the farmer for help! Off the chicken ran, back to the farm. Arriving at the farm, he searched and searched for the farmer, but to no avail, for the farmer had gone to town with the only tractor. Running around, the chicken s pied the farmer's new Harley. Finding the keys in the ignition, the chicken sped off with a length of rope hoping he still had time to save his friend's life. After tying the other end to the rear bumper of the farmer's bike, the chicken then drove slowly forward and, with the aid of the powerful bike, rescued the horse! Happy and proud, the chicken rode the Harley back to the farmhouse, and the farmer was none the wiser when he returned. The friendship between the two animals was cemented: Best Buddies, Best Pals. A few weeks later, the chicken fell into a mud pit, and soon, he too, began to sink and cried out to the horse to save his life! The horse thought a moment, walked over, and straddled the large puddle. Looking underneath, he told the chicken to grab his hangy-down thingy and he would then lift him out of the pit. The chicken got a good grip, and the horse pulled him up and out, saving his life. The moral of the story? (yep, you betcha, there is a moral!) "When You're Hung Like A Horse, You Don't Need A Harley To Pick Up Chicks"

Hey hey girls. Just checking in, had a very nice and relaxing time. Saw Spider Man and Magic Mike. Alli, I'm with you on Tatum, Kathy and Shannon can have Matt. Glad your "bix up" went well.

The pellets have not affected me in a way that I was hoping for, but there is a little bit there.
Dork, thanks for all the updates on everyone. Poor Cyn, sending prayers daily for her and glad you got your car back it it too is all bixed up.
Shannon, yep...we all want to see your work. Glad you are doing well girl, you bounced right back up. Good for you.
NM, we all know what kind of "SPECAIL" you are and we are so blessed to have you as a part of our Par-Tay Group. Good luck with the new job, those patients are blessed too.
Proud Mary, are you feeling any better? Hate to hear that you are feeling poopy.
Kathy, we iz missing you goil.
Lara, indeed you could have trouble getting insurance. We are small business owners, therefore have to pay for our own insurance, and because of my having had cancer and my DH has RA, it costs us $36,000.00 a year for health insurance and will prolly go up next year, as they increase it every year. If they want to fire you at your job, perhaps you can play that "cancer card". I don't know what it means on here to "friend" someone, but I will PM you. I think it just puts them as a favorite and if we wanted to check your profile, you are there as a "friend" and wouldn't have to find you in "search".
I am totally ok with my new meds and injections. I just freaked!
Bernie/Juliet great funnies, as always. And a big congrats Bernie on your fund raiser.
Almost into Flagstaff, so will sign off for now and will see all you lovelies in the morn.

Lori, glad u are noticing something, even if it's not exactly what u thought. It took the second go for me, think it just took awhile for everything to wake up, lol. And the higher dose helped a lot. -
orla,nm is in the process of changing jobs, maybe she could give you uptodate info on the insurance

Wow girlz I will have beaucoup pages to ketchup on. Just got on my mom's ancient puter, as I have not had wifi for AGES...I miss connecting with you all. THis puter is so bad, we will junk it. Can't even transfer her photo files, as it won't recognize a memory card, etc. SO I am emailing those huge files to me and will have to download for her later. So far have spent 2 hrs yest, and 3 hrs today on it, and more to go.
HOPING Dorkie gets her dream home!!!
Alli, Shannon, Orla, Cyn, ummmmmm who else has soigery recently???....hope you are all doing mucho bettah by now!!! Thinking of you all, but I better get back to work. My mom is herself today, yay....I was bawling at the party all night as it was the first time she did not know who I was. Really broke me. So today my eyes are swollen, and am totally exhausted. The fishing club took the tents, tables, chairs down today. There were at least 80 people and we even have ribeyes and king crab legs left over....yummmmmm. There were some nice remembrances to my dad, by those that got up to speak. I know he will miss them all. Lots of wine, plus the keg of beer got emptied last night. OK, aloha nui loa, and a hui hou,
Kath

We "held court" tonight on the front deck...thats where we have Pau Hana, and so many people walk by. Everyone said what a good time they had at the party last night. One gal said her DH is fishing right now and will prolly bring us some fresh fish. Geez this 3 wks went fast, but still so much to do. Hugs to ALL!!! I need to ketchup when I can. But tomorrow is bizzy with the "walk-thru", etc. Hoping to swim at least one more time before I leave on Wed. My DH misses me terribly.....hoping he has kept the house up and I don't return to a big mess! Sue, he just got the dogs groomed, and will take them to our vet tomorrow or Tues for their annual shots. HOPE they stay clean till I get home!!!!
Hugssssssss!
