Breathe
Deep breathe in and out
The chemo is attacking that crap now .
Just think of one treatment at time . It will be over before you know it.
I never thought I woyld get through it . I did . You will too .
You can do it
Btw I can hear your accent . I love hearing different accents. -
One treatment at a time and rant away if you need to rant. You can and will get thru this....keep the faith and best of luck with the treatments.
-
Chemo is blasting away at that crap. Right now, you need to focus on getting through each treatment. The meds can play with your head, in a big way. One treatment at at time and soon this part will be over. Then on to the next. Herceptin is your friend and those 18 infusions will be done before you know it.
haha, come here to vent as much as you need to. Neighbors don't need to be seeing that yelling through the streets stuff.

My dx is similar 15 out of 36 nodes positive and her+++. it suxs right now please keep in mind that the treatments take there toll on you physically but mentally as well. I never thought it was possible to feel better ot have a day without thinking about this cancer sh**t. But like past ladies hvae said to me it does get easier. I NEVER believed it when i read it a few months back but it really, truly does. Herceptin alone is a breeze! Hair is growing back, I feel great! Still have the emotional days.....but no as often, not as bad. I never thought i would feel as good as i do now. It really is amazing how we heal and move foward, not exactly the same as before.....but happy, smiling, and enjoying my life so much more than i ever had. Hang in! You will get through this chemo....and you will your life will fall back into place again! If you ever need to talk you can inbox me at any time! Hugs and smiles!

thanks for the replies, have been a bit better last few days,my nurse rang me so i had a good moan to her too and feel better , am gearing up for chemo no 3 next friday now ,x x x
-
Hi, cornishmaid46, glad you're feeling better. A good moan is SO therapeutic. One day at a time and it'll be over before you know it. You're already on treatment #3! You go girl!
With love from the Yanks...
-
Oh, by the way, cornishmaid46, you'll laugh at this one...a few months ago, when I just needed to complain about something, I posted a topic, "Just Need to Wank."
Where I come from, "wank" means to complain or vent. Apparently it means something else where you come from.
-
Cornishmaid: How many treatments are you doing & are they recommending Taxol & radiation? Just comparing care in UK and US. Hang in there !!
-
ive had 3 fec and got 3 tax to do along with the herceptin, not looking forward to the tax ,heard some bad stuff about it ,and yeh am going have rads after chemo done with xxx
-
Hi cornish maid,
well I too am from cornwall so good luck.
I had 6 x tax with carboplatin and herceptin it is doable, rough but doable.
I also had rads to the chest wall.
I would say enjoy the cornish weather but it has just started raining here on the north coast.
Good luck.

Sorry havnt been on for a while ,thanks for the replies , well chemo done and dusted, wasnt too bad on FEC but Tax put me in hospital twice ,with nutropenia sepis the first time and the second time it irritated all my intestines ,was agony,so my onc decided not to give me the last lot of tax as she said it would put me in hospital again, and as I am on trial I was having the full whack each time apart from the second tax which they reduced it slightly but I stil ended up in hospital, have also had 15 rads, got burnt a little but not too bad, and next week I have my 8th lot of Herceptin and the placebo/pertuzamub,which apparantly might be licenced here in the next few months so if I am not alreqdy having it ,I will be able to have it if I want , best wishes to all you lovely ladies xxx
