I Come to the Garden...

Skyping is a wonderful option to actually being there. My DGS and I Skype. His mommy and daddy set him in his high chair and set the computer on the table in front of him. It was so cute the other day he was eating a cracker and I told him how yummy it looked and he tried to feed it to me.
I will keep you i my prayers. Thank God the MRI was clear.
-
chabba, thanks for the update. He is still firmly in my prayers. But isn't it a webcam thingy you need to Skype? You don't really have to buy a separate camer and microphone...do you? I have what I think might be a built-in webcam on my computer, but who knows!!
-
Webcam, yes I just couldn't think of the name.
-
Morning friends. This song really blessed me on my drive to work this morning, especially the chorus, so I wanted to share. There may be someone in your sphere that really needs to hear this, soon. Have a great Friday.

Unspoken - Who You Are
From the album Get To Me - EPI know that look you're given
Like you got something to prove
'Cause I have walked for miles and miles in that same pair of shoes
You refuse forgiveness
Like it's something to be earned
But sometimes pain's the only way that we can learn(Chorus)
You can never fall too far, so fast, so far
That you can't get back when you lost where you are
It's never too late so fast, so much that you can't change who you are
You can change who you areYou believe in freedom
But you dont know how to choose
You gotta step out of your feelings
That you're so afraid to lose
Everyday, you put your feet on the floor
You gotta walk through the door
It's never gonna be easy
But it's all worth fighting for.Chorus
Let the ashes fall wherever they land
Come back from wherever you've been
To the foot of the cross
To the feet of Jesus
The feet of JesusChorus
See, at the foot of the cross you change who you are
At the foot of the cross you change who you areYou can change who you are

Nice Joni, I've "made up" my own tune...I wonder how close I am!
-
Barbe, copy the youtube address above the lyrics & see
-
I also heard it while in the car on the way home for lunch--hmmmmmm!
-
Laurel thanking God! He is so good! Chabba will continue to pray for your brother. I love skyping or doing FaceTime with my niece. You are going to love it! Joni thanks for sharing. My sister and her family arrive tomorrow from across the country for a visit. I just can't wait to see them especially my little niece. My kids are all grown so it is such a treat to have a little one in the house again! Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Hugs to all. BTW.... My DS had a phone interview today and will be having a face to face in the next week. Thank you for the prayers... Now for my DD! Thank you Lord!
-
Thank you all for the prayers for my DB. He continues to need them. I got the webcam and got Skype up and working. Got to talk to G, His wife and daughter face to face and that was wonderful. But it broke my heart to see him so weak that he was weaving and almost fell off his chair several times when his wife got up to answer the phone. She had been siting close to him and must have been partially steadying him. May God give him the strength to heal.

Thyroid ultrasound done this Saturday morning first thing, and by 10 a.m., my doc was calling. Based on the report, I have to get some Fine Needle Aspirations. Now that's fast service for you.
chabba, continuing to keep your brother in prayer for healing and renewed strength. It is so hard to see our loved ones not feeling well. I think it is in many ways harder than being sick myself.
-
Nice quick action Laura, please keep us posted on the pathology.

Here's a link to that song Unspoken Who You Are

Well, Eph. like we were saying last night, this board seems to be pretty quiet and that's a good thing. We should know better than to say such things. Today I received a call from my brother in AZ relaying the information that my parents who are in Saskatchewan on vacation will be returning back to AZ tomorrow night as my Father has had a series of TIAs. My brother will pick them up at the airport in their car and drive them back to CA. My father is a stubborn man and come to find out he had been having TIAs since the day they left from Phoenix. It took them (My mother and Uncle, Dad's little brother) several days to get him to agree to go to a doctor. In all, it had been over five days since this started.
The doctor gave him blood thinners and told him to go home and see his own dr. Which won't be until Monday. Please pray for safe travels as they head from Canada to New Jersey, to AZ and home. Please pray for peace for our whole family and healing for Dad.
-
I'll be praying Meece. Dads can be so stubborn can't they? This has to be worrying for you all. Father God in Jesus' name I pray your healing power over Meeces Dad. I pray that these TIAs would stop and that you would heal and sooth whatever is causing this. I ask that your traveling mercies be with them as they travel home, protect and keep them. I pray that fear and stress be replaced by peace, comfort, and confidence that you are the blessed controller of all things. We thank you that you care for all the details in our lives, the big and the smallest. I pray your hand upon Meece and her family in Jesus name Amen!!!
Laural~ how are you doing? Have you had the fine needle aspirations yet. I'm praying for you too, for healing, peace, strength, and courage. Please let us know how you are doing.
Chabba how is your brother? So glad you have Skype he must have been happy to see you. What great tools we have for communication these days. Remember when it was just the telephone and snail mail?
Just to let you all know, my son got the job and starts on Monday! Thank you God! Please pray for my daughter Rochelle she too needs a job. She is a wonderful young woman who absolutely loves Jesus with every fiber of her being. She is a song writer and is part of a ministry that is trying to plant a church in the city. Needless to say they are under attack and need our prayers. I know her heart is in ministry, but she does need to earn some money. She just wants to be at a place where God can use her not just as a hardworking employee but to touch the lives of those around her for God's purposes. Thank you all and hugs to all! -
Meece, My prayers are with you and your parents.
My brother is very, very weak. He can hardly sit up at the computer to Skype, his wife has to come support him if he is in an armless chair. He did improve enough to finish his radiation tx's today and meets with the onc's tomorrow to finalize the plans for chemotherapy.
-
Thank you ladies.
-
Dear God, can you please ride shotgun with Meece's Dad to get him back home safely? I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.
Also, as a kind of p.s., could you please breathe the gift of life back in to chabba's brother? He is trying to be strong for his family, but needs a little help here. Thanks, again, Amen.
Oh, right, if you have some time later, could you help Rochelle find a job that feeds her soul with the joy of the ministry? That should be a nice, happy task for you. A quickie if you will.
Thanks again, talk to you later or TTYL....
-
Thanks barbe. I get tears of thankfulness and love when I see all the support for DB.
-
chabba, prayer is so easy to share! It helps when we have a specific direction to aim God's attention. I don't like generic praying when I have to talk about flowers and sunsets just to show I was paying attention that day. I was getting worried, too, but am afraid to ask for updates just in case you're barely holding yourself together and I come along and ask the question that makes you tumble apart...
-
barbe - I'm very, very worried. He hasn't texted me since Sunday. SIS sends innocuous texts, no information about his condition, just when he's had treatments, had appointments etc. Nothing about the appointment just things like "will see onc tomorrow to discuss plan for chemo etc. Makes me feel she is hiding something. Vague answers to direct questions.
-
Meece-unbelieveable. Prayers headed up.
I love this thread!
-
chabba, now I'm worried too! Maybe they don't want you to get too worried due to your own issues. But I'm like you, just tell it all to me. I need to know! Can you push your SIS a bit to explain more or give more specifics???
-
Sorry about the typo, that is SIL. She tends to ignore requests for specific information or else just give general answers. The first week was pretty open comunication. About all I know of recent events is that a week ago this past Tues. when his heart went into fluctuations they stopped radiation, he had 5 tx left. He has now finished radiation and starts chemo Monday. He is weak enough that a friend has loaned him an electric scooter that he is using to get around in. Yes, I worry.
-
Jesus we lift up Chabba's brother to you and ask that you touch him, heal him and give him supernatural strength. I pray you give the doctors wisdom in their care for him. I pray that you give his wife strength and energy to cope. Lord please give Chabba the answers she needs and ease her frazzled mind. Bring peace to her heart. In Jesus name amen
(((((Chabba))))) -
Barbe thank you so much for praying for my beautiful Rochelle! ((((Barbe)))
-
Strength be with your Brother G, Chabba. May he gain in strength and will.
It is 24 hours + later and my parents are stuck in Halifax due to weather delays on flights. It means they won't be back in Az until late tomorrow afternoon. DB is going to try to get a flight for them back here, and I will pick them up from the airport, and DB will drive thier car home. They do not have international calling on their cell phones, so all communication is by email. I am going to try calling Dad's Internis to get direction for appointments on Monday Morning, or seeif he should betaken to the ER once home on Saturday.
I have a MRI and Mammo on Monday which really throws a kink in things, although DB should be in town with their car by then.
On the lighter side, we had a bit of a downpour this morning and the sky was washed clean. It was beautiful, albeit muggy. God can make the ugliest clean.
-
Heard from SIL an DB today. DB is still very weak, using powered chair to get around. Is now able to eat some solid food. Finished rads, starting chemo Monday. I asked SIL to let me know the schedule and what they would be giving him. Thank you all for the prayers and please keep remembering him. He and his also sent their thanks.
-
That seems to be positive news, Chabba. Glad you got more information. (((Chabba & G))))
-
chabba, I was thinking that the fact he even wanted to be mobile on the scooter is a good thing! Your update on him eating is even better. Perhaps your SIL thinks you are checking up on her? How is your relationship normally with her?
Meece, please keep us updated on your Dad, and kcl, any news for Rochelle?
-
SIL and I have always gotten along well and love each other dearly. We have always lived a long distance apart but have become good friends in spite of that. We are much alike in so many ways, especially the way DH, DB, SIL and I share our family values. All four of us have always supported and tried to facilitate our spouses ties to their own families while also bonding those families ourselves. For example when the four of us get together she and DH make sure DB and I have time by ourselves and DB an I do the same for them.
I am looking forward to this afternoon when we plan to Skype again.
