News on Baking Soda & Cancer

I wonder if this works on the surrounding tissue first. Days after using baking soda I felt my breast and the tissue around the tumour was soft. Not only that but the tumour edges became more defined and I could finally feel the outline. For the past two and a half months this breast has been one big swollen hard mass, with a lot of pain. As I mentioned on a previous post the other day, I've stopped taking the pain killers since using the baking soda.
There is a bit of pain right after I use it, but for the rest of the day and night, it's relief. I don't want to say that the tumour has shrunk yet but I wish I had started earlier because I'm due for my first bout of chemo this week. I'm curious to know if there would have been any further changes.
I started using it because they were taking so long to get me into chemo that I felt as if I had to try something to help mayself, thus Goggled it last week. I'm due for my scans this week so I hope that I don't light up like a Christmas tree, lol.

Hopee999, how much do you take and how do you drink it?
-
WOW! Hopee999, everything happens for a reason. If you got such dramatic results after only doing the baking soda maple syrup protocol for a week, I would think that continuing for much longer would yield even more positive results.
In principle, the baking soda and maple syrup protocol is very similar to Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT). I don't know if you know this. In IPT, insulin is injected in the cancer patient to deplete the blood of all sugar then injecting a lower dose of chemo drugs (10% of the standard dose). During the low peak, the receptors are more sensitive and take on medications more effectively. In this video Dr. Walter Lemmo discusses the history and application of insulin potentiated therapy in cancer care much better than I can . www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHrKcdSRjFo
By integrating IPT into a protocol that includes a healthy, organic diet, free of processed food and sugar, along with an individualized nutritional regimen to heal the body. Apparently some doctors are able to heal up to 60% of their terminally-ill patients. This is because natural IPT regimens not only kill cancer cells in a targeted fashion, but also strengthen the body and immune system, which is pretty much destroyed by conventional treatments. There was a woman on this board whose screen name is "wornoutmom". She is currently using IPT and having amazing success to say the least (and she is not alone).
The baking soda maple syrup treatment works in reverse to IPT. Greedy cancer cells devour the sugar. The sugar is not going to end up encouraging the further growth of the cancer colonies because the baking soda is going to kill the cells before they even have a chance to grow.
Thanks for sharing your results.

Hope999, You are right about the surrounding cells being affected. I've read quite a bit of research about the tumour environment. I'm afraid I don't have the time or space to describe the excellent but ongoing findings here. The cell micro-environment is now a major focus of research. Metformin, anti-oxidants, Ph, inflammation and more are all part of the research. Many of the discoveries will also impact many other medical conditions so this is groundbreaking work.
It's a shame there wasn't more research in this area following Otto Warburg's discoveries, but that's how research goes, with more emphasis in looking for the big guns to destroy cancer cells rather than finding a way to convert wayward cells back to normal.
Thanks for your excellent feedback. We need more people who are willing to try alternatives while waiting for other treatments as they can feel the effects on their tumours.

Don't laugh, but I think it's working!! Before I would walk around holding my breast but now I run around the house with no pain, and no bra, lol. And the tumour seems to be going down some. Not only that but the nodes under my arms are no longer bothering me. It's hard to describe how the breast used to feel sometimes, but imagine road rash on your knee that has a scab. When you stretch your knee it has that itchy hurt feeling. That's how my breast felt. But that could also be my squamous cells.
I hate to say how I take it because it should be done properly, but I just pour some to cover the bottom of a tall glass and fill it with a bit of warm water (try to use pure water if you can). Swish it around to mix it and then fill the glass with tepid water. If it's too warm it may act like a laxative. It shouldn't taste too salty either. I take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
When I first started using it I was applying a paste of it and water but it was TOO painful! But it must have had some effect because as I said, it was days later that I could feel the improvement. To prove that I wasn't dreaming I would keep feeling it. One time I was walking in public and pretended to adjust my bra strap just to cop a feel of my boob, lol.
My oncologist (and 3 other doctors) measured my top tumour (I'm multifocal) at 7cm and said that she was taking the top measurement. I had no idea what she was talking about because it felt like one big mass. But then the larger step below it became more distinct as I drank it. I had scans 5 days ago but won't know the results until this week (please wish me luck - the next stage for me is not the one I really want to be in right now).
7cm - now 6.1cm
Before yesterday I could feel the larger step underneath, but now it's blended in with my normal tissue. Unbelievable. Now I wish I had a witness, lol. It did stay at 7cm for a while, then went down in increments of 2mm.
But this may be my last day of using it because I'm scheduled to start my first ever round of chemo tomorrow morning.
My biggest worry is that at one time I could feel pain in other spots after I drank it, such as the top of my right breast, nodes under both arms, and the hip on the affected side. Hopefully it's not spots where it has metastasized.
I think this has some merit and I'm still vexed at myself for not trying it earlier but I was so resistant to people telling me what to do, that I shut out all other methods while waiting for chemo.
P.S. I bought the maple syrup but never used it.
-
Hope -This sounds so exciting!! I am a bit confused tho' - if you're not using the maple syrup, are you just using baking soda?
Bless you as you start chemotherapy tomorrow. We will be thinking of you and hoping for rapid response with a minimum of side effects
I wonder if this protocol would be helpful in preventing a recurrence or discouraging mets......?
Peace.

Thank you!
Just wanted to add more info before the chemo brain kicks in.
When it finally started to shrink I had started eating a new breakfast of Cornflakes, low fat milk and dark brown sugar (was on the verge of quitting). I was praising the milk but now I realize that it's probably the brown sugar.
Also, it was spreading in a V-shape towards my armpit. That's gone from 7cm to 5cm.
It was flat and very, very hard before (emergency room doctor seemed alarmed at this), now it's still a bit hard but lumpy. It's rounded out now.
When I measure I use a small dressmaker's sliding rule that has the pointed triangles sticking down and I lie on my back with my arm above my head.
-
Hope, what kind of baking soda do you use?
-
Thank you! My first chemo went very well and aside from some slight nausea and horrible taste in my mouth at first, I'm fine!
Arm & Hammer baking soda, yellow box, made in Princeton NJ. Going to just push out the info and maybe someone can make heads or tails of it later.
Measured right before I went to chemo and it was down to 5.9cm. That was 4 days ago and it's still 5.9. But the width going to the armpit is 4.5cm. It seems like the chemo is picking up from where the baking soda left off because it's even more lumpy with more defined lumps. What's ironic is that it's the exact same type of throbbing pain for both the BS and chemo, but I have to admit that the chemo pain was a tad bit stronger. I felt it in all the same spots as the BS but the right, unaffected breast, only lasted for a short time.
Being that the type of cancer I have has a high reoccurence rate, once I've finished all my treatments I've decided to drink the baking soda solution at least once a month to see if I feel any 'hot spots'. This could help diagnose any potentials creeping up.
I'm using the BS solution to rinse out my mouth after every meal, and so far no sore mouth.
-
Dear Eve,
Are you able to refrigerate the mixture once it is made? -
Hope,
how is it that your type of cancer has a high reoccurance rate? What are the details that make them say this?
Just curious
-
Sorry everybody but I just found this thread and it is a little off topic, although still related to BS. I became so frustrated looking for a "natural deodorizer". I did a lot of research
and I now use just plain old BS and it actually works better for me than my old stuff I used to use. You just have to apply when your skin is still moist. -
Sorry Cindi2011, just seeing this. I've updated my signature line that will show a few things that can cause reoccurrences. The tumour mentioned above ended up being fluid filled with numerous foci - also a hard, malignant shell, so I'm not sure how the baking soda helped to reduce it, but it did.
-
This all sounds extremely encouraging and definitely worth trying! I have a question, sort of related to this. I have just started drinking alkaline water. I used to drink purified by reverse osmosis. I bought cases of it from kmart, the cheapest I have found. Well the alkaline water is a lot more expensive, and I have read that baking soda will make the water alkaline. Would it be just as good to add a little bs to the purified water rather than buying the expensive alkaline water? Most of the alkaline water is spring water, which I don't like the taste of as much as the purified, but I can deal with it for the health benefits. Also, my parents are going to buy me an under the sink reverse osmosis filter for Christmas. But idk if that's worthwhile if I'm going to be buying alkaline water. If I'm going to add bs to it then it will definitely be worth it. So what do you all think of just assing the bs? Thanks everyone! Oh one more thing, when shopping for the alk water, even though most of it was spring water but one of them had a list of ingredients and bs was one of them.
-
HLB, I would say save your money. Your stomach acid will neutralize the pH of the water so it really doesn’t do anything once it hits your stomach.
-
I had ph strips and tested my urine after drinking 10 alkaline water and my ph came out 9.0. I started feeling funny and had to eat something to incease acidic ph, so had some beans and chocolate, and felt much better. I don't think it gets neutralized completely in the stomach because of this experience I had.

Thankyou for this thread, and I will be watching how things go with it. I have heard this subject cop a lot of flack, but as far as Im concerned the proof is in the pudding. I heard about BS and Lemon (as separate subjects) some time ago and how they are beneficially relevant in altering the ph level which is an important factor in tumor growth.
Quite some time ago I ditched toothpaste with all the plethora of poisons in it's mix, and gone to using baking soda instead. I'm convinced a lot of these modernized household cleaners etc etc, are not good and full of toxins. Seems like baking soda was something I heard of way back when.
Question. ( Sorry if it's dumb) but what actually is baking soda made out of. Is it a natural product or what?
-
Lightandwind, if you flood your system, you can probably override the righting mechanism. Problem is that if you manage to do that successfully, you could die.
