Sunflowers - you are right - scared less often now but still anxious.
I had my 3 month check up today and the oncologist said I could come every 6 months from here on out unless I felt something "odd"
I did get my pharmacy restocked

-
Woo hoo scoot.
I went t every 6 months after 5 years but I have one of those aggresive oncs and I lve him.
-
They don't like doing mammos here more than once a year. Too much radiation but I did get ultrasounds every 6 months for 2 yrs. I guess it depends on individual circumstances. I was stage 1 ILC which was picked up on ultrasound.
-
Scoot, congratulations on your good news. Kira, you as well. I'm a lurker on this site since Scoot told me about it last fall. Love you all and your humor!! Spent 4 hours today reading the posts on "that" thread. I hate confrontation but am proud of you all and your willingness to take a stand for what you believe!! Call me a wimp but I'll be cheering you on in my own quiet, behind the scenes way!!
-
Welcome Glenna. I'm glad you enjoy our antics.
-
Glenna! So happy to see you here! We are nuts but we have fun. Come join our Brussels sprouts -spangled scooter gang whenever you want! I sure hope you can paint daisies...
-
Welcome, Glenna! This group is alifrsaver for me. Times are hard. Join us for happy hour. I say my ignore settings are the secret to my success. Our bartender is unmatched.
-
Neither mammo nor ultrasound found my cancer. My breast tissue was so dense it was apparently hiding Sadam Hussein's wmd's. They weren't detected either.
I got rid of those traitorous appendages and now have permaboobs. Not as good as the real thing BUT they're not assassins either.
I get either PET/CT or CT scans every six months and visit the Dr every three. Scan results take about two days. Seems we're all across the board on speed of treatment, eh? -
Scoot, whohoo for you. Made myself a lemonade and bluebery vodka, cause I had a rough day. Got on here and saw your good news. Raising a glass in your honor!!
-
I have to get some of that, cherryl. It sounds like the best drink ever!
-
Yes. I had a bmx and recon so no scans. Onl y a cursory physical and bloodwork every six months. That's fine with me. I am rather stoic.
-
What's your new avatar scoot - phone does not show it clearly....
Pastor, sorry you had a bad day! -
Scoot - is that your horse??? Lovely, but I did like your guinea pig
-
It happens! Feeling better, though. Thanks for the good thoughts.
-
My God I have the worst eyes - it's seabiscuit - our gold medal hope. Are you back to riding?
-
Nope. No riding for another five weeks. I did get up on a horse and have someone lead me around (the Dr said I could do that much) and I am pleased to report no psycho issues. Plus the pain was minimal.
I am having a pro trainer come out and get him started for me. His first lesson was today and he was a very good boy. One step closer to that gold medal! -
OK, I've already bombarded my FB friends with my new favorite TV show (I just might like it more than "Grey's Anatomy," which is a LOT). "The Newsroom" on HBO ... O.M.G. AWESOME, in the original sense of the word! What we want news to be ... What we think news should be .... YOWZA! I can't get enough of it .... Aaron Sorkin (creator of "The West Wing," or the White House as we wanted it to be!) is the creator of "The Newsroom." Just amazing.
OK, rave /off. Not gonna say anything about anywhere else because the "I got mine, screw anyone else" meme doesn't do it for me.
Bartender, I'll have what you're having -- I need to calm down before I go to bed!
And welcome, new members. It's pretty easy to figure out what we're all about... Glad to see new faces!
L -
And yes, my horse is now my avatar. I love taking photos from the nose up - it always cracks me up!
-
Mamma and her sweetheart!

-
Awwww! So glad she's doing better!
-
Name??
-
My green thumb!

-
Lazy Liberals!

-
Thanks for the warm welcome. I promise to be easy on the bartender .... It's red wine for me. I can't paint daisies or grow plants ... Sorry. I am finishing up a baby quilt for my 5 month old granddaughter so maybe that will count for something. LOL!
-
awwwweeeee!
-
Glenna - tie that quilt around your neck and you'll be a Superhero on a Scooter (TM).
:-) -
-
OMG, the picture is too funny. I need a scooter! I need a scooter!!
-
Glenna-welcome! I don't grow plants either! I would say the baby quilt counts for a lot! I am quite frequently just a lurker here as well. I am just in awe of the wisdom of this group. I think you'll like it here.
Blue-I love your lazy liberals!
