Happy 4th of July Girls/The SCAR Project

Had to wish everyone a happy 4th today and hope you are all doing well.  I'm finding myself on the boards less and less these days but I think of you all often and thank my lucky stars I found you all while I was in the midst of my many crises (I'm sure I'll be freaking out about something again in the future).  I just need some time away from all of this, and TRY to pretend I'm normal again. 

Although I did attend a very moving event in DC recently called the SCAR project.  Photographer David Jay has photographed many survivors who are brave to share their scars to the world.  I actually bumped in to him alone on the way in to the event and he is just a lovely man.  His work just resonates with me.  They will be having a big show here in DC in October and I have already volunteered my services. This man just gets it.  Please if you have time visit www.thescarproject.org to see some of his incredible work.  Be advised however, that the pictures are very graphic (though magnificently done) and if you are in a tough place right now this might not be the best site to visit.
