I Come to the Garden...

It has been very quiet on here...hope that means you are all out enjoying summer gardens.
Chabba...how did your brother's scans work out? Been praying.
Just wanted to share this picture with you all....
-
Thank you Laural. He continues to need prayer, the scan was not good news at all. They had a base line to compare to, one taken of the same area in December for another problem. There was no visible mass or tumor at that time. Now he has a major growth that has encircled and is crushing his larynx, esophagus and trachea. His airway in constricted to about a quarter of an inch and his left lung is partially collapsed from the pressure. They rushed through a partial biopsy, the full report is due Thursday. The partial showed an extremely aggressive type which is however quite susceptible to radiation so within 4 hours they gave him his first treatment. It doesn't look good but we will have more information Thursday. And I know for certain that God answers prayers and miracles do happen, Brother and I have both had miracles in our lives before.

chabba, i continue to pray for you and your brother.. i'm so sorry he's so ill...3jays
-
I will keep you, your brother and your family in my prayers, Chabba.
-
Thanks 3jays and Meece. Just heard from SIL, now he is suffering from a recurrence of Shingles! Not what he needs to deal with just now.
-
Chabba, I will try to focus more now & get some prayers routed heavenward for your brother.
Thanks girls, for everything. The service Saturday was beautiful, but extremely hard. Trying to get back to somewhat normal & now I'm sick-bad, bad, bad sore throat. went to immediate care today-strep culture negaitve so they say post-nasal drip from so much crying-I say no way, give me antibiotics-they did.
-
Chabba so sorry your brother, you, and your family have to go through this! My prayers are with you all! Joni glad the service for your mom was beautiful! I'm so sorry you are feeling sick. Glad you pushed for the antibiotics. Grief or severe stress can lower your immune system so you may have picked something up. I will continue to lift you up in prayer. (((((((Chabba))))))) ((((((((Joni)))))))
-
Joni I too continue to pray for you. I know how long the pain of losing a Mother can continue. Thank you for remembering my Brother in your prayers.
-
Joni - I have been neglectful in not sending sooner my heartfelt prayers for you and your family. So sorry you are under the weather.
Chabba - Prayers for your brother.
And (((((HUGS))))) to both of you.
-
Thanks luv. And I needed those hugs tonight. As is DB didn't already have enough on his plate, his shingles have flared up again.

More prayers for all the ladies in the garden.
Matt started a new job last week and has been doing well and so happy. Yesterday he turned his ankle (the one he had aready had surgery on) and he is now off work for a week. His girlfriend has been good for him, but now she is pushing to move in with him and to get married. He had told her her would not propose until after his brother gets married in 4 1/2 months. She sas she doesn't care about his brothers wedding, she wants to be engaged. They have been dating 9 months. With that being said, please pray for healing for Matt's ankle so his job won't be in jeopardy and for maturing and His will in Matt's relationship.
-
Still praying for all.
Had my prayer group over this am. One of the ladies brought me a new cd. Passion Live.
"Lift your voices, loud and clear, God is near!!!!!!!!"
I'm singing out!!!!
I need to get myself a new box of crayons.
-
Although his foot and ankle look horrible, Matt has been cleared to return to work. Praise the Lord. I figure it is the Cumadin that caused such a huge swelling bruise. It looks like someone sliced a baseball in half and slipped it under his skin. Thank you for your prayers.
Still working on the second prayer request, adding that I need tohave patience and grace in regards to the young woman in Matt's life. It isn't easy at this time.
-
Please continue to include my brother G in your prayers. His condition is deteriorating, and he is now hospitalized with an irregular heartbeat that is not responding to treatment.
-
Still praying, chabba, for God's continued presence and peace at this very difficult time.
I had a PET scan yesterday and today was notified that the thyroid area and lymph nodes lit up like a Christmas tree. More testing ahead, but trusting that God is already taking care of all the details. I at least have a new oncologist who is willing to listen to his patients. Prayers would be most appreciated. I go back to the oncologist on Thursday for the next steps in the plan.
-
Chabba & Laura, prayers continue.
Meece, how's Matt?
-
Thank you both. I'll be praying for you too Laural. I think my sub-consious is setting off an alarm every ten min today to signal prayer time.
-
Prayers for both Chabba and brother G. Peace be with you both.
Laural, may the time between now and your appointment pass quickly and may God guide your physician.
Matt and his GF and Zak & his fiance came for dinner last night. I went to my sewing room to put something away. He followed me and closed the door behind us. He is torn about this relationship. His GF panicked when she saw we were behind closed doors. Matt is coming back, by himself, on Thursday so we can talk more. It is very complicated. Please keep him in your prayers.
-
Oh dear, so much grief!! I apologize for being absent when so many needed prayer. Joni, I already PM'd you asking about your Mom, but can tell from this page that she passed. The last I read was a glorious elephant ride, so I'm sure she had great memories to think of as she was 'waiting'.
Chabba, your dear brother is in my prayers, please let us know how he is doing.
Meece, any woman that doesn't want to see her boyfriend behind closed doors with his mother will always be a problem. Is she the first love since Okinawa? He is still young, she should not be pressuring him like that. Oh dear.
Forgive me my dear sisters for my absence, I am ashamed that I have deserted you but see that the circle of love and prayers continued as strongly as ever.
Hugs and love to all.
-
Chabba laurel and Meece you are all in my fervent prayers!
I have two children that really need jobs. Please pray. It is still hard for the young adults out there.
Barbe it is soooooooo good to "see" you! No worries every now and then we just need a break!
Thinking and praying for you all! Hugs -
FYI-back to my post about sore throat & them saying it was from post-nasal drip from crying. No-it was a different grade of strep than what the instant test can detect, but since I'd insisted on antibiotics, I was ahead of the game! Throat is much better.
To all my garden girls-thank you so much for your prayers. I could use a couple arrow prayers to heaven for peace when you happen to think of me, but I relinquish my need for continual prayer-for now anyway. Lets get Chabba's brother's situation forefront & follow that with the needs of Meece & kcl's kids, as well as ALL our kids.
Lord, I come to you right now, asking your love & protection for G. Cover him with your grace & peace as he battles his illnesses. Let Chabba know you are a very present help in her time of need. We know that you are the Father of all, and we have children of yours who need you right now for a variety of reasons: relationship puzzles, jobs, schooling, health, and most certainly to know you are their Father-I lift the kids to you now. As I review this page, I remember Laural, who writes such beautiful verses, needs your care today, Lord. Be with her tomorrow when she returns to the doctor. If healing is your Will, I ask that be done. Thank you for being with us in our times of sorrow & pain. Help us to always remember to give thanks when the times are happy & fruitful. You are my King, and I give you Praise. Amen.
-
Amen.

I'm praying my dear sisters!! Hugs to all

PET scan shows need for thyroid ultrasound but otherwise no cancer spread detected...God is good. Thanks for your prayers.
-
Thanking God, Laural, thanks for the update! I just had the rest of my thyroid out in February. It's VERY do-able.
-
Praise the Lord, Laural. That is possitive news!
-
Thank you for your prayers for my brother. He had also developed persistent severe headaches so last night at 6 pm their time they took him in for an MRI of the brain. Got the results of that this morning, all clear thankfully. They got his heart stabilized and he is responding to oral meds again and so sent him home this evening. Please keep him in your prayers, he has a long, difficult way to go yet.
I want very much to go to him but it is a long flight and I am terrified of flying and have other health problems than those I've discussed anywhere other than with my Dr and DH that also complicate traveling. When I told my SIL I was trying to get hold of my Dr to discuss what kind of arrangements to make she said they had talked about it and though they want to see me very much they thought instead I should set up a Skype account--so I am off to town (only 30 miles away) to buy a camera and microphone to hook up to my computer. Learned to text two weeks ago and now I'm going to Skype!
