Hello everyone........
Finally getting over a terrible cold.....got it from sharing food goodies with my grandchildren, which I know better than to do, but do it anyway. I'll learn sometime!
Been a little down lately.....
A beautiful sister from another group of "sisters" is now an ♥ Angel ♥ & it has hit me hard .... And I found out today that another beautiful sister from this same group has mets....again... and I am so scared for her...
Sometimes I feel it's better to stay away than to put too much of myself 'out there' & I don't want to scare any of the new gals talking about my 'deep' feelings.......... or maybe I just don't want to scare myself by putting 'pen to paper' or 'typing to cyber-space'.
I always wish the best for all of you & my heart goes out to the new gals reaching out to those of us here who have 'been there, done that'.
I'm in the group hugggg, if there's room.

Thanks for the call out---am here ... was in NJ for the week end - dinosaur field station was fantastic - go if you have kids and are within an hour or two. It's right off 95.
Back to NJ on Tuesday to attend DGD's adorable dance recital and pre schoo graduation next day. Then no internet at home...and feeling pretty awful after going back on Femara. Also a persistent pain in lower left abdomen...earliest appointment is July 10th. Not an emergency yet.
Val - good to see you...I know what you mean about the heartbreaking things we experience here and in our daily lives. Too many women are suffering; too many women lost.
Sheila, stop making me jealous with your beautiful pics...
Kaara, I enjoy reading your posts from your summer retreat....it sounds so peaceful.
Wow I miss everyone when I'm away from here.
Welcome to anyone who is new....sorry you have to join here but hope you can find the support you need.

Granny, you sounded so good then so down.....
Ducky, you too...after a good few days..
So sorry to hear that BC keeps giving you pain and worry above and beyond the usual.
I am all for meeting, tho my calendar is getting full of medical stuff and a 2 week trip.
I had my last full day of work until Aug. 15th and it feels great. Does anyone want to meet this summer? And again in Sept.? I'll go anywhere and (as you know I have offered) I can pick anyone up along the way
....or..... a train ride from NY would bring y'all to a sleepover at my house and a day at the beach.
Meanwhile, I'm in for the group hug! -
Hey Granny..................how about a Hazmate Suit................lol.........................sorry girlfriend, couldn't resist that one.............so glad its not LE.......................I'm wearing my sleeve again...........trying to be a "good girl"..........and made an appt. with the LE therapist for next thursday....................gonna start all over again, and see if we can get it right this time......................she was good, great in fact.........it was the other "assholes" who tried to do the fitting.................maybe this time we will get someone who knows what the hell they are doing.......................hey , I can always "hope" right..............isn't that all we have................just happy for you Granny Girl..............have a great weekend..............................no shore for me this weekend, and it is going to be gorgeous...............kids had things to do..............
Said on another thread.........went to my grandson's graduation last night, and he got 6 awards...........Perfect attendance.........Science and Math award..............History Award..............President's award...............Award for having a 4.0 GPA throughout Middle School.............and the best one......................Outstanding Student of the Year Award...................my daughter and her husband have done a tremendous job, and I made sure I told them.............he is just a kind, loving, and humble boy...............and a fantastic golfer at 13 years old............proud to say I have taken care of him while she works from when he was born, till he went to school, then after school, and all summer long...................how lucky am I.............plus his younger sister, who is just like him..............................God is good.
-
Joan---soo glad you showed up...When you are in my neighborhood why dont you let me know.I dont work and most times just a day or 2 notice is good for me.Im waiting for an appt.for an US of my breast and a dopler US of my arm.Im nearly positive its the edema. The swelling is nearly gone. And so is the pain.
Val----was hoping you would show up sista...There is always room for you in the group hugggggggg.we havnt started it yet.Waiting for Annette to show.Im so sorry we have another angel. We all hurt when we lose someone to this ugly monster. And all i have been hearing is mets and reoccurances....

Good afternoon everyone. Its a beautiful day in NJ.

valjean I know what you mean. I have a friend from high school that I just found out today that his wife's BC has turned to mets. I am so sad for them as she is so young. I really makes me sad because I know what the reality of mets is.
-
Ducky, I never knew there was such a person as an LE therapist...but today I was driving in the next town over and saw a medical office with a sign that said "Lymphodema Therapist'.....Does this really help? I would like to go just for my tenderness and stiffness in 2 surgical areas; and to learn how to avoid LE.
Hope it goes well....
Granny, good luck with your scans. I hope it's nothin'!
Hugs,
Joan -
Morning ladies! Happy Father's Day to all the DH's and SO's out there! My birthday falls on Father's Day this year, so I'm going to the store and buy myself a big piece of red velvet cake and a pint of Bluebell homemade vanilla ice cream and eat the entire thing! I deserve it! That goodness our grocery sells the cake in slices or I would buy and eat the entire cake! It's been ages since I had dessert....trying to stay off sugar.
The weather continues to stay so beautiful here in NC...it's the reason we come here in the summer. My yard is looking pretty good...finally got a guy over to trim the big bushes that I couldn't get to. I have a butterfly bush that grew into a tree over the winter, but he couldn't take it down because it was filled with honeybees and we didn't want to disturb them, so I will have to look at this big overgrown shrub for another month or so until the blooms and bees go away! Wish I could post photos of some of my flowers, but don't know how...I'm technically challenged!
Have a great day everyone! Stay happy!
-
Happy Birthday Kaara - enjoy that cake and ice cream!
-
Happy Birthday Kaara!
NC sounds great ..I am looking to get out of N.E. How is the housing market there ?
-
Happy Birthday Kaara.........have a wonderful day....................
Joan.......I do belive it helps........if you have even the slightest idea it might be something, let someone check it out.........it only gets worse..........I went right away as soon as I thought I had LE, mine never got real big, but because I decided to be a "slacker", now it is larger......completely my fault.............so be careful...........hugs.
-
Thanks for all the birthday wishes ladies!
purple: The housing market here in NC is slow if you're selling, but good if you're buying because prices are way down. There is a home around the corner from me with an awesome view that is selling for a lot less than the people paid for it several years ago.

Happy Birthday Kaara.Have a great day!!!

Happy Birthday KAARA! I love red velvet cake and Blue Bell ice cream. Did you know that there is a Red Velvet Cake Ice Cream made by Blue Bell? Oh it is pure sin, lol.
I hope you've had a good day!
-
Happy Birthday Kaara!

It feels weird..........
-
Hope your new MO is great!
-
Happy Birthday Kaara! I hope you had a beautiful day.
-
Thank you ladies for all the wonderful birthday wishes! One year older at my age is a big thrill! Well, after all my talk, I didn't even have my cake and ice cream...I was too full from dinner and popcorn at the movies! I will have it this evening while watching The Bachelorette...lol....romance and dessert...what could be better. I know it's a silly show, but I'm an incurable romantic, and I love watching all those guys competing for Emily's heart. Even my BF likes this show...he will watch it with me...hard to believe but he's a romantic too!
Happy Monday everyone!
-
Sheila hope you like your new MO
