yikes, another new system to learn
-
yeah, it sure seems weird, but anything you use enough gets familiar.. i wonder why they had to change it?....3jays
-
I do not like it. Maybe this is the final push to leave BCO. I will drop by and say HI but I think I am done.
-
We hope you don't leave, and give it a try. We are truly trying to make the necessary adjustments!!!!
-
Barbara A........I agree with you............this is ridiculous............why adjust what was working fine...........wasn't there something else more productive they could have done.
-
Mods.please make this print larger when we input it...I can hardly see it ..also
a place to add a photo from android..
Why waste all that space to the left..??
-
I am not crazy about it either. But I figure I will get used to it as I have with other changes.
-
I'm trying.
-
It's changed about 3 or 4 times since I first joined. Lisa the print for me is a great size so much bigger than before. Just checked and it's about arial 12 size.
Must go and do some work that is after I have sorted out my shoes and my bedroom. Haven't done much since we got back as we all had such a bad stomach bug, really severe.
Had lovely cuddle of new great niece Ayla Beth last night, new babies are so lovely. Must get on and finish the cardigan I am knitting for her.
Big hugs.
-
you know better, alyson.. we need pictures..lol
barbara: what was the point of being here? to reach others who identify, right?? we're still here, and still need you all.. we'll learn to adjust, and hopefully, the mods aren't done yet!!!i increased the size of the print on MY computer, so i can see.. love to you all....3jays

Ossa, How difficult to leave food when you haven't eaten past midnight! We will be there. (((HUGS)))
-
Ossa....hope all went well...we are either 5 or 6 hours infront of you , so it's about 5 hours since your surgery was scheduled, so I'll just be strolling around to see how you are !
Isabella.

Isabella you are 8 hours ahead of me.. I am on the west coast.. Surgery went well. Time to heal Surgeon had fun during surgery. He enjoyed the pocket party and appreciated the piece of chocolate pie someone left him
-

-

-

Where is everyone. I know I have been missing in action for a few days but no-one is here?
-
Got results of my Muga scan today...... well... Herceptin treatment is again delayed... EF dropped even lower now at 47% that is a total drop if 14% since start of treatment.. Now being referred to cardiologist for assessment.. Will have another Muga scan in 4 weeks to see if there is a change and hopefully it will show an increase in EF so I can continue Herceptin
-
i've been wondering where everyone went, also, Allyson..Ossa: here's hoping the muga will be better, and you'll be able to move on............3jays
-
I've been hoping everyone was just busy with spring (or fall in the So. Hemisphere)...
But have been concerned for BarbA and hoping life is easier these days.
By evening I'm not too lively but have been busy during the days with yardwork and am enjoying being outside. Flowers are starting to bloom, the veg-garden is mostly planted and we are working hard to keep the birds out of the ripening berries. This will be the first year for our fruit trees and we are anxious to taste them!
DH retired last year but is "consulting" - so tomorrow we have an overnight guest while the men brainstorm a construction project. Guess I'll be cooking & washing up. At least the spare room is now my sewing room, and we will remove the cutting table and put in a cot. Not as cozy as last year when spare room was a guest room with a full double bed, so maybe next time they'll put up the fellow in a motel or he'll choose it! As is, today is housework for me.
I did get the text for the historical marker for my ancestress off to Ky Hist. Marker folks, and got the $2500 raised for the marker, now just waiting for approval from Ky Hist Marker folks. It was difficult to reduce the life of this remarkable woman to 660 characters including spaces & punctuation! Like I told my family, it's a good thing I know so many four letter words. Hah! Fingers xxed for approval.
That's about it for me for today, but am waiting on a call for an appt with ortho-doc for my shoulder
Ossa, I hope the muga is better and the cardio can give you an all clear....
3jays I hope you're feeling better.
Ditto BarbA!!!!
-
Lost- glad to hear you finally got the wording done for the marker. I am sure that was difficult to do. Here's hoping the approval will come quickly.
I was just stopping by to see how everyone is doing. Have a good week everyone. -
HI all, I am still really hating my job and I guess it must show because I got the 90 day 'shape up or ship out' letter. It is just their way to get rid of older people. My friend LouAnn got one 6 months ago. So it is only a matter of time. It will be a relief. I decided I would try any job. A career change would be fine at this stage.
-
Awe Barb that stinks! Why can't these businesses be honest........I guess that would bring a whole lot of litigation.
Do you still have to work or is it a choice thing? Hope you manage to find something else sooner rather than later.
Love n hugs. Chrissy
-
Barbara that is the pits - big hugs. Do hope you can find something you will enjoy.
-
oh, Barbara: its a thing they do now.. mur gets an offer to retire, like every 90 days, of course, no ins is part of the package!!like he's gonna leave, with no ins..
i know its' your issue, too..so im prayin fer ya, sista!!!!3jays
-
Barb...sorry about your letter...the barstewards...whether you expected it or not it must still upset you seeing it written down.
What do you fancy doing next ? Why not try something mindless now...just a job to keep the cash flowing ! That way you won't be stewing all hours working your backside off for your company. Could your flare up of stomach ulcer be with the stress of the job as it has been for the last few months.
I have been quiet lately, I am loading anything and everything onto eBay. I started a month or two ago clearing out books, that I will never, ever, read again, that no-one wants to take from me...so into the bin they've gone. I'm now into my kitchen cupboards, and clothes. Kitchenalia sells so well, and I have found tons and tons( exageration here !) in the kitchen and sheds outside. I pulled up a big live- in unit for the girls who have helped me in the kennels over the years to have their breaks in, its been un-used now for a couple of years, and I had just filled it up with junk. Almost everytime DD came I have asked her to take something or other outside into the unit, and now each time she comes I have been asking her to go and fetch me something to put on eBay! I have been getting good prices for some good jackets that I was hoarding...I am never going to doll myself up in jackets skirts and heels again !! (mainly because I can't stand upright in heels anymore !) and a decent outfit does look sort of ridiculous with a pair of clompy shoes, the only sort I can walk far in nowadays.
I've also been going thru lots of papers that I thought would be needed at some point...and for at least 30 years I haven't even looked thru' them. Lots of bonfires here ! Lots of photo's to clear up, and write on the back just WHO on earth they are...no-one seems to want them now, but one day maybe some grandchild or other may show an interest in their ancestors. DD had a look in a box last week, and she just kept asking 'who is this'...she has no idea, and no interest really.
I have had a serious lawn mower malfunction over the w/end. I have 3...and 2 broke down over the w/end, and the third had mysteriously lost the key to start it with. I was running around looking for belts and whatever I needed to get them back on the road again...not the time of year to be without a mower. I had someone come today to sort them all out...goodness knows what his bill will be when he sends it, he was here @10am until just about 3pm. The one which I refer to as the 'spare' mower is always parked up in a building on the farm, and hasn't been out since last September....it is just that, a spare...but I suddenly thought who had it last...DH !! I rang him to ask where he had put the keys when he put it away, and he said ' I told you I'd forgotten where I 'd put them... and that maybe you should get some spares' I was spitting feathers at him again...this was the first I had heard the keys were gone....and just one stroke of luck for me today..my lawnmower mender had a key that fitted. So first job in the morning get someone on cutting all my overgrown grass. Its suprising just how much all the rain we have had has made the grass grow. I have been able to make about 400 bales of silage over the last few days of good weather. Well, not all me doing it, I have had to get contractors in to help. I spent much of Sunday bringing most of the bales in myself, and most of today paying for being so stupid !!! I have hardly been able to move, have seized up, so had a lazy day...well, I've had no choice !
Isabella.

ahh, Isabella: yopui've been "at it " again.. working WAY too hard, and apparently , DH has been "at it" again, in his dolting way!!!
im glad you got the lawn mowers sorted.. wish i could be there, i love cutting, and baleing.. its nicer when you can be leasurly about it, though.. im going back MANY years, when dating EX H ; they owned a horse farm, and that was my job there, and i loved it..
thanks for the memories of some GOOD xs with him, they're few and far between!!
its good that you're sorting, and getting some $$ for your outfits.. im the same way now.. can't dress up, wear burkenstocks, all the time now, for my balance.. shoes proper are well gone, since chemo..
i hope you'll get the rest you so dearly deserve, and then, visit us more often.3jays

Isabella & 3jays: I too wear only clunky shoes - Clarks, S.A.S, Born, Birkenstocks, Merrells. They're sooooo comfortable & I usually can find them on sale DSW or Zappos. I still have to wear jackets at work, so I've thrown out all the skirts & dresses and updated my pants collection. No one sees the clunky shoes and I'm in heaven.
So much for that "little black dress". Not sure what I'll do when I need one of those again. Guess I'll have to hope it's sandal weather.
