I have begun to take a few meds rdaily, which I have always been so bad about. I think I will check the side effects on them. Perhaps the meds might be part of my problem. If so, I will just have to accept the SEs.
-
Well, I totally missed last Friday check-in - I didn't even leave work until midnight, so was exhausted and just vegged when I came home. Weight up and down, but hovering around the same pound or two. I don't think it will get much better until towards the end of May, when my schedule will settle back down. I'm also stress eating, although I'm trying to make healthier choices when I do!
-
I've missed many Fridays (again) between travel for work, and my ill step father and then being a grandma, life has gotten too hectic. I must get back on track. I also just joined my fitness pal, a friend at work has lost 6 pounds by just logging what she eats and being more aware. The problem is, I know all of these things but just forget or don't fit them in my life!
Anyway, on a totally different note, Happy Nurses week to all of my fellow Nurses.

Checking in for Rockin Robins
Friday ~ 3 pts
Wt same (174.4) ~ 1 pt
Exercise ~ 13 pts Got DH to workout with me 3 times this week!
Water ~ 7 pts
Ex Cred ~ 1 pt ~ I went to see a Nutritionist speak for my daughter's rowing team. I expected him to give the typical "carb up" and low fat talk. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he gave the opposite information and representative of what I have been following for almost a year now. Pretty much the Atkins way of eating...low carb, high protein and good fats (which include butter and coconut oil). Veggies over fruit (except berries etc) and stay away from sugar and wheat. I'm so glad this way of eating is slowly catching on. Even for athletes!
Total ~ 25
Have a wonderful Mother's Day to all the moms on the board

Bummer! I've been working so much I forgot to check in. Oh, well; maybe next week.
-
You can check in any time and get 1 point, right? But it's 3 points if you check in on Friday.
-
Yeah, badger, but that means I have to fess up to being up a pound. Sigh.
I THOUGHT I was doing OK, but argh!
-
LOL! All we can do is try. I went on a mini-carbfest yesterday, I can tell I'm up a few pounds but am NOT stepping on the scale until Friday. So I have five days of good choices to undo one day of bad choices. The Snickerdoodle ice cream did me in. Why did I even buy it? aargh is right.
-
My schedule and stress have just gone insane this year. I KNOW it's not usually this bad. But I'm finally through the worst of it, and will do my best to get MOVIN' again. My challenge for tomorrow - climb the two flights of stairs behind my office at least twice. That's a start.
-
bookart--baby steps work! I'll join you with the stair climbing challenge. Its only one flight for me at work, but I challenge myself not to use the elevator!
-
Well. I did make it twice, plus I parked at the very furtherest slot in the parking lot and hiked in. And the littlest dog and I took a little dog-sized walk today (my day off). Tomorrow, twice up the stairs, again, and then we'll see where we can go from there.
-
OK, I've got to 'fee up, i used the elevator going in for a meeting yesterday. But I did park at the far end of the lot, and used the stairs all weekend. We're making progress!
-
My boss offered to let me use the golf cart to go out to the mailbox but I opted to walking. Why not I am not that lazy!
-
Hi, all! I have been "flying solo" all these months, at a plateau of just a couple pounds heavier than I would like. You other flock members might think, "oh, I wonder when her egg is due?" but it's just belly fat. If I can cut back on the snacking, I can lose it, because I have been very good with my biking and other exercise. If you think a bird can't ride a bike, think again!
p.s. At my MO appt. last week, I walked up the six flights of stairs, only to find the door locked on their level. Had to walk back down one and elevator up to their floor. Found out the stairs door is in the middle of their exam area, not so good to have people popping in there.
-
hi elimar, LOL and good to see you, glad you're doing well.
