No, not Peachtree Island. Here is a picture of the place before the ceremony.
Bakersfield would be a perfect meeting place! I cummute there every day.
Last night we had a beautiful electrical storm. I love thunder and lightning and we have so little of it.
-
It was cloudy but not nearly as humid as it had been. The sun broke through around 4pm today. The wind was kicking up but seems to have calmed. I would love another lighting show like last night.
-
Yesterday we headed down to So Cal in the bright sunshine. The day was gorgeous but the drive was horrible. We got stopped dead in our tracks for the first accident when a Semi was being uprighted, then a few miles ahead, stopped again as a horse trailer was being pulled back up and embankment, the 20 or so more miles a multi car accident beint cleared. Luckily when we can up to accident # 4 it had just happened so safety vehicles hadn't arrived yet to stop traffic. Oh, I am so glad I live away from the LA freeway system!
-
I would go for 75 and sunny but would take 70,
Road construction on the 99 is begining to make my commute a little sticky lately. :ast night they had traffic down to one lane for miles.
-
Arrived in Brittany (France) yesterday afternoon. High in the 50s. Sunny, windy, rain, then sunshine, then rain again. What can I say? We're in Brittany, where you have 8 to 10 different seasons all in one day. I love it here. We left Virginia totally behind. Miss the friends. Not the politics. French politics are pretty bad right now too. Ah well . . . The food is worth it.
-
Not permanently, Nancynow, just for the next four months. Still, it's good to be here.
-
Sounds like a wonderful time, Anna.
Nancy, yes I commute south on the 99. I think they are trying to extend the 4 lanes in each direction. It will be nice when it's completed but until then...
-
The morning news predicted mid 90s here but report today that it only got to 89. We are supposed to get over 100 in the next 6 days. I'm not looking forward to that.
-
we are supposed to be low 90s this weekend. There is a big spring show this weekend that my sis & bro-in-law participate in every year selling their copper creations (getbentcopperworks.com) for the yard. Typically my mom & I "help"...not sure the heat is going to allow for that this year.
-
I went to their webpage and their work is beautiful. Our weather is supposed to be in the mid to high 90s. Tomorrow my club is having a special big event...outdoors.
-
Happy Mothersday ladies here the weather is supposed to be perfect for all the outdoor family barbecues.
-

had rain most of the day yesterday and heard rain most of the night, calling for rain most of the day. the guesstimates for today are 1-2 inches of rain. it is definitely a drought buster rain, not too heavy to cause much run off but good and steady rain showers.

Wow, that sounds nice.
We had moderate temps yesterday, low 90s. We went to my mom's so DH & the kids could make dinner for us. DS was on call and could not come to our house as he has to be within a 30 minute radius of the city. He was to get off work at 7, so we planned accordingly to start the BBQ at the right time, then....at 5 the power went out. We had no power and cooked and ate by candle light. Luckily the day wasn't too hot but everyone was a bit warm without a breeze. We left at 9 and the power had yer to be restored.
Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day.
-
Today is a sunny day but cool, in the low 60's, the rest of the week will see the temps. rise from the 70's to the 80's on Sat., Sun. and Mon. YIPPIE
-
This week we have had approx 5 inches of rain since Sunday, they are calling for calmer weather the rest of this week and into the weekend.
Sheila
-
95 today and tomorrow it is only supposed to be 84, then back to 95 by Sunday. YUCK!
-
Baby, it's hot outside, but beautiful, 80's, low humidity and not a cloud in the sky. Same for tomorrow with a slight chance of rain, then sunny throughout the week. Great weather for us!
-
Cloudy, chilly, light showers.
-
Nancynow, that's about my favorite temp. Over 80 and I melt.
Are you getting a good view of the eclipse? Too cloudy here.
-
So hot, upper 80's, no wind and humidity, boy does that ever change the equation!! Waiting for my landlord to install the window AC unit, should be here shortly. Last night was a bear to sleep in, not complaining, better than snow.
-
Only got to 89 yesterday but it was pretty uncomfortable. Friday is supposed to be in the 70s. DH has taken Thursday & Friday off so he can get some major work done in the back yard. Glad it will be cooler for him. But if it gets too bad outside I have a new Garbage disposal to be installed.
-
the humidity isn't too bad yet. Hot yes, but a dry heat.
They were predicting very high winds for yesterday afternoon but we didn't get any at all.
I never even know what to wear on a day to day basis because of of poor weather guessers.
-
I appreciate it, too, but wish I had rethought what I was wearing to the T-ball game yesterday. The breeze came up pretty darm cool. Friday evening was too cool for my liking and I got chilled thoroughly jsut getting from my mom's house to the car. Seems stupid, and I am not going to complain because I knew it was supposed to get cool and didn't plan accordingly.
Planning on having everyone out for a BBQ tomorrow so hope the weather sticks. A friend came over and helped us get all the piles of dirt (created as we are digging our pond) out of the yard this week. It feels like our yard is usable once again. DH got inspired and decided to help me with repairs to my greenhouse. The high winds we had recently twisted the vent windows and tore the aluminum hinges.
Hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day weekend.
-
Baby, it's hot outside, I live in a small town an hour distance from Buffalo N.Y., it is 87 today and tomorrow we will start a 90 degree hot spell of 3 days. It would be nice if we could order a 10 min. snowshower to cool us off for a bit. Not complaining though, had a short winter and a hot spring, that is just beautiful for the Buffalo area.
-
When you aren't used to it, the heat can be unbearable. On Sunday our temp was 108. it's going down a little each day and for the next week we should be somewhere in the 80s. 5:45 am here and it is currently 78.
Ah, but the vegetables are loving the eat. Had some wonderful fresh from the garden zucchini and tomatoes with dinner last night.
-
It was 70 when I got up this morning, expected to get to upper 80's today and chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Welcome to Summer in the Carolina's.
Sheila
-
The cooldown started yesterday and with it came wind. Of all the weather I have experienced, wind is my least favorite to date. It can be so destructive.
-
In the 70's today, what a relief, that high 80's-90 was too hot for me.
-
We are supposed to be in the 80s today. We have outdoor plans for te day so being 20 degrees cooler than last weekend is going to be welcomed.
