These don't affect stage at all. Stage is determined by the size of the tumour, your axillary node status and the appearance of any metastatic disease anywhere else in your body...

wasgij96 Are you ER+/PR+/Her2+? If so, please join us on the thread called "Triple Positive". We can answer questions you have as you go through treatment and provide a lot of support. The standard treatment for Triple Positive is TCH (Taxotere/Carboplatin + Herceptin).

    Best Wishes!

Hey, I am triple positive and stage 1a the same as some one staged with DCIS microinvasion. I was (hopefully still past tense) 96+ estrogen, and 29+ Pr and over the top for the HER2+++ final path report 1.8 C (although 2 C of the tumor was removed at biopsy). My oncologist said they only take in consideration the final pathology report. So when I tell someone, who knows anything about staging, they think I have a good cancer. When I shared with someone recently, who is stage 111a, due her size of tumor and micromets in a node, but HER 2- said, you are lucky because you are only stage 1a, early cancer. I don't feel so lucky being dx with HER2+++ and have to do herceptin or maynot be able to continue due to heart issues the herceptin has caused.

I do think the staging should factor in the HER2+  and grade especially for those who are stage 1. Stage 1, grade 1. I had last year did not require chemo or herceptin.  Isn't staging for the purpose of recommending treatment for that stage? If so, stage 1 is all over the board :)

So yes, I understand as to why you might even be asking the question.
