THIS is the only thread im having trouble getting my computer to recognize... figures..
im in the hotel, and finally got the right code to get wii fii.. missed you all. Barbe, and Barbara: hope all is well with the both of you....3jays

I have managed to get back on here in a fashion. I am totaly sick of it now, and missing loads. I just do not have the time to 'register now' each time I want to read a different thread.
I tried 'clearing my cookies'....thanks very much MinusTwo and 3jays...but I shut myself down for 24 hours...everything, whole pc, just blanked. Had to get my pc guy out...he did it in 2 minutes, that's how hopeless I am !
I re- registered last night as Isabelle...completely losing Isabella4 in the process.... tonight Isabella4 is back, but no Isabelle...what a shambles! I am not even trying to move threads. I am beat, and want to jump on / jump off tonight !
Have had a busy day today...mainly throwing DH out once again !! I think he was settling in for the duration, was getting a bit bored, and was starting to stick his nose in too much !! I wasn't offering him anything to do, as I don't want him touching anything...and it was getting to the 'where are you going ' question morning, noon and night ...no good to me. I finally said 'I'm going into the village this afternoon, so if you put your stuff in the car I can drive you back home' I got 'I have another hospital appointment on Thursday' so said 'no problem, I will call and take you'. I think he was a bit suprised as I KNOW I was brusque....I am when I get sick of a situation....but I have so got used to my own company now. It is like heaven tonight, no-one muttering about 'no-one to talk to, always got your nose in a book, or on the pc.' I am just not meant to be half of anything. DH is now OK, well, as OK as he can be. He doesn't need my help anymore, and hopefully the massive bandages that are covering just about all of his right arm will be greatly reduced in bulk and he'll be able to drive again. It's just me that needs help now bringing me back down from the ceiling, where my heads been since he had his op.!!!
We have had some very heavy rain over the last few days, when I had dropped DH off I was straight out into the garden, as there was an hour or two of sunshine, before dusk. The ground was easy going, being so damp, and I got up to date with my planting. That is... only until tomorrow, when all seniors get 20% off all to do with gardening at our local DIY warehouse every Wednesday, so will be filling the car up again, with bedding and herbaceous plants. This is when I miss my greenhouse, I cringe at the prices that are charged for a single plant, when they grow like weeds in a greenhouse ! But, no use trying to keep up with a greenhouse now.... I can't....too many other commitments.
I have just ordered myself an Ikea day bed, a cream wooden one. I am getting worried about being able to get into my new bedroom...even tho' it is all on one level (almost) there are still 4 steps to climb to get myself into the kitchen. I shall set the day bed up in the conservatory which IS on the same level as the kitchen, and, if I can stand the screeching and chattering of my birds I will crash out in there .....and probably end up with coccidiosis breathing the same air as the birds all night !!

Sorry I have been gone so long. Just one foot in front of the other and oh yes, my ulcer has resurfaced. Nice. Protonix is doing it for me. Hate the job but the boss is way better than the other one,now that I have her trained. I promise to come back more after this week passes. Last of the big project that has me working 12-14 hour days 6 days/week.
LOVE YOU!! HUGS!!

Welcome candie.
-
Hi Candie...nice to see you here.
I am not chattering tonight...I can't stay awake. Just about fell into my scrambled eggs at t/time...then fell asleep watching my favorite soap at 7pm....woke up for half an hour...then was off again whilst trying to catch up on the newspapers. I am swaying into my monitor now, so will go off to bed 2 hours earlier than I normally do.
Then I shalln't be able to sleep !!!
Isabella.

Welcome, Candie. Pull up a chair.
Ossa, I'll join the pocket party - my passport is up to date. Perky sounds good.
BarbA - so glad to see you back - have been thinking of you - it was good news about your job - at least relatively good news! I hope your ulcers are calming down.
Isabella - I hope your op gets rescheduled soon; that you like & can deal with the doc who'll handle your diabetes; and that your DH leaves you be... Is it too much to hope DD gets smarter about clothes?
3jays I hope you are moved back in and cleared up - that you aren't too tired - what a job!!
So many women, so many stories to keep up with...Sorry-- I'm kind of tired tonight.
I haven't posted in quite awhile - last was about when I said I was going to digitize our 38 years of photo albums - that took about two months plus some... but that job is done and I am quite proud of myself for sticking with it. We ended up with an "art wall" of our favorite photos from our sailing days. Right after that, the yard called and said I was needed outdoors, so that's where I've been on good-weather days. We got a little plastic greenhouse and I've been having fun starting flower seeds. Goodness knows where I'll put em all, but I'm enjoying the hope and promise of the young sprouts.. Several of last year's flowers overwintered well, so we are starting to enjoy some of the fruits of our labors...
Today was an adventure - on the river. I went fishing for about the second or third time in my life. Posh - on a patio boat with some comforts, anchored with poles in holders that buzzed if a fish got on the line. I don't fish - my relationship with fish is between plate and mouth -- but DH and our friend "made" me reel in one of the fish so it counts for I caught a fish. Unfortunately today was cool and windy, so no sun-basking, but being out on the water was nice; and just watching the wildlife and the clouds was pleasant. Listening to guys tell fish stories was pretty funny too.
Best wishes for a good weekend, all...Kaara, QCA, Marybe, Chrissy, Chabba, all...
I've promised to go with DH to a vintage tractor show this weekend. That should be 'different'...

Told the anesthesiologist he needed to be careful when he put me to sleep as I did not want you guys to be affected by the drugs I will be getting.. He was ok with it as long as he could get some cake.. Pretty funny guy.. Told me that at about age 30 your heart starts to skip a beat and as you get older it skips more beats until you get to your 90s and the last beat tops.. Told him my heart was skipping a beat because of him
.. Love it when people have a sense of humour

Just checking in - with the new system. Hope all are feeling well, and all the adventures are good ones..
