Popping in for a quick Hello and eye-openener before tackling the work day. Yesterday's meeting never happened. I showed up at the sup's door at the appointed time, the door was closed, they were meeting with someone else. I checked back every few mintutes for half an hour, door still closed, then both sups gone for the weekend. I guess they forgot. Not the first time that's happened, so I guess it can't be too bad, whatever "it" is. When I was listening to voice mails I did hear a public apology from the supervisor that made a really hurtful, snide comment in a meeting last week--that was nice to hear. We'd already talked it out and she apologized to me personally, so I thought it was done and over with. Nice to hear it publically, too, though.
Karen--in my experience contacts with people I meet on a trip keep in touch for a while then it tends to peter out unless an exceptionally strong bond was forged at the time. Try not to take the lack of contact personally, if you can. Send them both an e-mail announcing your upcoming trip and see if they respond. If they do, great, if not, try to let it go. Make some new acquaintances on this new trip and enjoy yourself.
DorKable--enjoy DD's celebration dinner, and pass along hearty Congrats from me and all of us here in the Lounge! Such a wonderful thing for you and DD!
Karen--my nails peel and break a lot, too. Always have, probably because I wash my hands so often and use so much hand sanitizer (I go through a 4 ounce bottle monthly just while I'm working). A couple of the girls I work with have had their nails done with a shellac type product that seems to have strengthen their nails a lot, I've got to find out more about that and see how expensive it is. If it's not too expensive I think I'll try it just to see how it works for me.
Thanks for the prayers, Juliet!
OK, time to hit the road, Jack. I'll try to get on for a minute or two tomorry am.

Skinny Girl Margaritas are made with agave and lime juice, instead of the usual margarita mix.
Funny when i met first time with my RO...he was asking about cigarette smoking (no) and then moved on to alcohol.....and I said....."well......since my dx ive been throwing back a few more margaritas than usual..." and he said "yea, i would too....i wont tell anyone tho".....
-
shayne- i like your ro
dork have a wonderful time tonight, give your daughter my congratulations,, nm i know its a full moon this weekend, so hope work is not too bad. everybody have a wonderful cinco de mayo with plenty of drinks -
NM, I don't know is the shipping was intentional or not. He is not that bright, so it could be a mess up, but I would say he has done it with at least 50% of the orders, so that makes me wonder. If you don't log in and out of the accounts, it just bills to whichever one you are in. My husband called him and told him that we had to contact UPS, as our bill was much higher than we think it should be, he didn't say anything and that would have been a good opportunity to fess up. So we will see. Now I have to correct you...............EZ Walls, not wall o water. LOL, that is the competitor! But I must say, I call them that too on occasion. I have your pictures on FB, you should go make a comment on how your plants survived. I just had a customer order 50 of them! Glad you like them.
Mema, hope Stella doesn't give you any problems today. Maybe with a bit of a hangover, she will behave herself! Have a fun day and thank you for walking. I can't wait to hear if you and Heather meet up. And I hope SIL didn't give ya too much killa!!!
Bernie, remind me to never ask for a pat on the back from you!!!! Hey, how is that hair doin? I think we need an update.
Juliet, sorry you can't go anywhere on your days off. Shoot, how can you even call them days off???? Cute doggie story, poor dog and poor mom tho.
Awwwww (((((DOFEY)))))) I missed you to goils too, thanka ewe. (That is kind of how Lilian says it) I also learned how to say "how are you" in Taiwanese and a little more about their language. Very unusual, as in, if you say "yes" wrong, it can be "shit"...............LOL, because they are both very similar. Have fun at your DD's sailabrashun, were you able to keep it Top Secret?
Astorm, you DO need a drink. SEVERAL OF THEM, so you can stay longer.
Karen, I'm with you on the heat. Pretty much anything over 70 is getting too warm for me, especially if I am in the sun, immediate hot flash. My nails peel, if you mean from the top, sort of like the top layer splits and comes off? I keep polish on my nails ALL the time. I often wondered if that wasn't why I did not have problems with them during chemo.
NM, that was rather inconsiderate of them, not to tell you they were canceling the meeting, maybe they need that "PAT ON THE BACK" from Bernie.
Shayne, that is nice that you could joke with your RO. But we know it's more truth!!
Beans, Kathy............hope you are having a goot time. Beans, did you make it to your sisters house?
Undy, Tidy......hope all is ok with you goils. Cindy, hope you aren't in too much pain. I wish you could check in.
I gots PINK DRINKS for us, in honor of our walkin gals today, Heather and Sue. Oh and Stella too. Iss gots brandy in it Sue!
This is THE STING.
The Sling is made pink by the grenadine, sweat and foamy by fresh pineapple juice and alcoholic through a dangerous mixture of gin, triple sec, Benedictine and cherry brandy. Shake with ice and strain into a tall glass with a maraschino cherry and wedge of pineapple. Then all you have to do is sit back and watch the condensation form on the glass
AND CAKE for the Derby. THIS IS CAKE, DO NOT TRY TO WEAR IT!

Hmmmmm, these almost look a little dirty!

Hair - I look like a fox terrier

Some guy bought a new fridge for his house.
To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard
and hung a sign on it saying: "Free to good home.
You want it, you take it."
For three days the fridge sat there without even one
person looking twice at it.
He eventually decided that people were too untrusting of
this deal.
It looked to good to be true, so he changed the sign to
read:
"Fridge for sale $50."
The next day someone stole it. Caution...

One day I was walking down the beach with
some friends when someone shouted....
"Look at that dead bird!"
Someone looked up at the sky and said...
"Where???"
*They Walk among us and they Vote!!*

While looking at a house, my brother asked the
real estate agent which direction was north because,
he explained, he didn't want the sun waking him up every
morning.
She asked, "Does the sun rise in the north?"
When my brother explained that the sun rises in the east,
and has for sometime.
She shook her head and said,
"Oh, I don't keep up with that stuff."*They Walk Among Us and They Vote!!*

I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call center.
One day I got a call from an individual who asked
what hours the call center was open. I told him,
"The number you dialed is open
24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
He responded,
"Is that Eastern or Pacific time?"
Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh, Pacific" .

My colleague and I were eating our lunch in the cafeteria,
when we overheard one of the administrative assistants
talking about the sunburn she got on her weekend drive to
the shore.
She drove down in a convertible, but
"didn't think she'd get sunburned because
the car was moving".*They Walk Among Us and They Vote!!!!*

My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car
it's designed to cut through a seat belt if she gets
trapped.
She keeps it in the trunk...

My friends and I were on a beer run and noticed
that the cases were discounted 10%.
Since it was a big party, we bought 2 cases.
The cashier multiplied 2 times 10%
and gave us a 20% discount on both....

I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area.
So I went to the lost luggage office and told the
woman there that my bags never showed up.
She smiled and told me not to worry because she was
a trained professional and I was in good hands.
"Now," she asked me,
"Has your plane arrived yet?"...*They Walk Among Us and They Vote!!!!!!!!*

While working at a pizza parlor I observed a man
ordering a small pizza to go.
He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him
if he would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6.
He thought about it for some time before responding.
"Just cut it into 4 pieces;
I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat 6 pieces.
*Yep,THEY Walk Among Us, and,
Dear Me, They Vote too !!!!!!!!* -

Bernie, you need to punch that DH of yours in the arm (for me), for saying it would be an improvement if you had hair on your face!!! Loved all of the "they walk among us..."
Shayne, glad you got ur SKINNY on!!!!
Juliet, cute jokes.
Shannon, glad to know things are finally calming down and everyone is moved. Holy the Cow, that took forever! Lime a Rita eh? Blending the flavor of an authentic margarita with a refreshing splash of Bud Light Lime, Lime-a-Rita is an 8%* ABV margarita-flavored alcohol beverage that meets a growing demand among adult drinkers seeking sweeter alternatives.
Wow, so very very quiet here for the last 24 hours! But I know everyone is busy busy busy! We are actually heading to town today, since we were gone all week.
Oh ya, "I"LL HAVE ANOTHER".............LOL!
-
Lol at all the jokes, too funny. I had seen the pole dancer pic before, but never the explanation, lol.
Just now getting up after a crazy three day party weekend here in Ky. It's 10:15 am here, and I plan on doing a whole bunch of nothing today! I will post a pic of Ray and I at the Ky Oaks on Friday, yesterday went to a huge derby party, so much fun. "I'll have another" was the official winner, course I didn't bet it, oh well!
Mema, how did the race go? Can't wait to see a pic. And Dork, saw a pic of your most beautiful daughter receiving her award, how awesome! Was it a total surprise to her? What a proud mama she has made you! And all of her drunken aunts here too, wese is sooooo pwoud!
Ok, gotta get some coffee in me. BBL -
Oopsie, bumped ya Lori, but you did good holdin up your sling dwink and your lime-a-rita, didn't spill a drop! Good girl!
-
Bernie....sae that joke in the latest readers digest issue yesterday...just love it....
undie....glad you are all moved
Goldie....lime-a-rita----doesn't appeal to me at all...but then again, not a beer drinker and haven't had a margarita in years!! part of the appeal for a marg was the salt on the rim!!!
Won't up way too many times last night...probably hourly....DH got up at 4 and I was up then and again when he left at 5:45.....went back to sleep every time I woke up, but its not a good rest....finally got out of bed at 7:30...and in a funk.....DAMN....I hate it when that happens.....Need to get out of this mood.......We had a nice rain/hail storm last night.....and thunder too.....its was sunny a little bit earlier, but looks like its clouding up....forecast for rain today....hope it holds off till this evening.....Tonight is the night we have tickets to Wicked...DD wants to go downtown earlier to use her gift card to N & M, then we will go out to dinner.....Going to be a fun time....not sure what/where we want to eat...there is a PF Changs, CheeseCake Factory, Hard Rock cafe that I know of off the top of my head, but several other eateries.....don't know what I'm in the mood to eat......guess will see what DD wants,......plus haven't even eaten breakfast....don't know if we should make a reservation or not.......we will take the light rail downtown as it will be easier than parking there....the light rail is not to far from my house, so will drive and park there.....
Wishing everyone a great Sunday....
-
Well, here we are at the Oaks!

The walk was awesome! Got to meet mema. I have a pic of us but I don't know how to post it. I did upload it to Facebook. I didn't take a shot, but had plenty of margaritas afterward. Woo Hoo!
My interview on the news aired on Friday night. It turned out awesome. They even showed pics of our team from last year. They don't have it posted online. Boo Hoo! I emailed the lady at the news and asked her about it. If I can't get a link, then DH is going to video tape it from the TV so I can share it.
Happy Sunday everyone!!! What's our DOTD??? -
Kittycat, if you have the pic on FB, just go in and copy the pic, then paste it here! Can't wait to see it! Would love to see the interview too.
