Just wanted to say hi to everyone while signed on.  I had forgotten my password and it took me several times to get it right.  Hope everyone is doing well.  I am still on chemo.  My pain is under control for the most part.  The pain meds I take sometimes make me a zombie but I they are necessary to function.  I am looking forward to some warm weather where I can just sit in the sun with a cup of coffee in the morning and listen to the birds.  I am ready to get a gun out after a scroungy old blackbird that is pestering everyone.  Wonder how long it would take the police to surrrond the house.  LOL!  Well, have a good week.  HunkyD

    Hi girls,

Hope you feel better soon HunkyD!  Just the thought of going through chemo again, seems so unreal to me.  I don't think I would have what it takes to go another round.

    Much love to you all,

    Leggy

Hi all!  It's been a beautiful weekend.  My aunt came to visit for a few days, on her way to her Montana home, from Phoenix.  I got to play Napa Valley tour guide, but I'm tired.  Yesterday I caught up on my emails and noticed a test result for colorectal cancer and It came back positive, so I guess I'll hear from my GP tomorrow.

    Hope everyone is OK

Sounds like were still all fighing the battle one way or another.  I am still doing chemo.  I don't think you ever get time off when you become IV.  Take care ladies.  We only have the time we have.  Hunkydory

I am so tired today.  End of the school year always gets busy.  I feel good so do too much and then pay for it by needing to nap the following days.  Still better than being stuck in bed though and being out in the warm sun helps.  Also tonight I was lucky, while dropping something off for a friend I walked into a dinner party and went home with a nice plate of food and my little one almost made t to bed in time.  :)       Kelly

ps  my cancer is still in lymph, liver, chest, and brain (maybe bones?)  but I am feeling B+ on a good day...  Kelly

Hi girls!  I'm having a tired day as well.  So sorry to hear you girls arn't doing so well, but I'm glad to hear from you!  Last week, I had some test results come back positive for colorectal cancer.  So I have to go in for a colonoscopy.  Probably nothing, but it sure makes me nervous.  My dad had rectal cancer and his mother died of BC.  Oh well at least they will knock me out.

    Keep posting, I miss you,

     Leggy

sorry to here that Leggy, I hope all goes well.

Kelly, I didn't realize what you were dealing with.  You have such a great

    attitude all the time.

I went for my last week and I am being called back for further looks at the breast.

Same breast, so not sure what that means.   It just makes you feel anxious.

HunkyD, glad to hear from you.  Can you stop taking the chemo when it is in a remission?

Well, off to bed, work tomorrow.   Talk to you all soon.

    Hugs, Karen

Very warm here now, it was really hot yesterday...Kind of makes you stay inside, even Wolfie doesn't walk until it cools off.

    LOVE,

    Leggy

How is everyone doing??   I was called back on my mammo and it seems I have new calcifications...radiologist says it is nothing.  so glad of that but will ask why it is showing up.

Long weekend here.  I took an extra two days off, so a mini holiday.  The weather is suppose to

    be nice.

    Think of you all often.

Hi All, sounds like we are all dealing with something.  More crappy things than not.  I am still on chemo.  It is a fairly good chemo I can deal with if you call any of them good.  Lots of medicine.  I am waiting for warmer weather and maybe something fun to do.  Good luck to all of ya on tests, etc.  I wish you all well.  I will try to be more attentive.  Hugs to all!  Hunkydory

Had my mammo on Monday, followed by an ultrasound and everything is OK, but I've got to go back in 6 months...yuck.  But boob still hurts.

It's hot and I'm just staying in the house, getting bored...and fat.  Time to give up the cookies.

    Take care everyone!

Hi, here it's October and on nobodies out there. Last week, I saw my Breast Care Nurse, and she didn't like what she saw on my bad boob.  The nipple has all but disappeared and has a lump on it, but she said the change could just be radiation changes, awh radiation the gift that keeps on giving.  so Nov. 1st I see a Breast Surgeon and we see how that goes, they left enough room in the appointment if I need a biopsy.

Other than that, Wolfie is now blind which seemed to me to happen overnigth, but thats not likely the case.  I'm now his seeing eye person, trying to keep him from bumping into things.

One good piece of news is, I inherited oil, gas and mineral rights on 424ac in Texas, and my family all have shares. An oil co. leased it from us, and they struck natural gas.  So I should be receiving royalities soon.  How long that lasted noone seems to know.

    Love to all,

    Jan

Hi Leggy.  Hope your lump turns out OK.  I still on the chemo plugging away.  Sorry for poor wolfie.  Our dog is blind also from cataracts caused from feline diabetis.  We have to give her two shots a day.  And yea for the inheritence...something nice for retirement for you.  Maybe you can move now.  Later....coffee time for me.  luv Hunkydory

Ever since they changed the format I just quit using this site.  I had to ask a question today though so I am back.  Sorry to have fallen off the face of the earth.

I have had a lot of progression, brain mets etc, and am walking sideways, can't see that well some days, and am deaf in my right ear after wbr.  But I am still going.  I start a new clinical trial at the Univ of Colorado on Thursday.  My oncologist told me he could tell me to plan for 4 good months and then he didn't know.  But that was a month ago and it was before the radiation and before this new trial so I am making plans for a lot longer than that.

I'll check in more often now that I see you all still posting.  Kelly

Hi girls,  I had to go have a biopsy on Thursday and the surgeon called me yesterday with the pathology results and I have reocurrant breast cancer in the bad breast, so I will have an appointment with her tomorrow when we will discuss my next appointment for a double mastecomy, and have reconstruction on the 26th if not sooner.  It's just the gift that keeps on giving.  I never expected to have it again in the same breast after chemo and rads. but there you go.  We play with the hand we're dealt.

    Love to all,

Thanks KKing, I saw the surgeon today and got the stiches out where they did the biopsy and we discussed what to do, and I see the plastic surgeon tomorrow, so we'll see.  This just isn't a happy time....

    Well wishes to everyone!

Hi KK and Kelly. Leggy, So sorry you had it come back but hopefully you can get that area cleaned up. I just don't know how you have managed Kelly. It is such a hard thing to go through. I am finding out what a tough gal you have to be to keep up with it. Sorry about Wolfe Leggy. We have to give our old lab 2 shots a day for diabetics. She is blind and deaf also. My DH really has his hands full tending myself and the dog. At least he doesn't have us eating from the same dish or hiding my pills in food. HaHa. That was a sick bit of humor. We did get to go on vacation to a mountain lake resort a couple weeks ago. It was so nice to rest and watch the change of colors in the foliage. Well, have a nice weekend everyone. Hope to talk to everyone again. HD

HI, I went to see the plastic surgeon, and because I had radiation, no implants my skin is to thin, and he says I won't be happy with it. The surgeons don't think I should get rid of the other breast so they can't stretch my skin enough. So then, the suggestion is to either take muscle and skin/fat off my back since I don't have enough fat on my stomach and our worried about my neuropathy, or just have the mastectomy on the bad boob.  I've done some research and I don't think I'm going to be happy no matter what.

This sucks!  Then the chemo. word was brought up if I have any lymph nodes with cancer, but my Onc. said I couldn't do chemo. again.....I'm really confused now.

Maybe I'll just go on vacation and forget about it!

    Love ya,

    Leggy
