Hi everyone, I go to hospital for my 6mo mammo, hopefully the little spot they were concerned about is nothing. Life is pretty good, and the weather has cooled off, but the sun is shinning. We had a lot of wind, over the weekend so it's time to get after the leaves.
Kelly, how are you feeling? KKing, how's the house selling going? A least you know where you'd like to move, that's half the battle. I miss you girls, pop in to say hi, OK!
Love,
Leggy
-
Leggy...what is this little spot you mentioned? I also hope it is nothing.
The house selling isn't happening, I think it is because of Christmastime.
How is everyone else doing? Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.
-
Hey KKing, winter just isn't a good time to sell a house, so I hope you have better luck, come spring.
The little spot, is probably just calcification, but they had a repeat of the mammo., and then an ultrasound. After that they wanted to do a biopsy, but couldn't do it until the next day, and I was going on vacation. They said you seem to be wary of a biopsy and I was, the core needle biopsy prior to diagnoses hurt like a son of gun. They said they don't do that biopsy anymore, and they thought is was so small it could wait, but I had to come back in 6months. So on Wed. I go in for more torture. My poor boobs.
Last week, my family thought we were all rich! My grandmother had oil rights on some property and a company wants to drill. We all got a check for $400.00, and my Mom told me we would be paid that every month. I didn't think that was right, and lo and behold, that's all we'll be paid until they strike oil.....Don't count your chicken.. It was fun for awhile and I'm richer today than I was yesterday. The check was in the mail.
So I went out and bought myself a really cute red purse at Macy's for my Christmas present....I got what I wanted!
Love ya,

Hello friends
Just a little update. My neuropathy seems worse, unless it's the time of year. My fingers and palms ore numb, very cold and hurt like h_ _ _ at the same time. Then i get sudden sharp pains in 2-3 fingers. My right thumb nail has come off, The only nail that is not loose on my hands fis my left thimb nail. That was a trip, loose nails, from becoming absessed and smelling like my horses' hoof when he had absess. Right now I have to keep them trimmed close so as not to get them hung up on things.
I have had two courses of just the avastin, no premeds, but the first time having it aone I started having tightnesd in my chest. The nurse stopped the flow and the tightness went away and when she restarted the avastin she added 15 more minutes, so now insteead of 30 minutes its a 45 minute drip. Both of mny doctors are concerned that I have b een scheduled for a cardiac caT SCAN ON dECEMBER 20.
I've been having a thghtness around my middle section just above my waist, feels like something bindind just blow my breast, don't know if the two are connected or not. I've tried to increase my walking a little at a time, but I still feel like I can't do much more than to the mailbox and back to the house and just sit down or mostly lie down for a while. It was almost 2 months before getting on the computer.Fingers are tired and feel like they are being tourtured from typing (HAHA). Take3 care everyone. Merry Christmas to all, may we all have the strength and our loved ones near us to celebrate this Christmas.
Love you All my BC sisters.

Merry Christmas Ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To all a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually managed to put up a new photo. It is old since I can't sort out how to get pictures from my phone but still it is a photo. Hurrah, chemobrain has not completely destroyed my brain!
Had a nice quiet Christmas. Kids here, Dad visited, went to my sisters and will see more family later this week. Went to the childrens early Mass. Very little stress. I liked it. We set up an assembly line and made over 10 dozen sugar cookies. Yum. It was fun. We don't do anything because we have to anymore and I think that makes everything feel better.
Back to treatment tomorrow, love to everyone, Kelly
-
My mom and I went to the community center, who put's on a great Christmas lunch. I bought myself a nice leather purse and we came home to a happy dog. He got some left-overs.
My mammogram didn't show any growth to the spot they seemed to worry about, so they think it's a cyst. So I have six more months of freedom from doctors!!!! Yeah,.
Happy New Year to all!
-
Kelly, hope your treatment went well and that you are feeling alright.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE JUNIES.
So glad we are all here for each other. I know we all live far from each other but
somehow I feel a connection to each of you.
Hugs, Karen

Well I tried doing the care page thing. It looks so boring. I don't know how to add updates etc or read comments. If you can go look and offer suggestions.. look under Kelly Blackman
why is facebook too easy and carepages not so much?
Last day the kids are off school, and I will be taking a big nap tomorrow.

Hi girls. Long time since I have been on. My life just consists of trts. Going on a chemo this week called Xeloda. Going to try and read up a bit about it on the boards.Hope all the rest of you are doing well. Tax time coming up before we know it. This new chemo is very expensive. Hoping to get some assistance. Have a nice week girls. Its cold and a bit snowy here....HD
-
So nice to hear from you HunkyD, I was wondering what was happening with you. Sorry to hear that you are undergoing treatments again. How are you coping with it all?
Yes, we have snow today and supposedly rain tomorrow...it makes no sense.
Well I have been working on motivating myself to either do weightwatchers or go to curves, I seem to be putting on so much weight and having intense cravings all the time for the wrong food. I try and eat the right things but man, as soon as I see something sweet, I am lost.
How is everyone else doing?
-
Anyone out there? I would love to hear from each of you and how you are feeling, what you have been spending time doing, or not doing, and anything else you want to share.
Miss you all, Kelly
-
Hello everyone. How are you all doing. I second Kelly, where is everyone??
Not much going on here. We never sold our house so we are not moving. I am home this week with a nasty flu, doctor told me to stay home, I never argue with the doc. Seems that the hormonals that we all take can cause some major bone issues, I have been having many problems with my hip so they xray it and now I have osteo arthritis. Is this the progression for everyone? I am on arimidex.
Some exciting news, my daughter is going travelling again. She is plannin on going to Thailand in May when she finishes her courses, for a month and then over to Austraila, possibly until October. Man she has guts, she has found some travelling friends whom she met on her trip to Europe last year, so away she goes again.
Please check in and let us know what is happening.
Hugs, Karen

Happy Valentines Day! Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm still here, but I haven't really done anything to write home about....
-
Hi all,
Yesterday, I went to see the Onc.....uneventful thank goodness. I've been struggling with hot flashes and pain in my feet, but I'm lucky to have No evidence of disease since treatment.
The weather has been wonderful, but we didn't get enough rain. Never thought I'd miss that.
Love to you all,
Leggy
-
Going out for Happy Hour! Hopefully it will make me happy. Calistoga is having a Jazz Festival, so the town will have lots of tourists and music!
We had some more rain last night and today, but its nice out now. I just walked Wolfie and I'm ready to go, just waiting for my ride. Hope you all are well and I'm not talking to myself.
-
Leggy
Glad you are doing so well. I know about the hot flashes but the foot pain I dont have that. I do have a wonky hip that they say is osteo-arthritis...I assume it is caused by the arimidex.
We had a beautiful day today, sunny and slightly warm. Usually we are still battling the winter but this winter has been very mild. Looking forward to friday, my daughter turns 24. I cant beleive all this time has passed............makes me feel old...............LOL
Yes, it is very quiet with the Junies, hope everyone is well.
-
Today is another day, it's pouring outside.
-
Still raining....My birthday is the first day of spring and it never rains on March 20th I'll be 56 years old and I feel it.

Wolfie and I went to the beach today! Really windy, but sunny after all the rain blew through. Had my pint of clam chowder at Spuds! The Best clam chowder EVER!
Wonderful day!
Love to you alll!

Hello ladies. I have been feeling pretty well. The nice weather sure helps a lot. We are even going to try put in a small garden this year. Since my front yard is infested with dandilions I am not sure how well we will be able to keep up with the garden but my husband really wants to grow his own organic veggies.
I noticed the posts about the mets conference. Have any of you ever been to one of those? I am not planning to go but may in the future.
Thanks Leggy for posting, I like to imagine you and Wolfie walking on the beach.
Miss hearing from everyone, Kelly
-
Hi Kelly,
I've missed all of you girls! Today I walked through town today, with Wolfie. We did some window shopping, and I of course had to keep a tight rein on him ,since he wants to pee on everything. It's overcast with mist, so it was a nice walk.
The Lyrica, I'm taking helps with nerve pain, so I can walk a little further, and don't have to take as much pain med.
Mom and I bought a megamillion ticket today so we're dreaming!
Love and hugs to all!
Leggy
