    Ruth,

Sooooooooo very happy, happy, happy for you.  I can feel it here in Georgia!  Been there and done that, so I well know what were and what you are now feeling.  Also makes me feel better to in that another sclerotic spot on someone else also came back non-cancer.  So, you're good news has bolstered me too!

    Hugs,

    Linda

Just popping in to say hi to everyone.  I haven't been here in about a week, and I see I have a lot of reading to catch up on. What a busy board this is....I love it!

Congrats to those who have finished treatment, or received good test results.  And a big hug to those who need one today!

    Ruth, HALLELUJAH!

I did something similar when I had my bone scan. They told me it would be read by 4:00 that afternoon, and I went to the hospital and got the information from patient records. (It took a week for my Doc's office to call me. I would have been dead of the anxiety if I had waited for them.)

Oh Ruth!!! happy times are here again.  minxie..thinking of you and hoping for scar tissue.

luvriving--i had an elevated ca2729 and a clear scan... had a follow up blood work and pet which were also clean.  The blood tests are quite inaccurate for some of us.  keep your chin up

    Ruth - what good news!!!

The best thing today for me was getting headphones at work. I needed speakers for my computer and IT dept. ordered headphones instead...they arrived today. I used them for the intended "work" purpose and, after that, listened to YouTube all afternoon! I even found a Zen Garden relaxation playlist that lasted for over an hour. I sipped on my tea, listened to relaxing music while I worked. It was blissful. Ahhh....

onvacation - yeah!  half way done is great.  Very very soon it will all be over and YOUR LIFE will get back to normal fairly soon, just line mine.  I am back to normal with my hair, my very long eye lashes (did I mention before that they have come back longer than I ever had and they are super gorgeous!), same hands and legs, same face (minus a little bit menopausal aging).  So you go girl, get it over with, by tomorrow this time, it would be over with and onto the next one.

Hello ladies. I had my port put in yesterday. My right chest region is a little sore, and right arm range of motion is a little limited for now, but otherwise doing OK. But, that is not the only reason for this post.

Night before last was our 2nd annual employee recognition and awards dinner. We had a very nice dinner at a local country club, a beautiful breezy night and we ate outdoors. Then we went inside for the awards and recognition part of the night. The president of the hospital announced each of us and we went up individually for our awards. Everyone got a check, and the ones who weren't there last year got a silver colored badge holder, and lots of applause and "way to go!", but when my name was called and I got to the front of the room....... I thought the applause was a little louder than most had been, I turned around after getting my hug from the president and everyone was standing. Talk about surprised, I never expected that. I am just one of many employees there who makes our hospital a great place to work. I guess that I have made an impact in the past 5 years since we opened. This is from the person who tried wearing her Superwoman cape at work until 3 weeks ago when I went on STD. I also had visitors from almost every department in the hospital before my procedure yesterday. I guess that I am really liked by my coworkers.

I just had to share my happy moment with you ladies, sorry to ramble.

    RUTH.........big smile!

Karen....did i miss it?  happy birthday!

Titan......thank you for starting this board!

Minxie....I had the docs look at many many lumps and the one that did turn out to be "bad" felt like a little pea under my skin.  with that said, all the others were scar tissue and sent me into a panic too.  here's hoping you just have one lumpy scar!

    Lovelyface....thinking of you!

Best thing that happened to me today:  I get to be a model in the Northwest Hope and Healing fashion show tonight.  I did this last year and it was so much fun.  Let's see if I can manage to NOT fall off the stage.  This chemo makes me a bit dizzy and "out-of-it" feeling.  Should be fun!

I saw my oncologist this morning. He says it's unusual, because the lumpy area is not in the scar but above it. Still, he doesn't screw around and I am seeing the breast specialist Monday for an MRI or biopsy or whatever she decides.

I asked him about percentages and he said the odds are more likely it's nothing serious - but hey we've all heard that one before. He gave me an Ativan prescription. Now to survive the next 4 days until the appointment!

Minxie, I really don't think your Onc would say that if he didn't feel it really wasn't anything serious.

Becca- it's so great to have a supportive workplace. I am lucky enough to have the same. I'm on STD right now and I miss them all so much.

All. I love reading about everyone. It's nice to know that there is someone else that is either going through the same thing or has been through this already. I am half way done with my A/C. Knock on wood the SE have been a little better after the second treatment. My WBC before the first one were like 7.9 and before the second one they were 14.0. I'm assuming that's why I felt a little better. My RBC are still low, so they are keeping an eye on that. My daughter is graduating high school on May 20 and her party is May 12th. I just want to feel "normal" for that!! My ONC is letting me put off my 3rd treatment by a few days so I will feel good for her party and mothers day. I should hopefully feel good by graduation too!!

    Have a good day everyone!

Inmate I hope you get to feeling better soon!

    Karen Happy Birthday!

Ruth YEAH!!!!  Best news I heard all day!

Ok question for you ladies.  I was told in early April that I was menapausel and should not have any more periods.  3 days later I started.  Lasted for 8 days and was pretty normal.  Stopped for a few days then came back.  Only lasted a few days.  Then Sunday night I woke up and had started again!  This time it has been really, really heavy lots of clots.  So I called my gyno today and she called me in a script for Zyleda, and wants me in tomorrow for an ultrasound. Says she doesn;t understand why I am bleeding..  Before chemo I had just started having bad periods so I am hoping this is really nothing new, but still it is hard to not be worried.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?  My appt is at 2 tomorrow.

Lisa..I was having chemo during my son's graduation also...not easy but you can do it...I didn't have any hair...had 3 ac's by the time of his party....I actually felt pretty good..had chemo on Weds., track meet on thursday...party on Saturday...I had to enlist alot of help because honestly..I couldn't do it all....my husband and daughter and some family and friends really came through for me....did the scrapbooks/pics/ etc...in record time...while I sat in my chair...by the time it was party time I was feeling great....

I guess what I'm trying to say that things will be fine.....but it sucked to be going through chemo at a very important time of my son's life..but it all worked out...
