post tx MO apptments
what do they do? All my tx will be done may 2,but the first availible f/U appt isnt until may 24. He said he would put me on tamox then.
Does three weeks seem long time to wait to start tamox? (sx,chemo, rads will be complete)
They dont to f/u scans unless you have symptoms. Do they do bloodwork?
I really want to try to get on metformin. Im pretty sure he will say no. Probably want me to be in study. Im going to get in the neuvax study.
I never want to do this again. Im a little afraid of just local docs now. Had abnormal mammo in 09. Doc repeated mammo, did US said its nothing. I was so releaved. 2010 mammo neg, but said that spot was unchanged. Fast forward to last july 2011 i found lump in same area he had ultrasound wand. I know i was screwed by that dr. Its taken me many months to come to terms with that. I even had a lawyer look into it, he looked at my case and said there was nothing we could do. Maybe it was too small back then. Maybe he didnt want to scare me
im not sure if i want to keep my MO. Ive moved all my docs up to johns hopkins, except for this one. This is one of the reasons ive done my Rads at johns hopkins. My trust issues. There is a great one in same building as the rads i go too now. My sister said that my current MO said i would one day die from BC. I didnt hear it
Im going to do every thing i can to prevent reoccurance.
Going to xercize as much as i can, going all vegitarion, organic as much as i can. I will take that pill. I will begin living again as soon as i feel better.
Is there anything else? Do youll think metformin would be helpful. Im pretty much normal weight and plan on doing low glycemic diet, which was really what we were doing
DH going to surprise me with new used tbird convertable, liscense plate if available is going to say FUBC
This has been so hard. Im also think im going to spend month learning yoga at nearby yogaville. Whole month i think is only 360. I think thats room and food

Fredtan, the relationship with your MO is a longterm one. You need to be with someone you have trust in.
Hopkins is a top flight center for breast cancer.
All the best.

Its scary when tx is over, I felt safer when I was going through tx and have had a harder time with the post-tx. I can't really answer your question about Tam. I was started on an AI after my last chemo, took a break for BMX and started right back...never been off it. I don't know why he wants to wait but he must feel like it's ok to do it. My onc did a PET aftern chemo and I've never had another, my dr doesn't scan unless I have symptoms and I get a liver panel every 3 mths. She did do a circulating tumor cell test post rads and said she would do one periodically. I've not been able to get metformin, so good luck, my dr's give the whole..."it's still under investigation" speech. I hope you can, many on here are on it. The yoga month sounds awesome and I love the liscense plate!

I am just going to call him and leave message about tamox script.
Maybe i should just suck it up and get on metformin clinical trial
I thought i hated type 1 diabetes, i hate BC more(dd was dx type1 in 05) -
I bet so. It runs in my family also, every grand-parent had it...I always assumed I would automatically. No one had BC and I ended up with that though so who knows. I hope you can get in a trial and I think a message will make you feel better.
