4TH TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS!!!!!
Comments
-
I may join in as a newbie if that is ok. Have a daughter that lives in LA and I might be able to combo up the vacation!
-
The Paris is a great hotel. Good restaurants and though I've not been to the pool I will take Tracey's word for it!
Judy -- I thought the Paris was owned by Harrah's, not Hilton? Or is it a joint venture?
-
I am going to get my tickets soon. Should I come in on Thursday or Friday? I will probably fly home Monday morning. I am looking to room with someone.. whatever I can do to save money for shopping:) Who needs a roommate? I'm hoping Laura comes this year. Anyway, looking forward to it after these past 2 years. Steph

Put me down as "iffy" and "hopeful" Have to get through spinal fusion surgery sometime this summer and I am hoping for a speedy recovery. This will be a first for me also.
-
Count me in, too. I'm a newbie.....
-
Hi all you lovely TA TAS,
Well it has been awhile since my last post and I am really happy to see all the newbie's joining us this year. You will have a great time and will not be alone unless you choose to.
For the TA TAS that arrive on Thursday, we have a preparty before the party begins on Friday. Send me a pm if you would like to attend.
Laura should I let you know who will be attending?
Paris is a great Casino. Tracy and Gisella thank you for all your hard work.
Can't wait to see everyone in VEGAS!!!!!
Hugs, Cheryl

Haven't stayed yet at the Paris, but am looking forward to it. I vote for their piano bar if they are giving us such a fantastic rate -- they may want to keep us in their space and offer us a good rate at the bar too.
-
HEY LADIES!!!
WE WILL BE STAYING AT PARIS HOTEL!!! YAAAAAAAAY US! THE RATE WAS TOO GOOD TO PASS UP AND AGAIN THE MIRAGE WOULD NOT BUDGE ANY ON THE PRICE AND LET ME TELL YA IT WAS SKY HIGH!!!! IT WAS MORE THAN DOUBLE WHAT WE WILL BE PAYING AT PARIS. I SHOULD BE POSTING THE INFO FOR YOU TO BOOK YOUR ROOMS BY THE END OF THE WEEK. YOU WILL FIND THAT INFO AT THE TOP OF THIS THREAD.
ALSO PLEASE SIGN UP BY MESSAGING ME AND LET ME KNOW WHO IS GONNA BE IN YOUR ROOM.
THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!

1st time on this thread.. I am hoping I will be able to come again this year and I loved that past 2.
I just have a lot on my plate this year but I hope I am able to work this mini vacation in.. Love you ladies!
-
I am thinking of going this year..being I just got my tat as on Friday..it might be a fitting time to start! Finally no surgeries planned on the horizon!
-
Marial - hope you can come! I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
This is such a fun group! -
You guys are all so welcoming to us newbies.

I was telling my hubby about it last night. He said...so it's kind of like the 3 day Komen walk...except you spend it in Vegas drinking, dancing and shopping instead of walking 60 miles.
Yup.
-
SusansG- Ha! And dang.
Family Vegas thing snuck up on me. May have to skip and meet you all in my newbieness next year. (c:

Hello sisters, this is a quick note to update you in the hotel situation. Tracey is traveling all day and will not be able to post an update. Unfortunately, Paris is no longer in the plans. They offered space without confirming availability and they are not able to provide us enough rooms for the group. This was not confirmed until last night when Tracey received a message. There are other hotels alternatives and Tracey is looking into those (we will have a hotel). Once she has all the information she will post it here and in the Facebook website.
This is an extremely frustrating process, which unfortunately is not helped by the fact we go during convention season, I have done it in the past years and speak from experience when I say it is not an easy process.
Thank you Tracey for working on this.
Love you all and cannot wait for Vegas.
Hugs
G.
-
Giselle - thanks for the update. I can see where this is an extremely frustrating process.
The project group works so hard at making this such an awesome experience year after year and all of the hard work is much appreciated by myself and everyone else.
I am not going to sweat the small stuff. After all besides morning coffee parties and going to bed at 3 am - we don't spend much time in the rooms (or at least I don't)

-
I LOVE YOU JANCIE!!!!!! You are right we do not spend much time in the room at all. Cannot wait to see you in Vegas...
Love
G.
-
Thanks Gisella.. I'm not worried either... We will have rooms! Don't sweat the small stuff!

-
Ditto what Jancie said! Just so grateful to the organizers for making this a great experience. Wherever we stay or whatever we do, we are all there for the same reason and meeting everyone year after year and getting to meet new sisters is the BEST!!
-
Giselle - I hope you have your tiara ready!
-
Jkz -- I too am not sure I can make it this year. I am looking at a very demanding work schedule for the rest of 2012 and simply may not be available. (I'm hoping I can go -- but still -- sometimes stuff happens

-
Hello! This sounds awesome. This is a strange question, but is this for people who have completed treatment only? I fully expect to be done by then, but still wanted to check. I had my lumpectomy yesterday
Thanks very much! -
Haven't been on this site in a while & I was so happy to see this thread and see so many familiar names! I love, love, love Vegas! We will be in Disney while you ladies will be tearing it up in Vegas! I'll be having brunch with Cinderella while you have martinis.
Have one or more for me and enjoy! -
Neeners - this trip is open for anyone that wants to come regardless of where they are at in their journey. I remember the first year the trip was planned and my first question was "can I come even though I only had a lumpectomy and not reconstruction?" I figured by the name of the group that it was for those that had done complete masectomies and reconstruction BUT that is not the case at all!
-
HEY LADIES!!
OK FIRST LET ME START OFF BY APOLOGIZING FOR PARIS NOT WORKING OUT FOR US. UNFORTUNATELY THE REGIONAL SALES MANAGER THAT I AM WORKING WITH FAILED TO CHECK AVAILABILITY BEFORE HE PUT HIS OFFER ON THE TABLE. HE ASSURED ME THE ROOMS WERE AVAILABLE AND ON THE DAY THE CONTRACT WAS TO BE SIGNED HE GAVE ME THE BAD NEWS THAT HE MADE A HUGE MISTAKE! I FEEL BAD THAT IT DIDN'T WORK OUT BUT IT WAS TRULY OUT OF MY CONTROL. WITH ALL THAT SAID WE ARE SURVIVORS RIGHT SO WE PRESS ON! I WILL POST THE NEW HOTEL INFO AND THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO BOOK YOUR ROOM AS SOON AS I GET THE CONTRACT AND SIGN IT WHICH SHOULD JUST BE A FEW SHORT DAYS FROM NOW. WE DO HAVE A HOTEL!
I CAN'T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH FOR YOUR GREAT ATITUDES, PATIENCE AND EXCITMENT, YOU SISTERS NEVER CEASE TO AMAZE ME! I LUV YOU ALL!!!
TALK WITH YA IN A FEW SHORT DAYS!!!! -
I lurk all the time but rarely post. I think a yearly trip to celebrate life is a great idea. I hope you guys have a great time!
-
Tracey -- you are amazing. Thank you for all the work you are doing to make this amazing event happen. I'm looking forward to my 2nd year.
-
(((Tracey)))....thanks
-
tracey !! You go girl!! (((thank you, thank you, thank you))) This is awesome!! We're patient--it is only April!! We have lots of time. LOVE YOU !!!
