Last night I received this message on Caring Bridge about our dear Jeanne
"This is Mark, Jeanne's husband. Jeanne died of her disease on Tuesday, May 8th here at home. Lindsey, Michael, and I (with several dear friends) took care of her -- with the tremendous round the clock compassion and palliative ministrations of San Diego Hospice.
Readers of this blog saw Jeanne's tremendous intellectual and emotional awareness and (unwilling) acceptance of the journey she was on. You also saw a woman who after 14 years with no evidence of disease lived an additional 6 years and 5 months with enthusiasm and stoicism.
She took this time to tighten the bonds of family, enlarge her circle of friends and stay out in the world doing so many things and going so many places.
The way she lived her life and loved those around her serves as a lesson to us all."

Today's UT had a beautiful obituary for Jeanne: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/utsandiego/obituary.aspx?n=jeanne-lehmann-dillon&pid=157553712
The funeral is Monday at 1
