how about drinking?

Good morning, Loungettes! Beautiful morning shaping up, supposed to get to 80 degrees today and really bust the record. I am looking forward to working out side some today. Had my annual eye exam yesterday, got new contacts to try. These I can leave in overnight, they only have to come out once a week for cleaning, and last a month. So far they're great! So comfortable, and so nice to wake up and be able to SEE!

Wahine--It's so great that your DD's love to spend time with each other!
DorKable--Nothing like Potty Humor, is there? Happy b-day to the DH. Love the pic of flowers and butterfly! Waiting to get a fix date is a Pain in the Anatomy, big time. Hope some dwinkies help the time pass.

Mema--Ah, Vegas, makes me want to plan another vacation trip to visit with my Cousin and her hubby and their 2 furbabies! It's a pain when you have a hard to fit body part. I remember going through the same thing to find bras that fit and were wearable for 8 hours. Not fun at all.

Karen--I don't have a french press yet, but will someday. I've got a drip coffee maker (with a timer for those early mornings), a vacuum coffee maker, a percolator that uses an alcohol burner (for power outages) and an expresso machine for my lattes. I love the smell of the beans as I grind them up. I so wish you could find a way to have a good cry and get some of that emotionality out. My therapist says we have 3 ways of releasing stress: crying, laughing and orgasm. Maybe you can make up for not crying with one of the other two? Here are some stress relievers that Sadie recommends:

Wahine--be careful not to overdo with your Mom! I know how easy it is to do too much, especially when the weather is so nice. Never heard of Espada fish before, sounds interesting. Does it have a strong taste or a mild one? I would never have though of cooking fish with bananas! Sounds good, though.
Beanie--having a good vehicle for ice, snow and mud is a wonderful thing! My PT Cruiser, aka the GoBuggy, gets me through just about everything. Sunday was the first time in years that I couldn't get down a road to a patient's home, but the mud was literally a foot deep and soft after a hard rain the night before. Sounds like Geneveve is great one! Great one from the Wicked Tinkers, watched/listed to the you tube version--FUNNY!!

Juliet--LOL!!!!!! I like you're style, Lady!
Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Too Sexy!
1 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Sugar
3 oz Sweet and Sour MixDirections
Pour into a large rocks glass filled with ice. Stir well, garnish with two slices of lemon, and serve. -
I have come to the Lounge for a celebratory dwinkie! The sewing room shelves are done. I have even made a raised bed box out of the leftovers, I have a spot in mind for it but I've got to get the new tiller out of its box and working before I put it in place. Hope to have morning glories climbing a latticwork that is old and not so pretty. . . .

YAY for NM's DOTD....now we can ALL celebrate our sexiness....the "Too Sexy" dwink...ha,ha! Guess a lot of us also wanna sing "I'm too sexy for my body"...cuz we feel much sexier than how the rat ba$tard changes our appearance. YES, espada is so yummy, Both my mom, my DH, and I, always try to have it almost every day while in Madeira. It is very mild and tender. Sometimes my mom will cook a mild white fish with bananas at home, and it replicates it very well. I am sure my DD will get tired of how much I will want to have it....and our fav place is a small restaurant/bar, called the Barracuda! ALmost like a hole-in-the-wall, but also very popular with those from the UK who have a million time-shares there. So on Fridays they have a fish 'n chips special! LOL. Hmmmm....is there a double entredre for having the "john" being named "kathy"??? LOL...dat was funneeeee. Yes, I am so thankful my girls are so close...they have a lot of similar interests, both were in gifted classes, so loved reading, learning, etc., but they oldest one is more of a bookworm and youngest is more of a fashionista. I wanted to make sure they were REALLY close, as I was divorced when the youngest was 11 mo old, and always wanted them to have "each other", no matter what circumstances we might be in. Love them BOTH so much! But the youngest (that I will be taking on this trip) and I have tons in common, so like to do the same things. Glad you have new contacts that you can leave in longer!!! Yay!!!
Yeah Beansie, I was NOT pulling your leg!! IT shocked the hail outta me when I saw it! BUT then when I remembered how MUCH green food coloring I had used, it all made sense, or made poop! But now that you have reminded me....guess I need to start thinking of an April Fools prank. We will be back in Lisbon, as we fly home on the 2nd, which is my 4 yr cancerversary. What an ordeal to get the trash picked up! Sheesh!!! I prolly would have stayed awake too, knowing I had to get up THAT early. Glad you made it back home ok, too. Hope you slept well last night (I did). AND, my dear, aren't you a bit late wid da invites??? I mean, come on, aren't you gonna have us all over for a lampshade partay while you are "home alone"????? Oh, that song is tooo funneeee, I will listen to the video a bit later on, but will copy the song to send to my DH. Loved it!!!
Juliet, Yup, we is all jest toooo sexy!! Love how NM made the DOTD to coordinate wif yur cartoon!
Hmmmm Karen, NM has some good stress releasers! I'll take #3! Sure sucks that you can't cry yet. I would gladly cry for you if that would work.
WooHoo, Raquelle Leather Rock is dwinking a "Too Sexy" dwink RIGHT NOW! Served by the all too sexy Mr. Big (or was he renamed Mr. Big Banana?)!!! Oh de dey is starting out GUD!
Hugssssssssss,
Kathy
-
Oh yeah, Bernie loved the green poo cartoon....sooooooo true though!!! LOL.
NM, YAY, good reason to celebrate!!! Sew glad you got those shelves finished. AND leftovers for your raised garden bed...fantastic! I was surprised when reading about building one, that it is not good to use treated wood (except one type that is safe)...but use cedar or something. Didn't realize the chemicals would leach into the soil and the vegetables! Guess it wouldn't matter with flowers though. But I am thinking your shelves would not have been out of pressure treated wood! Now....what will be your first sewing project in your nicely organized sewing room????
ChEARS.....lifting my Too Sexy dwink to your new sewing shelves....*ka-chink*!
-
I'm using plain Pine, not pressure treated, not treated at all. You are right that chemicals leach into the soil from pressure treated wood, and I believe it's got arsenic or some other such unhealthy chemical, or more than one, in it. Plants will pick it up, and it has been found in veggies. I'm not sure it will do any harm to flowers, but since I don't have pressure treated wood, no worries anyway!
I do try to manage my garden and yard more or less organically. I've got really good soil and keep working it to keep it good.
OK time to get the tiller out of the box!
-
Probably planning purrrfect Planting Party, perchance???? I'll time it to arrive AFTER the tilling is done....lol.
-
Well, after reading how the coffee is made, I think, for me personally....I'll pass!
Oh Dorky, you iz so funny to poop in!!! Adorkable, if you are helping your neighbor use up their bandwidth, then that would cause it to be very slow. When we reached ours, we couldn't even get on the internet. Glad you got to do some retail therapy, but BOOOO, you din't get to see Scuby. HAPPY HAPPY BOYTHDAY TO YOUR DH!
Mema, sounds like you have about as much shopping choices as I do. Hope you can find some nice bargains. I got a pedi yesterday, which is actually just me polishing me own tootsies, will do my nails tomarry or Frieday, so they look nice foy da show.
Kathy, are your tootsies feeling up to normal shoes now? What will the weather be like for your trip?
LOL Beans......is that you and your DH??? Wuz glad you got da trash out, but I tink I might have waited and took out the following week. We don't have trash pick up, we hab to take ours to da dump. So I burn what I can, and we can take certain plastics and tin cans to recycle dump for free. So only go to dump trash every few months. And you do HEP the other loungettes, cuz you iz so funny too, like de Dorky and Wawa and Mema. I agwee, the civet is a cutie patootie. I sawry you git skeert, when will DH be home and a big congrats to your friend that keeps kicking RB to da curb. Meese say a prayer for him too.
NM, I too am glad you asked about the Kopi Luwak, as I was just reading the names of the drinks, and not so much what was in them!
Karen....wine and GS cookies, what a great combo. Hope it got you to relax.
Juliet.....YES we is TOO SEXY!
NM, I wish I could wear contacts, but I can't see things close up when I do, so I have to wear glasses. I am in front of a computer all da dayem time and can easily take my glasses off for that. Plus I have astigmatism, and the contacts can be uncomfortable. In the past, I wore them all the time, I miss them. Great ideas for relieving stress!! Great DOTD for all us Sexy Biotches!!!
-
Holy Poop.............me bumpdid NM and Wawa! Meeze habs to go shower tho, so will read later what you 2 SEXY LADIES had to say!
MUAH!
-
Beansie, OH loved the video too!!! I did change "creek" to "crick" when sending the words to my DH....so he could more easily figger out what "crick" rhymed with! LOL. And so neat that you and your Dad went to see them, and he enjoyed them so much! Good memories!!!
-
Im sexy and I know it.....Im sexy and I know it....lol love that song, I will have a sexy drink pretty please. Am feeling pretty darn good, have hit my goal weight, hair is coming in nicely, kids are great going to Mazatlan soon....whooo hoooo Happy Hump Day my dear friends
Hugs Kymn

Wawa - Your DD's sound beautiful as does your GD. My DD is 40, DS 39 and I too raised them alone. Left X when DS was only 11 mos old. That was Aug ‘73 and I did not remarry until Oct ‘93. Am blessed they turned out to be such wonderful, beautiful souls. Oh n kinda nice looking too...LOL. Did I tell ya, my DD is my height, 5'10, I wear an 11 shoe, she a 12? Have a BFF who is 6' n only wears a size 10. Like other things in life....jes doesn't seem fair...LOL. That Espada sounds great even with da bananas. Am soo excited for you and all the time you're gonna share with your DD's. I forget, is mom and dad going with on this trip?
Beans - Brrrrr and that trash thingy in da snow, does not sound like fun at all and it sounds very dangerous. Tell me Geneveve has On-Star or that you take ur cell phone when u do dat? Lub da Farmer yoke....will try n ck out the you tube later, gotta finish dis post n get to my pedicure appt. Muah!

NM - good advice for the stress release....lately mine have been crying and laughing...sigh...hope to include #3 soon...LOL. Going to Overton with DH after my toes....hope to be back in time to try da DOTD...perfeck!
Goldie - I mostly do my own, but every now and then I treat myself and since my knee is only about 80% I wouldn't be able to do my own right now anyway.
Kymn - LOL I love that song too plus da other one ‘too sexy for my shirt' or sumpin like that. You sound so gr8...sooo good to see ya in these spirits and posting regularly. Mayb catch ya later for a ‘Too Sexy' dwinkie or twoes!

Mema, Ima tall lika you, wif big boats too! 5'9" and I can wear a 10 in open toe shoes/flip flops, but find an 11 more comfy with closed toes/boots.
Beanzy, I have not had a chance to look at da video's.
Ooooooo, I so SEXY!!!!!
-
Well, this sexy lady needs a big dwinkie. Preferably a cold one. Got the tiller put together, struggled with a couple of bolts for more than an hour, then went to Wally World and got the correct tool (socket wrench, if you're really interested. I had to look it up on Wikipedia). Took all of 3 minutes to finish the job after I got home. BUT, I'm pooped and achy and don't have enough oomph left to go tilling! So I'll do that part tomorrow. For now I need to ge some anti achey stuff into me and some fluids and maybe even take a nap. But look out garden come tomorry!
-
i'll take a gallon of the dotd! everybody have a good evening, heading into work tonight the to orlando for 5 days tomorrow!
-
NM, if you are not so muddy, maybe you can use some of your plant protectors to get an early jump on some things?
I almost said "EVENING"? But in FL it is already 5 pee em, only 2 here. But have a goodun at work Juliet. I see you are taking a gallon of some sexy with ya!
-
NM, Let me know what anti-achey stuff you recommend...I feel like chit too...just achy, tired, eyes sore....If you know a magic potion, I can use some too! Glad you finally got the tiller put together...yay! Hope tomorrow is pretty weather so you can use it, if you get rested enough.
Mema, Just my youngest DD and I are going to Portugal. I remarried when she was almost 3 (oldest was 5+), to my wonderful late DH, who adopted them. He was a good daddy, but passed when she was 14 and my older DD was just 17. Then I remarried 5+ yrs later. You did a good job raising your kids alone!!! Please give yourself a big pat on the back, okay?
Hi Kymn!!!!

ME ME ME...........I'LL DWINK FOY YOU! Can ALWAYS use some more sexy!!!! Kathy, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get sick, right before your trip. You just can't! Get the Vit C and Zinc going, PRONTO!
-
Oh gud, sew gwad youse be dwinkin for mese, Lawrri! I know...CANNOT get sick. I had to get off my vitC, and so many supplements after the ulcers were found. Maybe if I dissolve it in OJ, or just dwink lots of OJ, that would help. But no wodka...

-
Hi girls!! Been missin y'all, just been busy busy busy!! Hope everyone is doing well! Will play catch up later, just wanted to say hi!! And may not be back til Saturday, cause next few days are soooo busy at work, and Friday after work going to see the hunger games at the movies with a dear friend!! Woo hoo!! And Jennifer Lawrence is from right here in Kentucky!! Her parents own the camp where my daughter goes in the summer!! Can't wait to see the movie, books were great!
-
Goldie--using the plant protectors has crossed my mind, but I'm going to wait until after the end of March/start of April snow storm to come and go before I put anything out. Just a bit too soon here, even if it is going to be 80 degrees again tomorrow. Come Friday it drops back to the 40's daytime and 20's to 30's nighttime. Of course, I may change my mind depending on how the tilling goes tomorrow!
Wahine--the anti=achey stuff I'm using is tylenol and wine. And a hot shower. I'll dwinky for you tonight!
Mrs. Vino--have fun at the movies!
-
Thanks NM! Enjoy the Tylenol/wine combo, add a lil Xanax for sleep, wink wink!! Love ya!
-
Yeah Alli, hope you really enjoy that movie! I haven't read the books, but the commercials look awesome. Hope you find time to be here more often....if you don't get back till Saturday, thats the day I will be in Amsterdam, hopefully enjoying a canal tour, and if iines aren't too long, revisiting the Anne Frank home. AND getting back to the airport in time for the flt to Lisbon (have almost a 9 hr layover). Hmmmm good idea about the xanax....may add that to the tylenol. Don't feel like wine yet (BUT so many galz are dwinking for me...aren't they sweet!).
Thanks for your anti-achey recipe, NM!
When I emailed my DD that I will prolly take flip flops in case we go to the pool, I accidentally wrote it as "poo"! She let me know she DOES NOT want to go to the poo....! Guess all the green poop talk this week got me mixed up!
Early bed-time tonight (I hope).....DorK hope you still can get online, and that your work will fall into place. You've been a BIZZY gal.

Kym wow!!! good to see you!!! You sound like you are really doing good!!!!
Dotty, I remember well the using of the neighbours internet connection......hahahaha!!! How could I forget?! Good to hear that you only need to wait another three weeks before you can have your boobie fixed. I know it feels like a long time but believe me it will be here before you know it!
Scubes hope you get your dosage right so it gives the help that you want and need.

I have been flat out like a lizard drinking.....or is that like a me drinking?......either way, I have been waaaaay busy getting organised for this op. This time next week I will be in theatre getting my new knee......yahoooo!!!!!!! I must admit that it has been a bit of a pain getting things sorted and all the hooha that goes on with organising it really makes you think twice about having it done in the first place. I guess that is to discourage people from doing it unneccessarily...........any hooo I just thave the ECG and bloods to be done on Monday and then the visit from the community nurse to make sure I have all the equipment ready for when I get home.
I think I'll try to sneak up on the Dorkster and the Beans...................BOO!!!!!!!
TITZ UP!!!!!!!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

I got the results of my bone density today....NOT GOOD.....I guess I made a foolish decision when I stopped the Actonel.....I stopped taking it a while after stopping the AI's, probably a year and half ago......figured I didn't need it (well....I also was tired of taking sooo many meds)....I was osteopenic....Well....in 2 years and 3 months since my last bone density, my nunmbers have tanked......spine score is osteoporotic!!! -7.2% decline in AP spine and -2.1% decline in total hip...Decline in lumbar spine since first bone density 5 1/2 years ago is -13.8%....So now waiting for either PCP or Onc to call with what to do.....I went from osteopenic to osteoporotic after one year on AI's so that is when I was put on Actonel and a year later scores improved to osteopenic again.....My mom takes a biophosphonate, but didn't start till around 70.....This darn BC wrecks sooo much havic in our lifes....Mom had not probs with menopause either....
Long work day today....I didn't get home till close to 6...close to a 10 hour work day...then I had a meeting tonight...so 12 hour day....as soon as I got home, got right into my jammies....now enjoying my 2nd glass of wine.....
Need to go back and read all the days posts.....Sweet dreams....
-
Chrissy....see we were posting at the same time....gave DD your b'day greetings.....you need to give us the exact time/day of your surgery.....we will be there with you.....HUgs...
-
Awe Karen sorry to hear the news on your DEXA wasn't good.........makes me think I should go get one done. I think it's been just over a year since I had one but I've been on an AI now for three years.
Surgery is for Friday 30th March my time but that will be Thursday 29th for you. I will be admitted at 12.30pm but I'm not sure where I am on the surgical list but it is a long surgery so guessing it will be around the 2.00pm when I go down. Love to have all you girls with me as I must admit this whole thing, for the first time in my life, has freaked me out a little. I think it's just the thought of what is to come and I'm sure that I will be fine on the day.
Love n hugs. Chrissy
